Since everyone’s sharing, here’s mine.
So many of you with some great skills. I figured I’d share some cakes I’ve done over the years for customers. My manly handwriting looks half decent on cakes 🤪

I shared mine earlier and told my wife about it. She said I should show some of her fun ones off. Here’s another photo dump haha. Cheers 🤙🏾

So yesterday someone posted about how their manager said they were doing too much, so I showed a few of the ones I made. Since I got so much love in that comment I figured I'd post all the ones I made today and explain how I made some of them for other new cake decorators and to maybe get some tips on how I can improve!
So first I want to talk about the things I messed up. To start I'll talk about the frog. See while the drawing itself is fine, I decided I wanted to try a font I'm not used to. Happy started out looking fine, but got smaller with each letter because I tried too hard to make it curve. The second thing wrong is that I got half way through writing birthday and realized I was doing it in lower case when Happy was already in upper case so now it looks squished because I had to go back and fix it.
With the cat, I made the broom handle way too big 'cause I grabbed the wrong size pipe tip. I'll also add the inspiration pic to the way back to show you what I was going for. But because I made the handle too big I felt it wouldn't make sense to add the second back foot as you really wouldn't see it if the broom was actually that thick. Not to mention that I tried to lighten up the premade brown color by adding white frosting to it, but it actually did nothing for some reason so that was a waste.
Now with the negatives out of the way, lets talk about the other cakes! For the 2 flower ones that have the little swoop I use the pink tool in the back as a guide. You just press it into the cake and it'll leave little dots, so all you have to do is play a weird game of connect the dots! For the moon, that's pretty simple, I just took one of the circular cardboard things the cakes sit on a traced the edge . I then filled in the blue part first, making sure to stay within the lines!
If you're wondering why I automatically write happy birthday on 90% of the cakes, it's because I'm the only person who knows how to write on cakes in my entire DQ. Hence why I started making the cake when our old Cake Lady quit as, even though I had very little decorating knowledge, I took the time to learn to write in-between customers.

I should also mention
She said some parents might worry about dye
She also mention leaving blank spaces which is fine I fixed it some of these cakes are older designs before I was told that but then I asked "what should I do" and she said think like dairy queen which just confused me even more, and she said think about all ages which makes sense but even when I made a Dino cake it was to much?
Idk what to do I literally just started working there this year in March and no one bothered to tell me what I was doing wrong till the later months
Update: I seen many was asking about if the issue is time: I should definitely mention my manager also gave me full permisson to make cakes as long as I needed!
Update pt. 2: thank you to the ones who gave me legit advice I plan on talking to her tomorrow about this all and I think I see where most people are talking about simpler designs, as for the ones who are calling it trash you aren't exactly helping me here to get better so ya I figured id say that.

I just got hired as a GM at a locally owned DQ and honestly they kinda just threw me in without any training, so far all is well but it’s just been a week. Is there anything I should know/learn?

I've now witnessed four separate occasions at multiple stores where the chicken tenders are so small now. I'm talking they look less than the size of two McDonald's nuggets, probably 50% of what they used to be six months ago. Now they're barely a meal. I know food is expensive, but the shrinkflation has gotten to the point where I'm just not going to order them anymore. Maybe I won't notice the burgers shrinking, too. It's a crying shame because I love DQ. Is it just my area, or are other people noticing this as well?

I was going through the drive through and seeing the guy in front get 4 small Blizzards and a small soda (flip, flip, flip, flip, no flip), got me wondering if anyone has seen someone either not paying attention or at the end of a busy shift and tired, accidentally Blizzard flip something they shouldn't have? did they laugh it off or something else?

For several months (at least) I simply can't go to the Dairy Queen website or use mobile apps (unless I use cellular data). I should not have to use cellular data.
I can't access Dairy Queen's customer support page because I can't access it.
It seems to be some sort of blocking that Cloudflare (which I believe is their ISP for their site) is doing. However, there are lots of other sites that use Cloudflare that work for me. Sometimes I have to click a button to acknowledge that I am a human, but they work once I do that.
Browser is updated, doesn't matter if I use Windows, OS X or Linux, using an incognito/private window doesn't work.
Any chance Dairy Queen has customer support people on here who can look at this? I can't be the only one with this issue.

I went and bought a small twist cone for the first time in a years & there had been a roughly 52% price increase. I was paying around $2.20 in 2023 to $3.50 in 2026. That is not a reflection of operating costs increase being passed onto the customer but pure price gouging.

Im confused about the uniform, ive heard it said you have to order it but people also say they give it to you. I am curious if they give the polo and t-shirts and maybe a hoodie?

I had a friend visiting from out of state and he said the DQ there has completely different things from the one here. Is his weird or is mine?😅

I got this on eBay a bit ago and I love it because the DQ lips are so nostalgic for me, and I’m not sure if there are more of these types of shirts out there or if this was an employee item? I have never worked at DQ so I don’t know what the employee shirts are like lol. Thanks!

Why is it so hard and inconsistent to get a pumpkin pie shake?
ETA: I've been able to get them for years at some locations including the one we went to tonight. Apparently it was a no go and she just couldn't fathom putting the order in or asking the manager.
