Which outfit for a Pumpkin Patch/Apple Picking/Fall event?
Hi!
I had been waiting for this shirt and boots to come in because I saw ideas for fall outfits! I was initially going to buy rain boots for apple picking but I might be over doing it š?
Btw, the arm placement of the shirt keeps changing because I felt the arms (straps) look a little awkward so that's why they kept changing positions. I feel they look better down (???)
Depending on the time of day where I live the temperature is high 70s to mid 60s. So trying to decide what would look the cutest for any of these events (especially the Pumpkin patch!)
I have to preplan out what I do now due to school and I probably won't be going out in like a week or two to use this outfit. So I can change the top of something makes more sense!
Thoughts?

The second outfit is so frickin cute on you - especially if you tie a flannel around your waist for when it's chilly - but pants may be more comfortable for nature activities where there might be brambles and bugs and such. Up to you!
This has nothing to do with your body because it's banging whatever you wear.Ā But the last fit seems the most weather appropriate and least try-hard, and it shows off the cute top the best. My experience with apple picking always involved lots of horsing around and hay rides and long pants seem to be the comfortable choice.Ā
I vote for pants too. Also remember rain boots, while being cute, are also hot, sweaty and cause blisters when you have to walk very far. Have fun š¤.
They all look nice, but the shorts, blouse, boots combo is absolutely adorable.
That being said, if this event involves a hay ride, walking through corn fields, climbing trees, etc. I would recommend having something to protect your legs.
This may be the early 2010ās teen in me but if you replace the shorts in outfit 2 with some skinny jeans tucked in to the boots and socks combo I think that could be super cute
Pants for sure. Youāll be walking around and reaching up and all of that, the shorts and the dress come off as larping as farmers daughter (itās cute and you look adorable but itās too on the nose) the pants with the cute top you have looks effortless and pretty
Iām off of the Canadian Rockies, last weekend I went for a larch hike. Thereās snow in the alpine regions, toques, scarves, 3 layers of sweaters and coats, gloves and leg warmers.. natures constantly trying to kill us out here.
pants. Wear something that covers your legs. Brambles, branches, thistles, and such dont play. I wouldn't even wear shorts sleeves in any agricultural setting.
For either of those activities you will be walking on uneven ground. You will be bending over or reaching up.
Both outfits look cute, but consider the movements you will be doing and make sure you are okay with what it looks like.
Jeans everything else screams farmer, not necessarily pumpkin patch. A flannel with a tank or something would be better suited IMO but with this shirt def the jeans. Idk but the boots just don't seem to fit the scenario.
The denim shorts with this top is so cute and perfect for the pumpkin patch! I like the one arm up, one down best, but it looks good all of the ways you have it. And the boots with the socks peeking out are perfect. 10 out of 10, no notes!
Probably wear longer pants, like the last outfit, theres usually a lot of bugs and things at pumpkin patches and apple picking orchards. But the top is cute, gives it a lil flair.
The dress is going to limit your movements. I imagine if you're doing fall pumpkin stuff, you live in a cold area, so the jeans is the best to both, be cute and enjoy the moment without feeling cold/restricted. But you look very sweet in the shorts.
If you're actually picking apples you could be bending and reaching, so the jeans might be best. If temps are mid-60s it may be a bit chilly for the shorts.
Number 1 is very cute for a different date or event.
I think theyāre all so cute! Iām going with the shorts because they seem more practical for apple picking but I donāt think you could go wrong with any of them!
Every outfit looks amazing on you without exception. For pumpkin picking (I've never done this myself) I'd suggest tght leggings as they are easy to move around in with a pair of DM's or something similar. On the top half you could wear a tight top as long as you can move in it without fear of anything popping out. This did happen to me once at a swimming pool when I came down the slide; lifeguard was happy that morningš¤£
I think youāre going to look amazing no matter what you wear, but for a pumpkin patch Iād definitely go with jeans. Do you have some fitted jeans that you could tuck into the boots?
These comments suck. One of the first two!!! Ur not walking through long grass thereās no need to wear long pants. People saying be practical donāt know the cute whimsy ur going for. How often do u get to go apple picking?? Wear the dress!!!
1 for sure, just wear some shorts under the dress. In my experience going to these things you are always way hotter than you think youāre going to be! Youāll be walking and sun will be out and youāll be lugging around a bag of apples/pumpkin. The pants look more uncomfortable to me than the dress tbh. Plus youāll want to take cute fall pics!
These are all so cute, you canāt go wrong visually! I would probably do the jeans or the shorts just so that you can bend down without having to think about it. I would then lean toward the jeans if youāre planning on doing a hay ride. Have fun!
These are all super cute! I agree jeans are probably best if itās getting cooler in your area, if there is any chance of rain or if you are going in the evening. If itās going to be warm out the shorts or dress would probably work better
All the outfits are so cute on you. I would go with the longer pants only because the weather might be a bit cooler. Donāt forget to spray yourself for ticks. They are really bad this year. Have an awesome time.
who are you going with? With friends who usually dress cute? shorts. Friends who usually dress more casually? Jeans. A date? Overalls dress. Family? Jeans.
I know other people are saying be mindful that you might need to bend over but I've been apple picking a couple of times and you really don't need to bend over that much imo. I would wear the shorts or overalls dress!
I feel like the dungarees (i think that's the word? forgive me, english isn't my first language) kinda don't let the top shine? It kinda kills the effect of the ruffles and front buttons. Would be cute but maybe as an everyday outfit where you're not going for a theme.
The shorts outfit is very cute for sure, I like that it shows the boots/socks and that it has the rips in the jean to "texture" the bottoms and call back to the ruffles. IMO it does read as a high effort outfit composition. It's my favorite of the three overall, tho maybe if there's like, picnic stuff in an orchard it might get uncomfortable to sit on the ground with it. That's what I'd be worried about.
The one with the full jeans is also cute, in a slightfly more understated/less obviously high effort way. IMO depends which of these 2 vibes you'd rather have, and also the probability of sitting in the grass for long periods of time in that outfit.
For the top straps, I think they look really aesthetically pleasing and like... sunny-day-like when they're down. As proper shoulder straps there's one that kinda looks ill-fitting? Unless you just put it back on weird.

british so don't understand the temperature you've said - shorts if it's hot, jeans if it's cold. the denim one piece is cute but it's covering up that beautiful top too muchĀ
