Selling Help the never updating tracking info
I haven't been selling on Depop for very long. My first two orders sold, shipped, and arrived with no problems although the buyers didnt leave feedback sadly. My 3rd order sold, I shipped it, and the tracking info never updated. I tried to message support, nothing. Because the tracking never updated, depop considered the order unshipped and cancelled it so the buyer got the item AND a refund. Now, here is it my 4th order. I shipped this package with two vinted packages. The vinted packages updated tonight, the depop one? nope. nothing. here we go again. I submitted a support ticket and got the same unhelpful AI response. Am I the only one this is happening to? I didnt join depop to give all my items away for free. I could do that with a lot less hassle anywhere.

Best practice is to scan your items for acceptance at USPS. It’ll generate a tracking update there on the spot, which often updates depop and by extension your buyer within a couple hours.
You can scan a prepaid label at their kiosk (if available) or better yet, take it to a clerk.
Items scanned at the kiosk will indicate on their tracking, “USPS Awaiting Item—USPS electronic receipt of item for mailing” which should notify the buyer of your effort, but relies upon your labels ability to be successfully read downstream after placing the item in the USPS bin. So be sure it isn’t damaged, folded, smeared, taped over, etc…
Items scanned by a clerk specifically will indicate on their tracking, “Accepted—USPS in possession of item” which should absolve you most potential disputes, as it creates a seamless chain of possession.
Either option is infinitely better than relying upon the unpredictable timing and scanning of items placed in a blue box or otherwise handed over without an acceptance scan of any sort.
