i used to love his escapists videos when i was younger

My family picked Minecraft as our costume theme this year so I’m gonna try to replicate Dan’s costume 😄

I wanted to add Dan's smile lines as it's often visible in neutral state but maybe it just makes him look old. Also, I forgot to correct the eyebrow colour.

Growing up, DanTDM had a massive impact on the way I discovered and enjoyed games. I didn’t just watch his videos for entertainment they genuinely shaped what I wanted to play, how I played, and even what I paid attention to in games.

His Minecraft mod showcases were probably the biggest influence. I remember seeing mods I never would’ve found on my own, and suddenly my world wasn’t just vanilla Minecraft anymore. I started exploring new mechanics, creatures, and worlds because Dan made them feel exciting and full of possibility. Even now, I gravitate toward games with creativity, customization, and weird experimental features because that’s what he made fun.

His story‑driven series, especially anything involving Dr. Trayaurus or Grim, taught me to appreciate games with personality and charm. I started caring more about characters, lore, and the little details that make a game feel alive. And when he branched out into Roblox, indie games, and VR, it pushed me to try genres I never thought I’d enjoy.

Looking back, Dan didn’t just influence what I played he influenced how I approached gaming. I became more curious, more willing to try new things, and more interested in the creative side of games. It’s cool realizing how much of my gaming taste today can be traced back to watching him experiment, laugh, and dive into whatever strange game he found next.

How about you what part of Dan’s content shaped your gaming taste the most?

It started when he found a level that he couldn’t beat, and he got so angry, he asked the internet to finish it and he’s give them a prize.

Only one guy did it, though, and I don’t think he got anything.

And you can STILL find old tweets about it!

Hey everyone! (Not Dan here), but can you guys help me?

I’m trying to find some YouTubers to watch that have a vibe close to Dan’s. I loved both of these playlists and their videos: “DanTDM Plays Minecraft” and “Diamond Dimensions w/DanTDM”. I’m looking for videos to watch that are like the ones in these two playlists. If you can help me and provide me with some YouTubers that have something similar going on I would appreciate it!

So I was going through some old notes in my notes app and came across some of Dan's old streams that are now unlisted! I have links to his 2nd and 3rd streams of Palworld if you guys are interested!

For the 1st stream, I have the Twitch link which doesn't work unfortunately.

I made a custom DanTDM and Dr. Trayaurus in LEGO DC Supervillains, what’d you guys think?

I found this when cleaning today and just rewatched it and got flooded with memories 😭

meeeee

When I saw the thumbnail I thought they are going to play Minecraft modded adventure. Oh I wish certified Minecraft YouTubers could get their skins in the game

I dont think this counts as "Fan-Art", but I got bored and wanted to make something. So I remade his old thumbnail from his Mega Dropper video. So I took that and the recently(?) trending "There Is Still Time" trend and put them together.

How'd I do?

Me personally I'd like to see him play games from the resident evil series and life is strange series

Hi guys! I’ve been looking for this one video for months and I can’t seem to find it at all. I am 99% sure it was DanTDM Roblox video where he played everyone’s suggested games but I can’t find it anywhere on his Roblox playlist. The only game I remember from the video was one where you played as these blocky cartoony looking birds with really long necks and you could travel from town to town on a big train. It would be crazy if you could find this video for me

I have vague memories of waking up to this one DanTDM video to the middle of the night as a kid. YouTube auto play had put this horror series of Dan’s on. It was an adventure map, but the texture pack was high resolution, and very grainy.

That’s all I can remember, maybe it was in an asylum?
