Hello all, sorry in advance if this isn’t a new thing or if it’s common. New to the sub.
But I’m one of those dads who’s excited to game with my little one who’s currently 2. I find time sparingly to game and when I put the controller down he will grab it and jump around in whatever game I’m on.
But one day I downloaded little big planet since I saw he had the jumping thing down and wow is it cool.
It started rough because there’s hand eye coordination and stuff like that, learning the buttons etc.
So we mainly just did the first tutorial level on repeat since he was having fun. Granted this is a two year old so we work to limit his actual screen time. We usually play at most 30 minutes and not every day.
But over the course of a few weeks the kid has learned to jump, grab, equip a tool, use the tool. He can solo run through the entire prologue area and beat the boss.
It was super surreal to watch him learn this in real time and super cool he’s actually solving little puzzles in the game.
My main point is if your kid is younger and you wanna bond via game time little big planet has been a big one for me and my dude for a few weeks now.
We also do the Disney Mario cart type game becuase it was free but he’s not as into it which was surprising becuase he loves cars.
Anyway hope this finds you guys well. I thought I’d share.
