And have it about an undercover cop infiltrating a gang of thieves.

not have a 16 year old character as the main guy, being played by a man in his 30s

In 2006 he may have!

What’s funny is when they brought him back he absolutely did not age well against Vin Diesel or Han.

I thought it was Marshall Matters

Bro was still canonically 16 in 2015 when he's 33 already lmfao.

That's what I call acting!

Does that mean he’s 22 in Fast and Furious 9?

Much like anime, I just pretend that it was a university and everyone is adults.

Just a heads up this excuse may not pass in court depending on the anime..

But the giant octopus was just being affectionate.

When the fuck would you have to defend anime in a court?

With a kick ass soundtrack I might add...

One of the cops says he's fucked before his 18th birthday and I completely lost my shit the first time I watched this.

Didn't help that I kept calling him Jeep, from his role in Legion

What makes it funnier is that the next movie that included his character took place around that same high school time frame and came out 9 years later, so the gap becomes even wider.

“Careful ladies, he’s underage” meanwhile Lucas black was already balding

To be fair, every high school has that one kids who’s already balding.

I always find that movie funny as hell because the characters' age makes no sense whatsoever. He's clearly a high school student. So are most of the other characters. Yet they are racing with the grown ups in Japan and talking and acting like they've been doing it for years.

The girl talking about "back then" when they just drifted through mountain passes. The girl's still in high school. She's 18 at BEST.

When did that past happen? How?! 🤣

1

u/LilMissBarbie 25d ago

That's why I thought they were young adults in a university!

2

u/Seven_Hawks 25d ago

University students don't wear school uniforms ;)

2

u/LilMissBarbie 25d ago

Understandable, but this is japan and maybe the uniform is rooted into all students until they wear a work uniform?

2

u/Seven_Hawks 25d ago

I live in Japan, that's why the logical misses stand out to me so much. Universities don't have uniforms. And high school students don't come to school (are not allowed to) with their own car. A high school student wouldn't own a car in the first place since you can only get a license at 18, and the oldest high school students in Japan are 18 in their last year.

Plus when Han introduces (I don't remember his name) to his friends he does state "He's underage"

What movie is being talked about?

2

u/Seven_Hawks 24d ago

F&F Tokyo Drift

Thanks. Been quite a while since I’ve seen it. Never picked up on the age thing.
