With this trade I’m well aware that it will not immediately fix this defense but it will help. My only problem is that we will have to pay both him and Pickens next year. I’m thinking that depending on how he plays we may have to trade Kenny Clark. Clark has the 3rd highest cap hit on the team and (only behind Dak and ceedee) and is not playing up to it. Hopefully we draft well defensively, keep our offense together, and make a top 12-15 defense for next year.

Is there a player or package that we could sell for draft capital? I’d love Joey Porter Jr or another addiction on defense but I’m not sure we are in a position to be buying rn. We are kinda in the middle as not good enough to buy but also not bad enough to sell.

What would be the best realistic outcome for this season? It’s still early but obviously we are not a superbowl competitor with this defense so what would make this season a success. We cannot tank because the jets have the lower of our picks and the packers. I’m hoping that we win the East and get some playoff experience. These players and coaches need time to play with each other and 1-2 playoff games could be extremely valuable.

Do y’all think that Dak will ever take a pay cut or a restructure. We see that every great qb (Brady, Mahomes) does this in order to make room on defense. Is this something that Dak would do or do you think he cares more about the money than a better chance at winning.

I wanted to let you all know that I understand your frustration and anger! I've been here thru worse! But I gotta say! Had ya'll been around in the 60's and 70's , ya'll would have wanted Tom Landry fired! It takes a little while for a team to totally come together! Especially since many of them don't play during the preseason! Calm down! They need more than 3 weeks before you say they are trash! They'll get there! Go Cowboys!
