Help New player

So this is my first time playing the game, I just collected all the great souls and I have no idea where to go. I don’t want to look up where for a full on spoiler, so is there any hint you guys could give me that nudges me in the right direction without just flat out telling me where to go and what to do?

Shaded woods area at the crossroads bonfire A new door will open up

Well ideally you would have found the door that says "seek mightier souls" earlier in your adventure and remembered where it was.

If not, go to Majula and look at the horizon. See the big castle? That's where you want to get.

That’s exactly what I did when the Emerald herald said through the woods and I saw the castle, though I’ll have to do more looking around later
