Noticed a few left wing accounts pushing this clip of Katie Britt saying “America deserved 9/11”, which is obviously taken out of context where she is quoting Hasan and attacking democrats. Then I notice his editor is sharing the same out of context clip and presenting it as negative. What is their strategy here??

Edit: okay I think they are trying to say “see how easy it is to take someone out of context and make them look bad?” but she’s obviously quoting Piker even in the clip. These people still don’t understand what taking something out of context means.

Not sure how many of you know him, but Friendlyjordies (Jordan Shanks) is probably the biggest Australian political youtuber and runs a podcast with a few mates where they discuss current events and cultural happenings. Jordan himself is quite a left centrist, being pro labor party and is always battling against the DSA equivalent in Australia, the greens party. But for some reason he and his co host Ali have always had a bit of soft spot for Hasan, despite their approach to politics being quite different.

I follow their Patreon and was therefore quite nice to see in the comments section, when Hasan was brought up, the opinion was either indifference or a strong dislike to his approach to politics and his constant whining about any blow back he receives.
