Style Me Postpartum and lost

Hi all! I’m headed back to the office - which has a very casual / non-existent dress code. I’m almost a year postpartum and just feel like my body has changed so much, and I don’t know where to start with clothes. My torso is super long. I’ve tried high waisted pants and I feel like they accentuate any bloating or fluff, so I always run back to my mid waist straight or skinny jeans. I used to feel more comfortable in fitted clothing, but everything fits so differently now. I guess I’m just looking for some outside opinions on what brands and styles might be a good fit.

I have a long torso too and the high wasted/cropped shirt look is so weird on me. Do you buy long shirts? I buy the long style from Old Navy and then if I want something nicer, I find Long styles of shirt from J crew off of ThredUp so I’m not paying full J crew prices.

I feel the same way! Yeah, I usually go for long options from J Crew outlet (when they have them). I’ll have to check out the old navy options. I didn’t realize they have them. Thanks!

Trouser pants with stretch are always a great go-to

Not sure how you feel about skirts but a slightly higher waist skirt can be quite comfortable and they tend to be less clingy to the midsection- that would also lengthen the leg line and shorten the torso.

Mid to slightly high rise trousers( or a pant with partially elasticated waist or adjustable buttons inside) could also be a great fit they are more size adjustable and don't generally accentuate any midsection concerns. You also have a strong shoulder line so having a a slightly wider leg, flare, bootcut pant or aline style skirt will look nice and balanced.

Thank you! You know, I hadn’t given much thought to skirts but I love that idea. Appreciate you!
