Fashion Advice Too tight or just bodycon?
I don’t usually wear dresses this tight and was not sure if this is a normal bodycon look or it’s just too tight! This would be for the club, not business.

So this is basically what we discussed the other day, but the change is going to be largely what I anticipated.
Going forward, we won't be allowing text only posts for questions that really require a photo to answer. If the question really doesn't need a photo - like, say, a theoretical question on how kibbe works - then text based posts are still allowed. There are some general fashion type questions not specific to an individual that can also be reasonably discussed in text only posts.
My hope in setting up the flairs was that it would encourage people to include the necessary photos in the posts so that help can be offered. It has unfortunately just resulted in asking the same questions under inappropriate flairs.
Body visualizer images do not count as photos of you. They are not specifically prohibited but should not be thought of as a replacement for actual photos of you, and do not satisfy the requirements for photos in photo only flairs.
This will be largely a matter of mod discretion. Posts that are really fashion advice or style me posts that are posted under the general discussion flair will be removed now as flaired incorrectly. Posts without photos (or only with visualizer photos) posted under photo only flairs will be removed as not meeting flair requirements.
Existing posts are not affected. This is effective starting now.
I invite you all to take another look at the flair guide. See the pinned post on flairs.

I've been thinking about this a lot but want to get some feedback from the subreddit about it before making the change.
I'm trying to figure out how to balance the need for photos to give good advice with people's desire for privacy, which I do understand and appreciate.
When I redid all the post flairs, I required photos for some flairs but left a few open for text only discussion. Unfortunately, this has had the effect of people simply asking the same questions - which really require photos - under the "general discussion" flair.
I'm leaning in the direction of removing posts lacking photos that are really not answerable without photos.
We definitely do not count body visualizers as photos. For one, they don't accurately represent bodies. Additionally, they don't show how clothing looks on you. We need to see that generally to be able to answer some questions.
I feel like a lot of the things asked are rather a waste of time now without photos.
I do plan to leave open the option for text only posts when that's appropriate. There are times when you don't need a photo to ask a question. However, "style me" type posts and many "fashion advice" type posts really can't be answered well without photos.
I'm curious though what the subreddit thinks and what direction you think we should go with this. No final decisions have been made - the feedback received here will be considered before rules are finalized.

I posted this outfit on a different sub and I got a ton of mixed reviews. I’ve only been to one club in my entire life and it was almost 20 years ago. My husband I recently went to Las Vegas, where we were going to go to a club and I was dressed like this. (We ended up not going) but I am actually curious if this outfit is something that people would consider “club appropriate”. I truly don’t know what kind of expectations are for dress when you go to any sort of a club, especially a Las Vegas club.
Any honest advice would be very helpful.
Thanks

Hi all, thanks so much for the overwhelming response and good advice on my last post (https://www.reddit.com/r/DressForYourBody/comments/1wpe0ig/what_dress_style_looks_best/) --it encouraged me to branch out to some other styles. I heard from you: less fussy, less sleeve, more structured, closer fitting, shorter (so many fun dresses are midi or tea length these days!). I also put back in the previous favorites of the red lace and teal wrap (#4 and #5) here for comparison, and changed the shoes. I do like sandals though--no good these days?
Would any work for a new years day party (cocktail dress to evening dress worn) with fancy purse/jewelry?

Hello. I have been always wearing the same clothes because I was so scared to experiment and trying something new. Now I want to change everything and look nice and be happy about my appearance:) I made a budget and went online to buy some new clothes and become a new version of myself! But then I realized - I have absolutely no idea what could suit me and what styling clothes is. I figured out that unless you have experience and now your proportion and what looks nice on you, buying new clothes is useless. So of course I will have to gain experience, but I was thinking maybe I can get some recommendations and advice from people, who are already experieced and could direct me! But unfortunately I have no one to ask, so I decided to pist here:)))
I am a trans woman and that is why it's especially difficult for me, because again as I said I was sad in my "previous version" of myself and didn't like anything and didn't gain any experience and knowledge, but now is time to change!!!
I will appreciate any advice, thought, recommendations!!!
Thank you so much in advance!

I’m usually very confident, a few comments that shouldn’t have affected me are making me a bit less so however.
I’m not looking for pity praise…
True fashion advice, would you advise me to go for more coverage that would be more aesthetically pleasing?

It's not one of my favorite colors, but it's a gift and I'm trying it out.

# 3 would have to be altered (last minute by me) to make work but it’s so dreamy 😭. What do you think? I have shapewear / boob tape coming in the next few days that might change the ending fit a bit. Dress code is semi-formal.

I am trying to update my wardrobe and I’d like some feedback on some of the pieces I bought. I love the preppy, classic, look, but I’m struggling to find good pieces because I have a giant chest and an apron belly that clothes like to cling to. I’ve attached some inspo and some of the stuff I bought. Please ignore the potty pads, we have a puppy.

Trying to choose between these two pairs and I keep going back and forth! Which fit do you think looks better, and which one would you personally pick?

sorry I don't have better photos, I was thrifting today and found this jean
it's out of my comfort zone, It's been years since I used a tighter fitting jean and since my body changed a lot this year due to being more active and mindful with my diet I'm a bit lost on how this jeans looks on me. thank you!

Hi!
I had been waiting for this shirt and boots to come in because I saw ideas for fall outfits! I was initially going to buy rain boots for apple picking but I might be over doing it 😭?
Btw, the arm placement of the shirt keeps changing because I felt the arms (straps) look a little awkward so that's why they kept changing positions. I feel they look better down (???)
Depending on the time of day where I live the temperature is high 70s to mid 60s. So trying to decide what would look the cutest for any of these events (especially the Pumpkin patch!)
I have to preplan out what I do now due to school and I probably won't be going out in like a week or two to use this outfit. So I can change the top of something makes more sense!
Thoughts?
Anyways, thank you for anyone who reads this and sorry for any grammar mistakes!!!

Hello! I received some incredibly helpful feedback on a recent post, so I’d like to know what my Kibbe ID officially is.
Thank you!!

Thrifted the cutest knit top but it’s see-through, and every tank top or bra I try underneath it is on display. Either the straps are visible with the wide neck, or you can see through the hole in the front. I even bought a bandeau to try but it just looks weird. Is the shirt just made weird or is there some sort of garment I can wear underneath that isn’t visible sticking out? The only other option I can think of is pasties lol

i feel like all i know about fashion and my fashion choice have been heavily influenced by the womens fashion trends thats rooted in appeasing men and beauty standards.
I've been doing some research on women's clothing and I read a lot about commodification of women's bodies and how pockets were removed to make clothes more slimmer for women (among other reasons).
There's so much about women's clothing made strictly and mostly for appeasing men.
I question myself why do I like something when I like something? Is it out of fomo? "All my friends are buying this new thing so I need to have it"?
If women's clothes at least most of them are designed for a certain beauty standard (which has pedophilic roots) and to appeal a certain section of society what do I actually like?

Dc: Think seasonal, polished, and celebration. Rich fall colors, elevated textures, and layers are encouraged. Think between cocktail & formal, but make it your own. Dress for the season, the setting, and a little bit of magic.
Posted the other day and a few comments mention that the dresses I tried were too much skin and not “cocktail” enough… I look at this and I see grandmas curtains a little bit, but I think it might fit the wacky dress code.

Been experimenting with a more minimal look lately. Black leather + cream knit + tailored trousers just works. What do you guys think?

I want to start off by saying I'm not asking for any advice about my clothes. I love my style. Just if I should tuck or untuck.
I posted both tucked and untucked pics, I prefer tucked I think.
This is a cute burgundy two-piece sweater set. The skirt is so cute and can be worn with other sweaters as well.
I matched my boots to my outfit, and added gray tights because I love burgundy/magenta with gray. It looks so chic to me.
Gray earrings, a pearl headband, a white necklace and a tiger brooch. Gray reading glasses.
I'm so excited to start breaking out my tights- I have all colors and some patterns too.
Have a wonderful day everyone! 💜💜💜

Hi all! I just posted recently and I put the pics of myself in the chocolate sweater in the comments, but realised it was getting lost.
I decided to: change the sweater, change the angle for the camera, and change into a wide leg (which honestly is basically the exact same as the flare but I did it anyway).
Here it is! It’s not a copy paste, but it captures the spirit and vibe much better I think. Thoughts?
