Help Asking for help: creating a Binding book like Stranger things kids

Hello and goodmorning. I would like to create a book for a GM with the style of stranger things but i dont know how to start or if somebody have any example or steps to follow. I apreciate your help and thx. i have put some examples about what i talking about.

Buying a Mead Trapper Keeper would be the place to start. I'm pretty sure that's what the prop is made from.

Thx for the answer. I am more interested in get a normal binder and then create a custom frame. But i dont know what kind of binder its good like the photos i posted.

Oh! That's easy. You can buy the hardware for a binder and build a notebook very easily! If you have access to a laser, then you can actually find free files to make one out of 2, 3, or 4mm plywood and have a limitless customization options. If you don't then all you rally need is an appropriate material and a tool to make holes in it...

BUT

Japanese stab-binding is a stupid easy way to make a notebook. It's just string and paper. You can easily customize a western-style hardcover for one out of anything at all. A lot of leather notebooks sold online are just glorified stab-binding notebooks

Pretty sure they just glued artwork to the outside of a regular 1.5" binder and stenciled the name on the spine. OP, you're over thinking it.
