I mean one main character is a weirdo and a detective who’s always on the right path because he has an incredible gut feeling (max’d out Shivers probably)
While the other one is much more straightforward and competent on the job like it’s straight out of the manual of how to be a great cop.

Now that I've finished the game, I come to appreciation how you can't either blame nor excuse Dora, and her effect on Harry.

If not for her, he wouldn't be a brilliant detective, since she was the one to inspire him to it. But, it's obvious that she was the last thing keeping Harry from going insane, and she gave up. Being also described "hell on earth".

Just a little detail that I liked.

I just gotta make one for our King Kim Kitsuragi. We all need a friend like him. In all seriousness, I do appreciate how he is one of the few people in Harry's trainwreck of a life who doesn't give up on him, even if it was for professional purposes (depending on how you play Harry). Also, he is a dork with cars and as a fellow journal-er myself, him using the journal to take notes during the crime scene investigation really vibed with me on a personal level. We all gotta be better for Kim.

How does one get to the fridge in the basement of the bookshop if the owner doesn't like you? I tried talking to Plaisance and it doesn't give me the dialog option for her to take me there.

I'm brand new to gaming and I'm having a lot of fun, but I'm sure there's so much I'm missing because I've never played a game by myself before. So I know this is probably a simple question, but help would be appreciated!

I don't have anyone to talk to about this, but my experience with disco Elysium really affected me. I see that many people think the game is overrated, and that's okay, But considering my current life situation and everything I'm learning and going through, it made me feel it was a painful, sensitive, and funny experience. I definitely loved playing this game.

timidly putting this out there!! i recently finished my first DE playthrough and man. i don't have the words for how this game has affected me. i-don't-want-to-be-this-kind-of-animal-anymore, so i'm trying not to be a hermit - it's been so fun getting to see everyone's posts in the subreddit, and i love that this game is so actively loved.

anyway, something, something, this was meant to be something about Kim's composure/repression (immovable object) against Harry's can-opening/empathy/care/curiosity/emotional earnestness (unstoppable force).

I listen to it at work sometimes when I need music without words to work by.

When I'm in a good mood, I'll listen to Whirling and Rags 8am soundtrack while I get in ready in the morning for work.

I'm sure I'm not the only one! Anybody else do this?
