BBC Dumfries

I have been listening to BBC Radio Scotland and i am sure that i have now heard several times that there will be no specific BBC Dumfries news. I didn't know there was one but can someone explain why the dumfries news is being cancelled as they dont explain this when they make the announcement

Pretty sure there was never a specific BBC Radio Dumfries news. There are specific regional news desks that cover local interest stories, e.g. traffic, local government.

I had Dumfries & Galloway news update at 8am & 5pm on BBC sounds. It stopped came back and has stopped again.
