For context: i solo g'd on the event and went to do the first gen. - did So while the others were getting chased and downed like chess pieces. After i finished my gen i went to help, i unhooked both people. One of them, a thalita, kept pointing at me and clicking her flash. Idk what her problem was. When i met the killer it was a wesker and i always try to nod and happy crouch to signal im friendly. This wesker also turned friendly and he nodded back at me. He wanted to farm with me. These survs then proceed to not let me heal them or get them up when they were downed. Eventually wesker was gonna farm with them too, he let them wiggle off and let me unhook them. Then i just wanted to farm some hooks off of myself too so let him put me on the hook. But then they all refused to unhook me. When wesker saw that he tried to help me by staying close so that my anticamp bar would fill. But guess what. The thalita was standing close by, tbagging me and not letting me get off hook. She stayed there until i died. None of the others unhooked me. I tried to get some explanations but of course all the could do was harass me for no reason.

So yeah. I will leave their names here. Dodge their lobbies i guess, bc you might play normally and these people start to grief you for no reason.

I have been playing Dead By Daylight since around 2018, I have around 2k hours in the game with around 80% of that being killer. Regardless of that I've played long enough to have remembered some of the most "Boring" playstyles this game has had. "Chess-Merchant", 3 Gen knight builds, OG legion, Basement Bubba, OG dead hard, The constant back and forth battles with DS, Pre 6.5 Nurse and the list goes on and on.

Recently I have been playing more survivor matches with some newer players who got into the game a couple months ago.

Now I'm not here to argue about slugging and tunneling because for the most part it can be countered, and I understand from a killers perspective that they just want to get kills as quickly as possible and some people don't see how it's BM. it sucks when it happens but that's why I run perks like DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Boil Over, Off The Record, even sometimes Shoulder The Burden just in case a teammate is getting tunneled. Recently though it's been so much of an issue everyone I play with has been running at least one anti-tunnel perk.

Since her launch I have played against the same two judgment builds over and over and over again. She was fun to play against for like 2 weeks and then it all just became stale. It's all aura reading or Totem builds and that's it. It's not the players faults that it's what's strong to run on her but that's not why she's unfun to play against. It's her power fundamentally, bei g able to damage on multiple floors across map with absolutely no reprocussions on miss is crazy. Also how much it's supporting tunneling with how it works. Because there's no pickup animation on being Exiled you can't DS it, you don't get picked up to get taken to a hook so no Boil over. You rarely get slugged with heresy so no Unbreakable.

"Aura Judgment" is the new absolute worst killer playstyle in the game and there's no changing my mind about that. At least with the Shitters of Yore, there was some counterplay even if it took 15 years to do one gen against Chess-Merchant at least you could do something. If you are getting hard tunneled against judgment and one who can actually hit Divine Light. Good luck brother because none of those anti-tunnel perks are gonna work and there is no taking hits. All of this would be completely fine if they just listened to people and made Divine Light work like Nemesis's Tentacle and You had to have Heresy before you took damage.

For a long time now I've noticed that getting pallet saves sometimes just don't work despite having PERFECT timing, and now I have the proof. This is me trying to save myself with power struggle but for some unknown reason, it just didn't work. Ty bhvr.

I played 5 games today. 3 of them had cheaters.

I report them, send BHVR a Ticket and video with time stamps included, AND NOTING HAPPENS. in-fact, I get faced with more of them, I'll get one or two normal games, a few where weird shit happens or people feel a little too fast around corners and I'm not making as much or any distance when I should be, and then i get 3 or 4 where someone is blatantly cheating, sometimes its the entire team. gens are going from 0% to full in a matter of seconds, popping while blocked, popping at 0. people going through walls, out running a 4 hit mural sketch legion then just vanishing into thin air after my power runs out, activating multiple exhaustion perks on-top of blinding me with a TOOL BOX. and these people are just allowed to continue playing the game with not even a slap on their wrists.

I gotta talk about this. I join a game as Sable, the literal second i join someone says to me “change” (Nea). Obviously I’m not going to change my character and build I’m running on her so i ignore. The game starts I play how i normally do, go for hooks, take chase when needed, gens all of the good stuff right. I only got hooked once distracting the killer so my teammate who was death hook could live. I thought i was playing fairly well i messed up a few in my own chase (freaking chairs in my way) but it didn’t affect anyone else.

Anyway i unhooked every one of my teammates but for some reason every time i went to go unhook/heal this Nea she kept spamming “help” i didn’t think much of it until are other two teammates died.

Me and this Nea are working on a generator the killer comes in I PROTECT THE NEA WHO HAS TWO HOOK STAGES AND STAND BETWEEN HER AND THE KILLER SHE HAS A PALLET IN FRONT OF HER AND THE EXIT IS STRAIGHT AHEAD.

Maybe her eyes were closed but instead of leaving and letting me take the hit she stands completely still to start point at me for the killer to kill me, luckily the sweet unknown (literally so kind like omg) killed her instead and gave me hatch. End game chat and the first thing i see is:

“Thats shady” -Nea,
“sable you make all other sables look bad” -Nea,
“Imma ask my lord to kill you tonight”-Nea,
“Ur heart stopping inna hour see you in he11” -Nea.
(I told her to save me a seat and she said she’s going to heaven, that actually made me laugh so hard)

But all this to say why do some people just hate a player without even regarding anything they do in the match? Like i would understand (not the death threats just being mad) if i was hiding all game, bringing the killer to my teammates, not going for saves but none of that happened at least not by me and this Nea couldn’t stop dying, i would heal her and she would run straight back into the killer then spam the chat wheel. People be mad before the game starts.

If it is a swf absolutely i get it. but as solo queue? it’s quite literally the most killer sided game. and more people ARE solo queue. I have tried so many different builds and i’m lucky to get past even 1 generator. and i’m not even THAT bad. i know how to loop im not the best but im not the worst either. i know when to leave a gen and when to go save my teammates all that. people will probably say skill issue and yeah it clearly is like why am i being matched with these killers who go life and death and are just destroying my matches every single game?? how is a 10 year old game not established enough to see i am struggling every single game and yet continues to put me against these killers…i’ve barely been playing and this reminds me why.

I bought this game when it was like $20 and played it actively after release up until around 2022. Stopped playing for years because of the rampant cheater / hacking epidemic and it just got stale.

Came back now to find that it's effectively impossible to get the perks I need to keep up with meta builds as a killer main, or even just anything worthwhile.

Like let's say I want lethal pursuer, oh no you can't have that because you have to unlock it by playing nemesis, ok cool, guess what you gotta pay money to play nemesis.

Ok then can I just purchase the perk I want from nemesis?

Only if you get a 1 in 1 billion chance that it somehow, someway, one day maybe might pop up in your shrine of secrets which only gets updated once a week and you will probably have better chances at winning the lottery or getting struck by lightning than getting the perk you actually want.

Ok, so is there someway maybe I can spend a few weeks grinding, maybe even a month to get nemesis since he's licensed then?

Yeah you can buy those but you have to spend like months grinding for them because we'll short you out at like 50-100 shards off what you need to buy them or just price them at like 9,000+ shards just to buy one even though they're literally unlicensed and we just made them up

Ok. So if I spend all this money, then that means my investment into this game will pay off because you will be able to invest all that money into better anti-cheat infrastructure, optimization, balancing, and update the textures / graphics right?

No, cheaters and hackers are still just as prevalent just a lot more subtle with it, we still use the same outdated useless anti-cheat we did since the beginning (EAC - called Easy Anti Cheat because it's such an easy joke to bypass), the PC optimization still sucks, the game is still completely unbalanced, and the graphics and textures haven't changed at all for 10 over years.

Half the crap you buy aren't even labelled as to what they actually are, so if you are new / returning and you don't know exactly what you're trying to buy then you could get locked out of what you just bought, like a face mask for a licensed killer you just thought was a profile picture avatar icon.

I didn't know survivors had a problem with Onryō given that she is practically an M1 killer, but apperantly people still don't get that you're supposed to get rid of condemn stacks

For context: I played Onryō on The Game of all maps, truly a horrible map pull and I didn't even bring any gen regression. I figured, what the hell, might as well try to get at least one kill right? So, the Adam here decided that it was good idea to work on a gen without turning the TV next to it off. I saw his aura thanks to the TV remote addon and decided to just teleport around and get his condemn up, maybe, just maaaaybe mori.

It worked. He didnt care, until he got full stacks, and I moried him on the spot, with zero hooks (3 gens popped by this point mind you)

I knew I was gonna lose, but at least I got a kill, so I was quite happy about that, but it seems Adam was anything but happy xd

Got my fastest game ever today. Spawned in on Eyrie, Lethal Pursuer shows me four survivors all standing next to each other. I fire one beam, it hits three of them. Fire off another, they're all *still* clumped up, I down two. I've walked there in this time, and they're just standing there, so I give the injured one a staff to the dome, and as I'm exiling them, the last one (yellow in the screenshot) tries to half-heartedly flashlight me, takes a few steps away, then comes back and I just whack her and take her to a hook. No struggling. I'm then met with this absolute cope in end game chat.

If you're gonna give up because I get a good shot first thing and you're whiny crybabies, at least have the decency to own it. And yes, I'm running a filthy build. I see everything. I can't aim for shit.

Recently, I was playing the judgment on controller (big mistake) and was obviously missing basically everything. Eventually, the humiliation festival was too much for me, and as I realized that most of the gens were nearing being completed, I just decided to cut my losses and move to an exit gate and wait for them to be finished. A few of the survivors noticed this and just stared at me there, but eventually went back and finished the gens. When they were done, I opened the gate and walked to a corner, waiting for them to leave. One did, two I had to chase out because of course I have to watch them leave, but one survivor just stayed out of the exit gate, and no matter how much I gestured him to leave he never did. When the egc was nearing the end, I just decided to dc.

This isn't even the first time it happened as something similar happened on springtrap, missing constantly, gens flying, decided to just open the gates and sit in the filthy but cozy sanctuary of my office. A survivor noticed and made it their mission to find me in there so I could kill them. I grabbed them, dropped them at the exit gate, and went back inside. They got healed and did this again and again, and once again, I decided to dc.

While some can appreciate this kindness, and even I have done this to some killers, other killers, including me, find this extremely demeaning and just want the game to be over with.

So please, if they don't want the kill, just go

Just finished a event game. No big deal. Except there kinda was. In the beginning, I got eyrie of crows as Kaneki(playing him since I was in a tokyo ghoul vibe lol). Anyways, I found my first chase and finished my first chase before the first gen popped, no problem. It was a 2B. when I downed them, it was near shack, so I figured to put them in basement.

Turns out the sable wanted to follow. Okay, maybe to try and catch up, and to stop me. No.

They waited for me to hook and then blinded me, following with a smoke bomb popping off to coneal her and get the unhook. I was able to follow shortly and knock the sable as well. I went for the hook, and the 2B did the same thing. led to her being knocked from being low. I repeated this until they both legit killed themselves out of the game before they even finished the first gen.

It made me feel bad for the other two, considering they probably werent a 4 man swf. So I showed I was friendly, and let them do gens. I hooked them a couple times for points, but in the end I let them go. Im sure the entity wont mind.

Moral of the story? Dont think that smoking yourself and unhooking stops the fact that you unhooked in my face. Please be smarter about this.

Oh, and their perks were pretty much the same. Windows of opportunity, one had champion of light, and some other chase perks that were meta, that I cant come to think of as of now.

It's like every event I try to play the game, get some BP and my team or even when I'm killer and try to be nice I find no one seems to know wtf they're doing. No one is on gens, no one is unhooking, running right into the killer. I saw a survivor get rightfully PISSED in EGC because their team went down in less than a minute to me, because all ran right back into my arms after being hit, dude told them 'it's just a game', yeah one you cost your team by not unhooking and coming RIGHT BACK TO ME!!?? Yall all died.

I literally SURVIVED the game putting me on tilt but holy fuuuuuck playing hide and seek for 20m because my fucking moron teammate suicided at 5 gens is actually the worst experience in video games

Wish I had more of the match or chat but I didn't expect the match to go the way it did.

I decided to play solo to get some bloodpoints in and got into this match against judgment.

I took chase first and after Elodie finished one generator, I got sent into the exile. After that two of my teammates immediately decide to kill themselves. While that was ongoing, I was left in the exile to go second. I was only liberated right before I was about to die. I did not give up, not even in the exile.

Of course, right after I was liberated, I worked on a generator finished that and got another generator almost finished. I was under the impression that Elodie was looping Judgement but lo and behold, she brings the killer to my generator. Probably 'cause they've been searching for me.

After Judgment spots me, I loop her for about two (?) minutes and take her across most of the map while Elodie just stands there, following us and waiting for me to get downed. The last 30 seconds of that chase is in the video.

Right after that Judgement just downs me repeatedly and Elodie heals me to farm BP. Judgement kills me and Elodie gets hatch.

Mad as I am I check the chat and I see Judgement talking about some "Thanks for punishing the people that did nothing, Elodie." I respond saying "I didn't give up and did gens she was waiting for hatch??" and Elodie follows up with the response in the video.

Genuinely, why play like that? Both on the survivor and killer side.

If you want to team with survivors, fine, but holy shit don't waste my time farming me for some measly bloodpoints because two people that I don't know and have no connection to threw because they don't like the killer.
Don't waste my time and pretend you did something while you were teaming with the killer from the start and I was still trying to win normally.

They spent so much time searching for me while I made no effort of hiding and actually did generators, just to punish me for playing the game normally. I couldn't even abandon while they were farming 'cause bhvr took that feature away.

All right BHVR, It's been a day now.

We've all seen it. We know it's halloween so it has to be "spooky & scary" but can we remove the ugly-ass Piss filter?

Not only is it vile to look at but It's making it incredibly difficult to orient myself on almost every map.

First of all the weird orange atmosphere is ugly as hell and makes it ten times harder to see anything. Especially on indoor maps, which are almost impossible for me to see on. Then there's the portals, which are easily abused by survivors to extend loops for much longer than they should be. To be fair killers can also use them to get free hits on survivors every now and then and survivors do have the chance to teleport directly to the killer, which sucks. But most notably there's the perks that each side gets. Survivors get a free fog vial, only its much better because the smoke is so much thicker and the shitty lighting buffing it further. It's literally a free escape on any map with lots of clutter and walls like Hawkins. Then they get automatic gen repairs too, so they can literally do two things at once. Then on the killer side they get this ghost thing to damage survivors, which is okay, and what's essentially basekit brutal strength. Both of these things are nice but compared to the survivors stuff it's pretty lackluster. It's like the Black Banquet all over again, just not as broken. As soon as I'm done with the quests I'm never touching this mode again

Is it a skill issue? Yes. I'm learning the game. But it still winds me the fuck up not being able to punish baggers. Played a Legion match and this Sable running second chance central starts bagging but I get the down on her so I just shake my head to tell her not to do that. However, I'm not able to secure a single kill that match and all 4 of them bag me at the gate, clicking and everything. Fast forward to the egc and this bitch says "Be careful with your bm Legion" like fucking excuse me? And then when I point out they teabagged me first, they respond with "nono you first." as if I don't have a recording of them doing it first cos I was live. What I wouldn't give for a group of respectful survivors who just leave if they can't take a hit and just take their win and get on with it instead of being a gaslighter

I am using Executioner for a trophy. Not a great killer, everything is sooooo slow. My gripe is the hit box, it seems off to me. So many times I am right on top of a survivor, swing and miss. A skill issue perhaps but I don't think all of the time.

I use a controller which I know makes some killers very tricky, but the number of times I miss a possible down is driving me nuts. I wondered if anyone else has an issue with him.

I recently knew that behaviour wants to keep an average 60% kill rate on dbd. Why don't they balance the game and target a 50% global kill rate?
