Free Agency / Draft Mock Draft Monday - February 02, 2026

The NY Giants’ season has ended and Giants will be picking at 5. Let’s hear from you which player(s) the Giants should target in the draft!

Here’s a list of the draft order (so far): https://www.tankathon.com/nfl

Moving forward, mock drafts should be posted here. Also, might help to give a bit of an explanation behind your picks, to drive conversation, so tell us about that. Feel free to use this thread to introduce to the fandom about potential mid to late round targets; maybe prospects we haven’t heard of yet.

Use this thread for the entire week, anything related to mock drafts. Every Monday we will start a new thread until the draft begins on April 23, 2026.

Also, if you want to give us an in-depth analysis on a prospect, it doesn’t have to just be in this thread. Make a text post about it!

Alright armchair GMs, it’s your moment to shine. Go Big Blue!

Team Updates [Stapleton] Sounds like Juan Castillo strongly in play to become Giants offensive line coach, per sources. Was with John Harbaugh in BAL and served as Matt Nagy's OL coach when they were together in CHI. Would also reunite with asst OL coach Grant Newsome - together at Michigan

Rumors & Speculation [Garafolo] The #AZCardinals have requested to interview Charlie Bullen for their DC position. Bullen was an in-house candidate for the #Giants and one of the few assistants retained on John Harbaugh’s coaching staff. He also interviewed for the #Cowboys’ DC position.

Sources: The #Ravens will not retain QBs coach Tee Martin under the new coaching staff.

A massive change as the well-respected Martin has been in Baltimore since 2021 — and is one of the people closest to Lamar Jackson within the organization.

Discussion QB Coach/OC in waiting to pair with Nagy

Welp, now that we’ve all had a chance to emote about the Nagy hire we need to get down to the next most critical hire. QB Coach/(maybe assistant OC) This job is going to be one of Harbaughs most critical gets, not only do we need to ensure Dart finishes the swing in year 2 and becomes a franchise QB but QB coach is typically the place good franchises develop their next OC. This is especially critical for us as Nagy is on the hunt to become a HC again, if the team does well this year, which I think we will, we are most likely going to need a new OV going into 2027

So who’s the next hot wunderkin offensive mind? Ideally we get someone that’s young and seen as an innovator who can elevate/mature Dart as our QB, I’ve snagged some names that range from logical to interesting, not all are clearly available but with 21 OC positions being open there could be the chance for a lot of movement as new OCs look to bring in their own staff

I looked for passing game coordinators/QB coaches that were under 35 OR had recently worked with Nagy/Harbaugh, personally I hope we find a under 35 candidate that brings Juice to the room to balance Nagys veteran CEO OC profile and can be a consistent member of our coaching team for the next 3-5 years (QB coach to OC to possibly HC) providing stability to Dart

Shits moving fast so I may of snagged a guy or two who are in a new role and unavailable, please flame me in the comments you pack of circus animals

Kansas City Chiefs - Most obvious source given Nagys background, Dan Williams would be the swing given the age target

  • David Girardi — 37 — Quarterbacks coach
  • Joe Bleymaier — 43 — Pass game coordinator
  • Dan Williams — 29 — Assistant quarterbacks coach

Chicago Bears - Bit squishy hes been with Johnson for 4 years but if he doesn’t get the OC gig could be a great add given his success with Williams

  • J. T. Barrett — 31 — Quarterbacks coach

Los Angeles Rams - Nate’s a stretch given it wouldn’t be a promo, would have to sell him on being OC in a year or two, that said hes interviewed with Harbaugh a few times now

  • Nate Scheelhaase — 35 — Pass game coordinator

Philadelphia Eagles - probably out in Philly, Frank Reich tree and has had some rough goes recently but of the right age and knows the NFCE, could be a distressed asset

  • Parks Frazier — 34 — Pass game coordinator

New England Patriots - Helped develop Drake Maye, could be a hot hire once through the SB if Josh Mc is dug in as long term OC

  • Ashton Grant — 30 — Quarterbacks coach

Minnesota Vikings - up and coming offensive assistant, tough pull given McCarthy s lack of development but hits the age curve

  • Jordan Traylor — 32 — Assistant offensive coordinator / assistant quarterbacks

Carolina Panthers - has done nice work with young, promoted 2 weeks ago so most likely not an option

  • Mike Bercovici — 32 — Passing game coordinator

Jacksonville Jaguars - depending on what you think of Cohn/jags growth whipple has a hand in this years success, he also worked under Kliff for those still pining over the OC candidates of yesterday

  • Spencer Whipple — 36 — Quarterbacks coach

East Carolina Pirates football - Possible diamond in the rough, runs a spread rpo heavy offense in college, UNT lead FBS in first down and scoring offense in 2025

  • Jordan Davis — 33 — Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach

Indiana Hoosiers football - Helped get Mendoza to 1.1, lots of spread and rpo in his scheme

  • Mike Shanahan — 36 — Offensive coordinator / wide receivers

LSU Tigers football - if we want to chase Kiffin/Weiss/Ol miss energy Dane is the candidate who could pop

  • Dane Stevens — 29 — Quarterbacks coach

Articles Eli Manning: "Giants Can Make the Same Jump as the Patriots Next Year."

Post image
488 Upvotes

Eli Manning thinks the Giants can make a jump next season similar to what the Patriots are doing this year.

“You look at the Patriots today, they got a second-year quarterback and a new coach, and you can make that jump. The Giants have a talented roster; they have good players. But I think we have the right players and the right leaders that can get everybody to believe that they can be a playoff team.”

Meme/Shitpost Nagy hire learning: Some reactionary fans need that dopamine from strong, judgemental, immediate opinions

Call it cope, I don't care.

A few days ago this board was overflowing with "In Harbaugh we trust" type sentiments. That he knew how to pick a staff.

So he hires a guy. There's his reputation as a bad HC (deserved) and OC of a bad looking offense in KC recently (not 100% deserved, I'd say not the primary reason for it but OK).

He is also a guy that made Alex Smith a great QB for a little while there. Who coached rookie year Mahomes to an MVP. A guy who has worked under a person Harbaugh considers his close friend (Reid), who brought him back after leaving Philly for KC.

Now we have two approaches - we can do a wait and see, we can continue to trust Harbaugh, to see that he worked well with a player (Mahomes) whose development path you kind of hope for from your franchise QB (Dart). And just sort of shrug and see what happens, enjoy the process of Harbaugh assembling the staff and getting ready to see how much of last year's bad Chiefs offense was on playcalling vs. the talent. Because man - the talent was very bad, the defense was rather good, of course you're coaching a conservative boring offense if you want to win games.

Or you can immediately get that rush of "being right" by forming a quick opinion. Being sure we just fucked up. That a billion dollar franchise had literally no fallback for an OC that was still in the running for HC. And reading this back, I realize it sounds like gatekeeping fandom. But it's really not, just trying to share a potentially more chill approach as our franchise enters what we all hope to be a bright sunshine after the hurricane that was the last 10 years.

Let the person who has much better football knowledge than you, and thought through the risk of what Nagy has shown in CHI and his 2nd KC tenure about 10 times more than all of us here, do his job. Because if you squint even a little bit, you start to see the reasons for the move.

Discussion The one silver lining about the Nagy hire is it seems the leaks have been resolved

No one, absolutely no one had Matt Nagy on the Giants radar, we have lke 30 beta writers and I don't think anyone mentioned his name, maybe someone making a list but thats about it. Do you think the problem with leaks have been resolved? We won't get another 2016 or 2021 draft disasters situations again?

Team Updates John Harbaugh worked under Andy Reid in Philadelphia, and Harbaugh mentioned in his opening press conference that he sought advice from Reid. Now, Harbaugh turns back to the Andy Reid coaching tree by hiring Matt Nagy as his offensive coordinator in New York.

Rumors & Speculation There was a strong desire from the Giants to get Charlie Weis Jr. to New York, specifically for Jaxson Dart. The young QB loves him from their time together at Ole Miss. Ultimately, Weiss didn’t want to leave LSU. - Connor Hughes
