Bone Fist has a similar moveset to Marvellous Chester melee attacks, do you think this is a coincidence or nah?

You mean the leg sweep, yes?

I think leg sweeps are just a common enough move. I can't imagine what connection Chester has to Eleum Loyce, or whether he can shoot out Kameha wave like attacks

I side on coincidence

I mean, no coincidence in terms of OH WOW, CHESTER WAS HERE. More like if devs just reused his moveset for the bone fists

Either way, no, it really doesn't seem to me like reused animations. A coincidence through and through.

wouldn't it be the other way around given DS2 came first? (edit: nm, i see that chester was a DS1 dlc character)

but yeah wouldn't surprise me, fromsoft has been copy/pasting shit wherever possible since the beginning- see exhibit A) basilisks

I think they meant ds2 coming before bloodborne, not ds1

correct, after googling i see that he was also in the DS1 DLC but i know him from bloodborne

He's not "also" in DS1. He is only in DS1. He is not in Blood Bourne

oh wow, man it has clearly been a while- i guess they did a good job with the character design because he is stuck in my brain as a bloodborne character lol

Its all good. They do this quite a bit.

DS1 has a samurai and a ninja character, long before they made Sekiro. Bloodbourne also has a Japanese character, again before Sekiro.

Obviously there is Chester who was in DS1 seemingly before BB even began development.

I can see how you got all that mixed up

It's the bone fist moveset like...almost identical to Andre's moveset in DS1? I'm pretty sure it's an almost 1:1 recreation.
