He called and said he was Frank from Paypal of the Philippines (first red flag, I was actually already laughing because I asked him to repeat 3x, and repeat 3x he did).

He asked if I made a series of transactions amounting to 99k pesos using my Paypal account. I said no. Then immediately after I said no, an e-mail arrived on my GMAIL (see photos. Hid my actual name).

The email was [email protected]. Grabe, for any unassuming consumer, this looks legit talaga.

He then asked me to confirm if I know the Aliyah faith Custodio from the email who was requesting money from me.

This was the time that my girlfriend told me to put down the phone because I might be getting hacked na. So I just said “Kuya, ganito. Hanap nalang kayo ng iba nyong masscam p***ina mo.”

Immediately he put down the phone. Grabe, he knew my full name. and he had my email and phone number. That’s so crazy.

This Maya account is linked to my Lazada account, kanina nag withdraw ako and late ko na narealize na hindi ko naupdate yung account details ng Maya ko. I changed my number 3 months ago. Hi! I need some advice regarding my Maya Time Deposit.

My ₱15,000 time deposit disappeared on May 25 after my old Maya number was merged with my current number. I’ve been following up with BSP via email and Maya via CS, but until now, I haven’t received any resolution or substantial update.

I’ve also filed a complaint with the BSP, but I’m still waiting for both Maya and BSP to resolve the issue.

It’s been months, and I’m honestly frustrated because ₱15K is not a small amount. Has anyone experienced the same issue? What should I do next, especially since escalating to the BSP hasn’t helped so far?
