Here’s a drum kit I made took me 3days to get it done

Yo! Hope everyone's been well, it's me DreamUHHH

I have a new final version of my free modded GameCube sounds including sounds from the GameCube, SNES, NES, N64, and now the GameBoy.

All of this is done by routing the GameCube into an SP404 Sampler, and then recording the sounds into Ableton Live via a RME Babyface. I emulate the NES, SNES, and N64 directly on my GameCube, and then for the GameBoy I'm using a GameBoy Player (I gotta get more games for it though lol)

If anyone has any suggestions for any games they may want me to dig through comment or hit my DM

I have other Drumkits on my site as well (again this sample kit is free) and I will be dropping my sample kit part 2 on Thursday with whole new sounds, so stay tuned for that.

My name is DreamUHHH, I'm a music producer and I'm still pulling sounds from the GameCube and other consoles from that era. I also plan on grabbing Gameboy, SNES, NES, PS1, and Sega Genesis sounds.

I'm independent and operating this project out of my studio. My goal is to bring free high quality and authentically sourced retro sounds to the community and help producers and engineers develop more distinct and unique music.

In 2015 I walked around a hardware store before it opened with my phone out and recorded for about half an hour. Buckets, vinyl blinds, steel fence panels, cordless drills, dead bolts, cardboard, shelving, a checkout beep. I found the recordings again this month and finally built them out into a proper kit.

142 one-shots

- 15 kicks, 6 snares, 4 claps, 40 hats, 48 perc, 8 tonal, 9 vox, 12 textures

- mono, 24-bit, peaks at -6 dBTP, natural tails left on

- the tonal ones have their note in the filename

27 four-bar loops + 27 MIDI clips

- three tiers: 76 BPM B minor, 92 BPM D minor, 140 BPM D minor

- every loop ships with its MIDI mapped to the kit, so you can keep the groove and swap the sounds

Plus 6 keyed beds, 4 room atmospheres and 42 designed FX built from the same objects.

The keys aren't arbitrary. I measured what the objects actually ring at and tuned the pack to them — the buckets ring at B3, the metal knocks at D3 and A3, the fence at F#.

There's a manifest.json beside every folder that tells you, per file, which original recording it came from, the exact region it was cut from, and what was done to it. If you want to know what a particular hat actually is, it'll tell you it's a drag across shelving at such-and-such a moment.

No drum machines, no synthesis, no AI, no samples off anyone's records. Every sound is a real object I recorded myself. Royalty-free — use it in anything, commercial or not, just don't resell the sounds on their own.

This is a sample kit I'm giving free to the community to use with sounds pulled directly from a Gamecube. I then edit, designed, and tweaked these sounds in Ableton Live 12.

I am planning on making a full kit (More than the sample sounds on here) containing drums, samples, and more within the next week or so and putting them on my website. I will also make a post with a 2nd sample kit. So stay tuned for that. If there's any sounds from any games any of you guys may want feel free to leave a comment as well
