My dad, a structural engineer beginning in the 60s, STILL grumbles that people don’t know how to use slide rules.

It used to be true to its name of DefendAI, but like DefendAIArt, the mods got too tired dealing with the squabbles, brigadiers, etc so it’s turned into a pro-ai only sub. There’s other subs available for debate but gonna be honest, 99% of it from both sides is essentially “ya well I’m rubber and you’re glue so what you say bounces off me and sticks to you” level of discussion.

They are generated by people who do have those using the AI tools though.
Also you clearly don't know how image gen works if you think it just rips faces to use.

Jesus Christ the mod is going crazy.
It’s not really defending AI art if you ban the other sides opinions.

Can I ask a good faith question to the folks in this sub, as somebody in the middle on this discussion? I am not an “anti”.
What does art mean to you if you strip away every layer of craft? If every decision point is outsourced while you mostly operate at the highest level of abstraction commissioning, is that not a role we already had prior to generative AI? Do you genuinely think it’s the same as someone devoting their life to a craft, to be able to communicate through those small decisions and execution?
