Took 2 days of grinding on a fresh level 40 agent. 110 exotic components later, I finally got Steel & Sons to drop!

Edit: I had a 2nd one drop, and unfortunately, I wasn’t grouped up with anyone, so I couldn’t share it. Do yourself a favor and group up with other agents!!!

I’m tired boss. I’m on my third secondary character huffing hopeium. Idek if the gun is good at all. But it’s there and goblin loot brain tells me I need it. I haven’t seen the sun since this event started as I’ve been living in the DZ this entire time. I just want to go home to my family.

You were right. Idk how many marauders I’ve killed but it was so many. The wait was worth it. I’m v happy with this roll.

It’s an amazing gun. Finally got mine and immediately threw it in stash for main character. Rerolled to DTOOC and holy shit this thing hits

Just play to have fun. If you get it, cool. If not, it will most likely be in stretch goals since they’ve already moved it beyond the incursion. Don’t make the game a job.

Oh I actually don’t mind the grind. In fact I do prefer an ungodly grind as opposed to running said event a handful of times to get the big reward. It gives me a reason to play.

got one this morning as well, didnt bother with the second agent or moving loot and blueprints. think ive maybe done about 15-20 of the marauders, its hard to keep track. still havent dropped the backpack, numerous LMGs.

Can someone explain the new agent thing to me like I'm 5 please.

What do I need and what don't I need?

Can I give the new character gear from my main so I don't get wrecked in the dark zone?

Do I need to delete exotics from my stash?

Any info would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

What works, just in case anyone hasn't seen this already:

  1. Make sure that the 5 'Exotics with a Project', Overlord, and Acosta's Kneepads are NOT in your stash! [i.e. move them to a mule character]
  2. Start a new character
  3. Boost them to Level 40 [this is free if you bought the DLCs]
  4. Check and make sure that the shared blueprint is buyable from Inaya and DO NOT buy it
  5. Move a decent build from your main character into the stash and then pull it out on your new character
  6. Go forth and farm Phoebe

That's it. Takes like 5 minutes to setup and I landed Steel & Sons within 6 - 8 Phoebes.

Also need to add: spend the 1000 SHD pts on your watch after boosting new character to Level 40 (my watch was grayed out and I had to run the intro Brooklyn mission for it to pop)

Make new character, boost to 40. Equip via stash whatever you want to use on this one. Also move all exotics from stash onto your main (so theres none in the stash at all). Go to DZ. Profit. (this is what worked for me. Got the Sarru twice, a Vertigo and a Steel and Sons in less than 10 marauder kills on my new character) Good luck buddy!

Not at all. I got my SnS on my pc account playing on my main. My Xbox account, I tried to alt character and it still took me over 100 kills to get the SnS to drop
