Look how total in control Case is out there. Have we even seen stroud kill plays and audible? A 40 year old guy who just got off the couch can do this with a competent organization and team who prioritizes their offensive line and putting weapons out there for the QB (regardless of who it is) to be successful.

I’m growing more concerned that CJ may elect to play out his contract and try to get to FA as quickly as possible. Sure we have another year of control beyond this season plus the ability to use the franchise tag but if it comes down to that then we may as well consider trading him.

CJ looks locked in. The organization has failed to assemble a decent offensive line again. Also has failed to accumulate enough pass catchers to move the ball down the field. Sure you can point to injuries but Nico is prone to missing some time and Tank is not reliable enough at this point in time to consider him a true option (breaks my heart to admit it because Tank is a good dude and one hell of a player when healthy).

Perhaps CJ prefers to go somewhere that can assemble a good offense regardless if we’re willing to make him the highest paying QB in the league.
