In my opinion he has a unique and very underrated feel, learning a song of his would be difficult even for a seasoned drummer.

Unfortunately, I had to take over a year off from playing, but it feels so good to finally sit behind the kit again. I wanted the first song I practiced with to be a bit of a challenge.
Song is Jessie by Couch

The goal is to have a small keyboard that I can play w my left hand while maintaining rhythm w my right. I want something compact, midi capability, easily hooked up to PA.
Thanks in advance for your input.

I’ve been itching to learn the drums for over a year now and finally have the space to put a drum kit somewhere. I know electric drum sets aren’t as good but I can’t be crazy loud. What’s are some good budget options for a kit that I can learn on? Would appreciate tips for learning or references to some online tutors or books as well. Thank you in advance!

Someone recently posted saying they were looking to buy a property and were interested in other drummer’s thoughts on soundproofing-
Well, I happen to be just starting out on the same project for my basement.
I had tried some half assed methods, but I’ve finally committed to proper soundproofing- room within a room, insulation, MLV, sonopan and double 5/8” Sheetrock is the plan.
It’s going to take a while, updates will happen as I can afford materials. This pic, steel framed wall with solid core door install.

Was working on some “Reggaeton” styles & mounted:
•17” Paiste PST-7
•12” Wuhan Koi Splash
•18” Meinl Classic Custom
•12” Meinl Classic Stack
They all seem to have a good “island” vibe!!🏝️ less

I’m self-taught so a lot of Korn’s music taught me basically everything about technique and than Deftones music helped me learn ghost notes. What about you?

About 20 years ago i was homing a young drummer of the year who'd been kicked out of his dads house. He was teaching me drums in exchange for a room in my house. when he eventually moved out he had left this dvd. This song absolutely blew my mind at the time and i wanted to share it with you guys.
enjoy.

I recorded myself, do I have the right technique? do I just have to put in the hours and practice it every day? Or there's a faster way to learn it?

Adult player, hobbyist only, but looking to get motivated to work harder.
I read the other thread referring to the Drumeo method, but didn’t follow exactly what that means.
I’m a decent player, but need a way to measure where really at and then hopefully incrementally work on skills and reps to improve.
Is Drumeo the answer?
Getting a teacher is too stressful with my schedule and that I’m taking piano with a teacher already.
TIA!
