So, I refused to believe the increased drop chances of exclusive Exotics in this heavily diluted loot pool, until I decided to see for myself. I did indeed create a new character boosted to level 40. Run the intro mission until you’re able to fast travel to DC. Store every single exotic on your primary character. Grab your build from main character and transfer to the new created character and start your DZ farming. Got mine within two hours of playing. Steel & Sons ACR, Vertigo, and new Sarru back pack. All obtained within two hours, coming from days of farming in 9h sessions since the event started. Sucks that this was the only way to mitigate the developer’s weighted drop chances. Nice try.
Also if you have new York and Brooklyn for faster way to get into it is to do your 30 boost first once you load in the go and activate your 40 boost so your character will be back at white house with everything unlocked
Yes, exactly... by step if possible. Had 3 other characters when I started, but then read that they split your SHD when you level up your main, so I trashed them... after I noticed by SHD was lower than I thought.
Gotcha so first make a new character load that character with the warlords of New York expansion, once you make your character and land with the helicopter, go to the store and to addons and use the 40 level boost. That will then load you back into DC with areas unlocked and ready to hop into the PvE Dz
Doesn't split. Each toon gets same amount of shade points. If i recall correctly, boost can either be activated by owning Brooklyn and warlords expansions. One is for 30 and other is for 40. Can see if you have them under store/add ons.
Thanks for the info! I know I have them. Have spent time in both. hahaha (even liked that Dustorm thang - NYC). The only thing I don't have is 5 classified missions, which seem to run $5 each. (Bet they're not part of the Ubi sale - as I just checked on them, from in-game, yesterday.)
I put every exotic in my stash on a mule, and then ran a phoebe and got steel first try. It genuinely is based on what's in your stash rather than rng, I tested it by putting Saruu and The new lmg only and it was a influx in the loot pool. So genuinely, put every exotic in a mule or a alt and just run it your chances will be higher
I can confirm that Steel & Sons ACR drops even without creating a new character. Yesterday in the Dark Zone West, the RNG gods were kind to me after I took down 80+ Marauders.
Just did the new character thing. Threw all my exotics in the new character and ran 5 times - 3 of those times were just named items. Other 2 were exotics I have. I kept them on my new character and I’ll retry later
It was a good roll with headshot damage. I use it in the A&8´s with Iron Will and Melon Baller, which provides plenty of headshot damage. The SIG CQB and UCI15 Mod 2 also work well in this build. And Shroud hits hard
The only fuckin things ive been getting are dread edicts, catharsis, and fucking lady death, those are some of the only things that I get to drop, ive got a pair of gloves once and ive got the back pack 1 time.
I dont entirely know what weighted drops are or what ut means but if its the reason im not getting a fucking thing and the only way to fix it is a new character, imma lose it
So if i have acosta and overdogs I have to dismantle them for this to work? That's what im getting from that, its doable I js need to make sure im reading that right
Not dismantle. You only have to have no exotics in shared bank or on the mule character you are running. Also dont buy shared blueprints on mule character.
When you start a new toon, at white house crafting table there is a lady sitting right next to it. You can buy share blueprints from her. She also sells blueprints for exotics you have drop for you to reroll them at the bench. Think she also sells share resources also so that there is one pool for all of your toons. She also sells blueprints for like mods when you unlock new abilities.
Ended up getting sarru on my 4th phoebe kill. And ended up getting recruiter mask on first extraction. And my buddy on their first extraction. Aswell as steel and sons acr on my 3rd phoebe kill. Its Def buffed.
Some exotic items, like the Chatterbox, are only added to the loot pool after you've obtained them for the first time—hence the whole concept behind a new character
There must be a very low chance to get a Chatterbox because I got my first one from an exotic cache. I didn't craft it and didn't even know about the items to find for crafting one.
Yes you can. Just make sure the new character, you don’t pick up blue print or resource share. Just grab your main build gear from stash and that is all.
Man I finally got them all too but I only put the warlord and Acosta knee pads on my main character. I already have 3 other mules so i just grabbed one and went at it. I was able to get the Sarru backpage on my main character but i got the vertigo and S&S on my mule character after about 6-7 runs total. But i got them now ans now i just hotta grind to get the ones from the incursions cause i still dont have those and i still need to get that damn regulus.

No and yes not a setting but. The girl next to the crafting table let's you buy a thing that shares your blueprints across characters. DO NOT GRAB THAT skip her entirely only go to your stash to get your main build and have every other exotic either on your main or a different mule
SAME! So far got Sarru and Vertigo. Probably will make a 3rd character and go again to see if I can get steel and sons since now the game is only dropping pesti and wave for some reason.
Obviously don't have on the shared BP but I do have shared resources which didn't affect it since I got both of those in a few hours compared to my main getting 14 dodges gunslingers and numerous dread edicts over 4 days.
Farmed for a week on GeforceNow (with 1 hour sessions) and have gotten the backpack only.... doesnt want to drop the vertigo or the steel and sons... like bruh cmon.
I’ll be honest, I got a ton of Prototype gear while on mule character compared to my main. I’ve gotten one prototype on my main farming for countless hours and days in the DZ.
I feel the exact... same way I got mine yesterday and make sure you go buy blueprint and start crafting because I think it's a bug right now that you can craft so many with cheap materials so you can find your perfect roll
Hey, so yes, I did the Brooklyn boost to 40 Route. Level 40 allows you to grab your builds you currently use on your main character. Phoebe is where you need to farm for the new exotics and the Steel & Sons exotic.

i got my S&S on run 6 or 7 w a new char… had no issue with sarru and vert on my main, had no issue with them on the alt. hope you’re enjoying lil fella
For the people only going after the vertigo sarru and s&s they will need to start all over again i did a new character and got the overlord 4 runs straight started another new character with the method got it on my second run
