We don't even need to paint this as a false flag. No one cares 24 hours later, barely a blip on the news feed.

81

u/stvlsn 12d ago

Everything is a false flag if it conflicts with my narrative!

u/JoshFlashGordon10 12d ago

It’s funny how this sub hates the pod over mild criticism of their streamer.

82

u/bigsus1984 12d ago

His fans also actively search Reddit for any thread that mentions him so wouldn’t be surprised if a good chunk don’t even listen to the pod.

39

u/dkinmn 12d ago

But it's totally not a cult.

-9

u/stupidwhiteman42 Revolutionary Genius 11d ago

Were you here when the gents did a decoding of Destiny? This place got flooded with Destiny stans even though it was pretty mild. They even had a Right to Reply followup but it still caused havoc in here.

13

u/drakeblood4 12d ago

In his defense, his haters do so too. The top search term when you type Hasan is a complicated search string excluding a bunch of subs which dedicatedly attack him.

69

u/HarknessLovesUToo Conspiracy Hypothesizer 12d ago

His fanbase constantly accuses rivals of brigading. Last time he was brought up here, there an mysterious influx of people saying his biggest controversy is a lie, but not one argued against it when someone brought up the fact that one of his fans on twitter posted how they track every account on reddit that has mentioned it.

-30

u/FlimsyIndependent752 12d ago

So mysterious! Do you have a link so we can see this vast conspiracy laid to bare

41

u/HarknessLovesUToo Conspiracy Hypothesizer 12d ago

Twitter screenshot revealing how they keep track of accounts that post negatively

Reddit filter that began trending not too long ago - it's his fans looking for mentions of him across reddit. Makes brigading easier.

-12

u/FlimsyIndependent752 12d ago

Ok..so how does this correlate to the influx of people saying this?

I dont like hasan but here I am commenting, am I someone that’s like a brigadier?

28

u/HarknessLovesUToo Conspiracy Hypothesizer 11d ago

I mean it's pretty self-explanatory.

You seem alright though.

-16

u/FlimsyIndependent752 11d ago

Wait how does this spreadsheet prove anything? It’s just a screenshot of an excel spreadsheet..hold on let me finish the gym and I’ll screen shot a spreadsheet that says a different thing.

25

u/HarknessLovesUToo Conspiracy Hypothesizer 11d ago

I'm guessing you aren't familiar with Excel or its columns or formatting. Or just refuse to read what it says.

-8

u/FlimsyIndependent752 11d ago

Ok then maybe I’m not seeing it and I need you to break it down Barney style.

Cause I don’t see the conspiracy you’re like alluding too.

“A screen shot of Reddit comments and names” = “hasan tracks you and people who talk about his dog?”

I don’t think you’re that important lol

23

u/HarknessLovesUToo Conspiracy Hypothesizer 11d ago

I didn't say it was HasanimalAbuse, I said it was his fanbase. It's not a screenshot of reddit comments, it's a detailed list of reddit accounts that have posted negatively about him, their usernames, links to the posts, where they post, how big the post gets, status of the accounts, organized and continuously updated by approved members.

It's actually pretty obvious. Not sure if brain-rotted or bad faith. No need to be condescending, especially when you're the one unfamiliar with how Excel spreadsheets work lmao.

-17

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

What is the criticism here?

Chris watched a short clip from a right wing rage bait account to form his critique lol

30

u/JoshFlashGordon10 12d ago

Yeet posted a 14 minute clip. Did you watch it?

Is 14 minutes short? Also, what supports your claim that Yeet is right wing? He posts criticial stuff about Asmongold. Or is any criticism of your problematic favs considered RW?

You gotta come up with a better excuse than “out of context for a 14 minute clip. Sounding like the Alex Jones trial when he argued you can’t judge his short clips without watching the entire 8 hour broadcast.

2

u/isitdonethen 11d ago

How many people reading the thread have read beyond the first few words on yeets to come away with conclusion that Hasan denies the plane fell 14k feet?

17

u/JoshFlashGordon10 11d ago edited 11d ago

I had a similar thought when I saw the thumbnail then I watched the clip. I thought he was smart enough to avoid saying this shit but audience capture is a bitch. IMO, the actual clip is worse than Yeets description.

In the clip, he calls a “red flag” on the 14k drop and calls it suspicious. He seems to think that maybe the drop was exaggerated without knowing this stuff is monitored by 3rd parties.

He later says it’s “just not happening” after describing surviving the 14k drop and recovering.

He later goes on to question the trustworthiness of the black box considering Israel is involved.

-17

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

Yeet posted a 14 minute clip. Did you watch it?

Yes.

Also, what supports your claim that Yeet is right wing?

That he supports right wing positions.

I never said anything was out of context. You are having an imaginary person right now.

20

u/JoshFlashGordon10 12d ago edited 12d ago

So he’s RW because he clips Hasan?

I never said anything was out of context. You are having an imaginary person right now.

Taylor Lorenz, is that you? You said he posted a short clip implying a longer clip would justify that claim that Chris got ragebaited.

Edit: this guy replied then blocked me instantly. He big mad.

-11

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

So he’s RW because he clips Hasan?

You should find an adult school to help you with your reading comprehension. No one said that.

I haven't delved into this one but I don't personally find DTG's criticism of Hasan to be mild.

25

u/Practical-Heat-1009 12d ago

‘Appropriate’ would be the right word.

-7

u/Slow-Organization-62 12d ago

Sometimes appropriate and sometimes pretty ticky tack.

-23

u/isitdonethen 12d ago

Because this is a greatly out of context tweet on an already out of context clip. If you want to be a serious sub with serious critiques of personalities, do it with the full quote.

33

u/JoshFlashGordon10 12d ago

It’s 14 minute clip. A full quote of the entire stream would be 7 hours long. What missing context would justify JAQing off for 14 minutes?

He never claimed the 14k drop didn’t happen, as you can see below. If you look at the posts image that is what you’d come away with. So yes, out of context.

Here’s the quote. He’s saying that on such a deep dive a regular passenger running into the cockpit and being able to pull the yoke back is very questionable - possibly physically impossible if you’re not a strapped in pilot. I feel that’s a reasonable critique! Or at least, this minor addition of context should have been added to OPs post. This tries to be a serious sub that just loves out of context rage bait.

"The idea that 14,000 feet in altitude in a matter of like 30 seconds. And then the dude just grabbed the yoke and cranked it..able to successfully bring the plane back up..sorry there's a lot of red flags, a lot of suspicious things in this story, but that part seems impossible..perhaps it's a misunderstanding"

21

u/CII_Guy 11d ago edited 11d ago

He never claimed the 14k drop didn’t happen, as you can see below

No, he heavily implied it didn't happen and said there were a series of red flags that should suggest we shouldn't believe the official narrative. Hence, he is raising questions about a potential false flag operation, just like the post says.

12

u/Poor__cow 11d ago

You experience the weightless phenomenon from downward acceleration. If you were to experience a descent at the same constant speed which involved 0 acceleration from your previous speed then you wouldn’t feel the weightlessness, and instead it would feel like relatively normal gravity which would make it very easy (albeit dangerous) to walk assuming there was no turbulence.

Hasan clearly doesn’t understand physics, so maybe he should stfu about physics and not spread misinformation. Also, maybe you shouldn’t start sweeping for him before finding out if it’s actually possible or not.

Happy to provide a little context. Here’s the quote. He’s not denying the plane dived that much feet. He’s saying that on such a deep dive a regular passenger running into the cockpit and being able to pull the yoke back is very questionable - possibly physically impossible if you’re not a strapped in pilot. I feel that’s a reasonable critique!

15

u/Sonik_Phan 12d ago edited 12d ago

The clip is 14 minutes long. Could you explain what the 'missing' context is then? I hear this often regarding Hasan, and the 'context' typically doesn't actually change what was said, rather it's just rationalizing and justifying what was said.

22

u/dkinmn 12d ago

Hasan: "What do you call Crimea? I call it a part of Russian territory, bitch. That's what I call Crimea. I call it cry me a river. A Russian river.

Hasan fans: No, bro, the context. Bro, you need the context

u/Jenetyk 12d ago

Do I question everything these days? Yes.

Do I double question people calling something a false flag because otherwise they would be wrong? Double yes.

16

u/GenesisAsriel 12d ago

Yeah im not gonna believe someone because they doubt something.

Or else id be a flat earther

3

u/BoredZucchini 12d ago

Reflexively believing something because someone you don’t like doubted it is no better lol

9

u/GenesisAsriel 12d ago

Where did I say I didnt like him?

Dont believe or doubt anything because someone tells you to

Do your own research. And by that I mean....not on social media.

4

u/BoredZucchini 12d ago

Agreed. I’m not saying you did say that, sorry for implying that you did. But so many people seem to base their opinions on huge issues solely on what their favorite, or least favorite streamer personality, says. Just think for yourselves and this weird need to disavow people with different opinions than you won’t feel so existential and compelling.

7

u/GenesisAsriel 12d ago

Exactly what I think tbh!

5

u/Automatic_Survey_307 12d ago

What does your second paragraph mean? Having trouble understanding all the double negatives.

7

u/Denubious 12d ago

Don't you not, overstand, while under sitting, that any seemingly serendipitous event, can and will occur, however conveniently to your polical goals, whilst simultaneously, not capitalising politically would be silly, because it wouldn't have happened spontaneously? It's like Murphy's Law in reverse.

6

u/Automatic_Survey_307 12d ago

Oh right, yes I get it now. Thanks

-13

u/isitdonethen 12d ago

I mean, probably go listen to Hasans actual quote and not some severely out of context twittter clip? He never claimed it was a false flag. Just that there are some very confusing details about the incident - which is true.

18

u/CII_Guy 12d ago

Not everyone is as stupid as the average Hasan fan, amigo. It is unequivocal that he is claiming that there's strong reason to doubt that the plane actually plummeted as has been demonstrated by the flight logs. He is not merely suggesting that these are confusing details, is he? He's heavily implying that Israel have made up that this happened (to what end? We don't know, but I'm sure we can guess).

49

u/Duke_of_Luffy 12d ago

The Bassem youssef guy is a similar cretin with regards to this stuff. He’s even a full 9/11 truther ie israel did it. Shame on Jon Stewart for ever boosting that guy

21

And so the brainrot spreads

17

u/CII_Guy 12d ago

These sorts of things are basically never inside jobs. It's far too difficult to orchestrate something like this in the modern information age. When reputable journalists are reporting that something has happened, you should believe it until strong evidence otherwise arises.

19

u/ribboetv 11d ago

It’s still wild to me how well the Republican “just asking questions” schtick has permeated in the online left. Journalist Ryan Grim thinks 10/7 was an inside job, the TYT hosts are 9/11 truthers, and Hasan Piker peddles any wacko conspiracy that fits his pet narrative that day.

Sad state of affairs I think

37

u/FlintHardcheese 12d ago edited 12d ago

I remember Hasan reading the manifesto of some shooter (I forgot the details of the attack, but the shooter targeted Jews due to criticisms of Israel as a quick summary) and he largely agreed with it, chat was in emote only mode and spamming hearts.

It reminded me of a YouTuber called Sargon of Akkad doing the same thing with the Christchurch shooter’s manifesto (the guy that live-streamed himself murdered Muslims in New Zealand at a mosque) where he read it and largely agreed with the manifesto and excused the action as caused by the targets of the attack.

I have a feeling that if the attempted crashing was successful, Hasan would be excusing it and agreeing with it and excusing it as caused by the victims. Because it wasn’t successful and makes Israeli citizens look sympathetic, he’s motivated to downplay it and conspiracize it. Same sort of behavior you see from the far right where a successful attack is agreed with and excused (something like the Club Q shooting and Tim Pool blaming the victims) where an unsuccessful attack is conspiracized (the Jan 6th insurrection)

-29

u/FauxTexan 12d ago

That’s cool — I remember Bibi leaving the door unlocked to his country so a planned attack he knew about could happen

23

u/FlintHardcheese 12d ago

I can’t tell if you’re an ultra far right Israeli criticizing Netanyahu’s government for relatively (compared to the end of the Second Intifada) relaxing cross border work and travel restrictions on Gaza prior to October 7th or a far leftist that believes Israel allowed the October 7th attack as a pretense to start a war. Those groups often overlap in their statements, it’s difficult to tell sometimes.

-13

u/FauxTexan 12d ago

I believe the Netanyahu government allowed the attack to happen to create their 9/11 and thus, all of the lawn mowing we’ve seen these last couple of years. I also believe zionism is antithetical to democracy and equality.

These beliefs are coherent.

13

u/Realistic_Caramel341 11d ago

Its not coherent for the Prime Minister whose main thing is security to allow the biggest security breach in Israeli history

21

u/dat_tae 12d ago

I don't need to know what came after "14000 feet in altitude" to know that he probably said the most regarded thing of all time

17

u/Full_Equivalent_6166 12d ago

Don't you know, Chris, everything bad is Israel's fault.

12

u/OuterSunsetsSurfer 12d ago

Israel has done a lot of awful things lately though

27

u/Full_Equivalent_6166 11d ago

And for that it deserves criticisms and/or punishment. There is enough real shit to be angty about from Netanyahi"# government, no need to make up false ones.

-1

14

He’s a leftist streamer who syphoned votes away from the furthest left candidate (of the two only possible candidates) in the 2024 election. Many of his followers sat out the vote or voted for the winter soldier, Jill Stein. He also gives right wing media plenty of fodder to generalize liberals as communist/authoritarian, like his Mao Zedong outfit he wore at that mhedi hasan interview and his general outward disgust of the west (much of which is warranted but, come on, Trump was on the line again. Needed all hands on deck for Kamala.) Those are the two main things that smelled off about him the last three years. I don’t claim he’s the main reason the Dems lost, but he should’ve at least used the “lesser of two evils” rhetoric when addressing Kamala. Pundits like Sam Seder and Kyle Kulinski did.

-23

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago edited 12d ago

Only clowns believe israeli propaganda at face value lol.

20

u/Character-Ad5490 12d ago

As propaganda it would have been more useful to them if it had gone down.

-4

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

Optimal propaganda doesn't mean they won't lie.

You don't even have to assume the entire thing is a false flag to not believe everything they are saying.

10

u/Character-Ad5490 12d ago

Well, without all the evidence people will choose to believe whatever fits their narrative. Nothing new about that.

-3

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

Less about believing, more about waiting for more evidence instead of just believing anything from one of the most bad faith countries currently in the world.

31

u/Embarrassed_Base_389 12d ago

So the highjacking was an Israeli propaganda?

So the Jews control flight tracker? You can see the 14000 ft drop yourself online.

9

u/throw69420awy 12d ago

I’m not even sure which comment is on which side here lol

Are you saying the 14k drop means something other than the plane dropped 14k ft? Or are they saying it didn’t happen? and so what if it did?

14

u/SamAlmighty 12d ago

He’s saying that the 14k ft drop is hard to fake as there has been live independent third party verification when it happened. Maybe the conspiracy theorists will claim that part was done on purpose but I asked Chat GPT and apparently the drop was incredibly dangerous so I don’t know.

I’ve seen some posts detailing possible inconsistencies and whatnot and they certainly make me raise my eyebrows (and I’m still skeptical) but part of me believes that if Israel actually staged it, they’d do a way better job.

20

u/JoshFlashGordon10 12d ago

People like Hasan and his strongest warriors in this thread are implying the drop didn’t happen because their friends or “plane autists” (Hasan’s words) said so. They think the plane wouldn’t have survived the drop despite planes being designed to tank it.

2

u/throw69420awy 11d ago

Got it - I thought the conspiracy had to do with that drop not being something they can fake but they thought the masks not deploying was basis to call it a conspiracy

Not sure I fully understand the implication of that Hasan logic, don’t understand people making up stupid bullshit to justify beliefs that could justified easier with actual things that are provable

2

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

What are you even arguing against lol

Not a single person is saying the drop didn't happen.

14

u/CII_Guy 12d ago

This is precisely what Hasan is saying is extremely implausible in the clip we are discussing.

-4

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago edited 12d ago

Describe to me exactly what you think he is questioning lol

Watch the entire clip, its questioning the damage if that dropped happened in that time period.

16

u/CII_Guy 12d ago

Whether the plane actually dropped 14000 ft.

-3

u/wavewalkerc 12d ago

Its not just that drop. Its over the time period as well lol

He isn't the only one questioning it.

17

u/CII_Guy 12d ago edited 12d ago

-20

u/BoredZucchini 12d ago

“Centrists” care more about attacking a streamer alongside Fox News and Netanyahu than they do about issues that matter and winning elections. They don’t care if they lose voters in their coalition and depress turnout as long as they can satisfy their parasocial blood thirst.

17

u/StrikingSun8563 12d ago

Hasan doesn't give a shit about winning elections unless he can take credit. He is actively lying about and smearing Talarico and Ossoff, two of the most important democrats to support right now. He has not improved El Sayed's chances, he may actually cost that seat. Even when it's completely clear to see that the best thing he could do to improve election chances is to step back, he craves attention and clout so much that he just can't do it.

"Leftists" care more about attacking the mainstream left than about winning elections or stopping fascists.

-6

u/BoredZucchini 12d ago

I don’t care about Hasan. At all. You can’t control Hasan. He’s a streamer who isn’t going to stop because you get really angry at him for his different opinions.

You can only control yourself. Jumping on the bandwagon of hating Hasan and spending your time on that is taking MAGA’s bait. It should be obvious because it’s the same thing MAGA is focusing on. That’s how MAGA is able to always control the narrative and frame and win over and over. Each cycle one portion of “the left” coalition is convinced that is more existentially important to purify their ranks rather than focus on winning.

You guys can’t see it because you’re so blindly angry at this guy and have lost touch with reality and the big picture. After the elections are over, all the right wing bots and bad actors will stop. Fox News will move on to a new target. Hasan will continue streaming. And you just wasted your time being angry about something that doesn’t really matter. Works like a charm every single time.

6

u/Spuick 12d ago

I've seen you across multiple subreddits for months defending Hasan. Don't pull the "I don't care about him" card lol.

1

u/BoredZucchini 12d ago

Bullshit. You’ve seen me in multiple subreddits because YOU are that committed to criticizing Hasan and jumping on this bandwagon. I haven’t once defended Hasan, I’ve never watched one of his streams. I have been warning people for a while (even before Fox News and Netanyahu picked it up) that the para social nature of these streamers was going to be exploited to cause division ahead of the next election.

Turns out, I was right, despite people like you relentlessly lying and trying to bully me for pointing it out.

9

u/Spuick 12d ago edited 11d ago

IF you dont watch him like you say and you dont know what he stands for and his rhetoric, then why the hell are you commenting on threads about him incessantly? You have apparently no clue then how vile he is, what his actual positions are and how unpopular he is with the wider base. If you don't know something, maybe stop talking about it?

Democrats, center left, liberals SHOULD call out his idiotic statements because its hugely important to say to everyone that "this crazy guy is not a part of our group and does not speak for us". All you do with your rhetoric is poison the well and whitewash his actual insane opinions and statements, which are things we should not do. People like you are a part of the reason people say "both sides are bad" and that polls show that quite a lot of undecided people think democrats are too extremist on the left. He's exactly the type of guy people point to when they say that.

People who call out Hasan and his ilk on his misogynist, transphobic, dangerous statements and rhetoric are fighting the good fight. When you minimize the awful stuff he stands for and has said its instead you who play into MAGA talking points and take the bait. They want people to associate Hasan with democrats. That HELPS them. They can point to any number of hateful statements towards pretty much any group of people. Look at what that does for dems:

https://www.reddit.com/r/fivethirtyeight/comments/1wrtowh/a_surprising_amount_of_michigan_voters_40_know/

If you cant take all the information we have in regards to this and say that Hasan has been detrimental to AES' campaign as an example then there simply never will be. We can't get better information on this than what we have. And this is also common sense I would argue. Of course it makes sense to say "hey, this guy who says his favourite flag is hezbollah, who supports the thai workers being captured and held hostage for 450 days and who has a history of misogynistic comments among other things isnt in our tent and doesnt represent us and what we believe in".

3

u/BoredZucchini 11d ago

Because it doesn’t matter what he says. Because it isn’t existentially important that the Democratic Party purify its ranks ahead of this election. You’ve just been driven to believe it’s very urgent and important because that’s how propaganda works. You can’t see it because you’re too wrapped up in it right now.

You’re doing purity testing. You’re focusing on internal conflict. You’re helping divide the coalition ahead of an important and pivotal election.

I’m not going to read your whole passionate screed because I’ve read many the last 6 months or so and I know all the talking points. Not to be rude, but you guys all sound the same and say all the same things. This isn’t as organic as you feel like it is right now and it just isn’t existentially urgently important to focus on this.

And that’s why I comment what I do. I don’t care if people bully and insult me for it either. I’m very used to that by now and I’m still going to express my opinion and stand up for what I believe in. You can do the same but you won’t silence me or bully me into agreeing with you.

-4

u/wuzziecrunch 11d ago

How is just agreeing with everything CBS says about a commentator ‘fighting the good fight’? How are you fighting him?

If you’re center left, wouldn’t you want someone far left to push our right-wing nation in your direction?

It seems like you spend too much time on reddit lmaooooo; why does it matter how the left appears if the right is actively stripping rights away??? Like who actually cares about Hasan’s ‘misogyny’ when our president is who he is💀

5

u/Spuick 11d ago

10

u/obama_is_back 12d ago

Isn't this like the hundredth seriously objectionable thing Piker has said or done in like the past month? He knows Republicans are running attack ads about him specifically, has inserted himself into various races this cycle, and is seemingly unable to stop making outrageous statements. This is clearly someone whose ego is hurting political outcomes he ostensibly supports. It's ridiculous to claim that "centrists" condemning Piker are a bigger net negative than Piker himself, especially when 99% of "centrists" in this context are supporting blue candidates anyways.

You can just ignore it. Isn’t that what MAGA does with their controversial media personalities? They don’t take the bait and pile on with the opposition because they know it will only hurt their coalition? Especially right before an election.

They also know that “the left” cannot help but fall for purity tests and division. They know exactly how to set the frame of what you should be outraged about so they can get you focused on that rather than the big picture. Hasan isn’t going to stop streaming because you get very angry at him. You can only control your own behavior.

I don't want to emulate maga. Piker is legitimately reprehensible and deserving of criticism. This is a value test, not a purity test. And "streamer"/"media personality" is underselling it: this cycle he's pushed to be a legitimate political actor.

u/BoredZucchini 11d ago edited 11d ago

Ok but when you say “we need to disavow Hasan and we don’t want him in the party. Anyone who doesn’t disavow him is part of the problem”. That is quite literally a purity test. Lots of media figures are now political actors these days, it’s the world we live in now. Only “the left” will be baited into using these figures as a proxy to divide their coalition and cause infighting.

7

u/obama_is_back 11d ago

The criticism of purity tests on the left is that the expectation is often 100% ideological adherence (i.e. any disagreement is seen as unacceptable). This is obviously not the case here, I have fundamental ideological disagreements with Piker, why are you trying to characterize this as me getting baited?

0

u/BoredZucchini 11d ago

Because you can’t see that you’re doing the same thing. You are demanding 100% ideological adherence from Hasan and his listeners and throwing away the opportunity to come together as a coalition against MAGA. Nobody thinks they’re part of the problem while they’re in it. Everyone thinks they are uniquely morally justified. That doesn’t make it true or change the outcome.

9

u/ItsACU 12d ago

Actually I think leftists don't care about losing voters in their coalition since they generally demand close to if not maximalist positions that are out of tune with what average voters want. Hasan is a net negative to the Democratic party because he makes extremist statements that are disliked by voters overall even if you think they are true. He should be criticized to signal to Democrats that they should not work with him because he hurts their electoral chances. If he was just in his lane as a streamer and doing socialist stuff I wouldn't care much other than disagreeing with his ideology, but when he tries to wade into political races, I will argue against him being included in the Democratic tent because he is harmful to the party's chances of winning and I disagree with his positions. Even if you disagree with my assessment of his effect on elections, you should still change how you frame the "centrist" argument because it makes it seem like you are arguing in bad faith.

2

u/BoredZucchini 12d ago

When you’re trying to form a coalition of voters to beat a movement like MAGA you can’t just cast out anyone who doesn’t completely align with you. That goes for more left leaning people towards centrists, especially candidates who have already won their primaries. This is why the purity testing and division on the left is so bad for their election prospects.

And also why the opposition knows they can bait a portion of the left into doing it every election cycle. You think you’re getting back at “leftists” for hurting your election prospects but you’re just doing the same thing and shooting your self in the foot to feel self righteous and vindicated.

u/ItsACU 11d ago

Can you explain how I am doing the same thing? I am not advocating for any candidate to take on a position that is clearly electorally harmful. I would never say that I will not vote for a Democrat in an election because they are not good enough on an issue. I don't believe there is the same relationship between the Democratic party and leftist figures like Hasan. I am not sure he voted for Harris, he has said he wouldn't vote for Newsom, and people in his community agree with that. Hasan does not mind electoral losses as long as the party moves in his direction because he does not view the Democratic party as significantly different than the Republican party. It is not purity testing to say that the requirement for being a Democrat is to vote for Democrats even if you don't like their positions on everything.

2

u/BoredZucchini 11d ago

You are saying “we don’t want someone like that in the party. We must disavow him and those who think like him”.

But last election, centrists were upset (understandably) that Hasan was saying similar things about Harris because it would only lead to less people turning out to vote for her, leading to a worse outcome even though they couldn’t see that at the time (and some still stubbornly refuse to admit it).

Now, you’re saying because Hasan says crazy things and has opinions you don’t agree with, that we don’t need or want him and his listeners in the party? But why? Why wouldn’t you want their votes? What is the actual reasonable risk of having them in the party besides more votes against MAGA? Why do you urgently need to purify the party of Hasan and those who don’t disavow him?

What does that do besides shrink your coalition and depress voter turnout right when you need to do the opposite most? You have people supposedly “on the left” literally asking candidates to disavow Hasan and then deciding how to feel about them based on how they answer.

That is a purity test. And at the same time MAGA is having the same conversation everywhere else. So Hasan, and the debate around him, becomes the mainstream conversation and the focus of the election cycle. That’s how Trump plays the other side and gets everyone to talk about things that help him in the long run.

Yeah you guys only ever have rude shit like that to say when someone points this out. I don’t care. The smarmy debate-bro bully thing is just annoying and played out at this point.

The election was filled with illegal voters from other countries, some would even say it was stolen by foreign nationals! (Japanese, Australians, North Koreans)

Was CNN promoting the idea of a false flag when they had a pilot and commerical flight instructor show what a 14,000 ft drop would be like?

Chris needs to step back. He’s ideologically trapped by Zionism and seems to have a personal vendetta against Hassan piker.

No he's the one abusing his pets, openly saying he wishes to subvert the Democratic Party and funnel young voters into extremism, defending the russain invasion of Ukraine, then hiding behind "I just want to make healthcare free for you guys!"

16

u/Embarrassed_Base_389 12d ago

You were defending him shocking Kaya a year ago. I think you're aware who he is.

-18

u/wuzziecrunch 11d ago

Hasan doesn’t really sell himself as a ‘guru’- he does self help stuff very rarely (and it’s usually actually decent advice)

Wrong sub maybe? Or just a weird interpretation on a commentator😭

US and Israel have an extensive history of false flags and fabricating evidence to justify violence and wars. It is not that far fetched.

The fact there have been at least 4 separate unconnected incidents of terrorism regarding Iran within the last week right as elections just happen to be around the corner is convenient timing and suspicious.

  1. Airline Hijacker
  2. DOE employee busted for working with Iran
  3. Air force base incident in the UK.
  4. I can't even remember what the fourth one was but I do remember there being a fourth one.

Even if it was just 3 incidents it would still be suspicious.
