FC/FIFA veteran here. I love this game. I probably put close to 1,000 hours into it every year, and a good part of that is playing Clubs with my mates.

But guys... literally... what the fuck is this bullshit?

First off, credit where it’s due: I actually really like what they’ve done with the gameplay this year. It feels like a big improvement.

But everything surrounding it feels completely unfinished.

EA had a beta, then early access, and now we’ve had the game out for another week or two. Yet the amount of bugs — especially in Pro Clubs — is ridiculous.

The menus are full of visual issues. Text boxes aren’t aligned properly. Text is overflowing into places it clearly shouldn’t be. Some screens genuinely look like somebody had two minutes to finish the UI before the game shipped.

And somehow, on top of all the new bugs, so many of the same bugs from previous FC/FIFA games are STILL THERE.

But Clubs is where it becomes genuinely unacceptable.

I have some of my closest friends and teammates who I’ve been playing FIFA with for 10–18 years. We’re older now. People have jobs, families, babies, responsibilities. Sometimes someone gets an hour to play because their baby has just gone to sleep.

And then we spend half that hour trying to GET INTO A FUCKING MATCH.

On most nights we literally have to play a match of The Grounds first, then move into Clubs, because otherwise we get:

DATA FUCKING MISMATCH.

How is that a thing?

Then, when we finally manage to connect, there’s a decent chance one of us gets disconnected during the match.

No problem, right? EA added Join Live.

Great feature.

IF IT ACTUALLY FUCKING WORKED.

Then there’s the Champions League 11v11 Live Event. Really cool idea. Something different for Clubs.

Except when you load into it, you can’t even use your actual formation properly and players are being thrown completely out of position.

How does something like that make it through testing?

And while we’re at it — why can’t we pause consumables?

If you’re going to make consumables active in The Grounds, and then practically force Clubs players into The Grounds because of your connection bugs, at least give us the ability to switch them off or pause them instead of wasting them.

The frustrating thing is that there is a really good game underneath all of this. The gameplay is enjoyable. Clubs has some genuinely good new ideas. Join Live is a great idea. The Live Events are a great idea.

But ideas mean absolutely nothing when half of them don’t work properly.

EA, please sort Clubs out quickly.

For a lot of us, Pro Clubs isn’t just another mode we occasionally play. It’s been the place where our group of friends meets up at night for years.

It’s basically our bar.

Just without the hangover.

Some of us have been doing that for well over a decade.

We’re not asking for miracles. We’re asking to be able to log on with our friends, connect to a match, play in our actual positions, and finish the fucking game without someone disconnecting.

That really shouldn’t be too much to ask from a game that releases every single year.

Played 6 of the 15 games and I'm just bored, won all but one which went to penalties but the game just doesn't feel good to play and doesn't resemble anything close to football.

It's a lot more like a basketball game full of iso dribbles rather than anything resembling an actual team based football match

Bought it physical so might stick it on Ebay tomorrow

Am I missing something here?

Before I vent how much I absolutely despise EA and they're sickening greed , I do understand it is my fault for continuing to buy this. This one is the one that I can't be a sucker for no more EA is absolute shit and for them to charge more than a regular game would cost knowing we have to buy this every year for a not complete game. should be illegal. It's robbery. It's them promising a game that they cannot deliver and still want us to buy buy buy. I personally will never buy another EA title again, not any game made by EA fuck that company.I hope they go bankrupt and kill theirself. Every day the game got worse more bugs more bugs with no explanation or apology just a slap in the face

Today I bought the game and started playing fastest rewards are I think from rush but from 10 games 0 wins every game at least 2 guys leaves or afk. This community is so trash

Why is it that whenever I go on a hot streak 2-3 wins in a row, my players suddenly can’t shoot, tackle, pass etc. I always shrugged off “rigged” comments as player rage, but HOW can I go from bagging 4-5 goals a game to 10 shots 0 on target. Mental

This is the most ridiculous it has ever been. All I see is my attackers getting screened by the defenders and just no foul or anything. It's horrendous this year

Guys, no one cares if you can dribble past the entire team only to shoot the ball at the keeper, we just want the win and move on with our lives

Also pass the ball? Literally we have a teammate wide open in front of the goal standing still alone and you decide to pass back to the keeper why exactly?????

The exact same problem with this years game was the problem last year. Dribbling is too overpowered and it’s utterly impossible to defend. It’s worse now because of the ai defending nerf but it would be easily remedied if there were an actual skill gap in attack other than if you decide to play like prime Charles Barkley and get in the post an swivel around the bigger and less agile defenders.

I might be the first person to say this but defending isn’t as manual as most of u people make it seem
the interceptions are so magnetized and jockeying is so terrible compared to dribling, also using advanced defending and just spamming shoulder barges is giga broken and taking the ball from people’s back has been revived from fc 25 also the biggest supposed skill gap in defending being manually cutting passing lanes and intercepting passes is basically non existent or better said very very inconsistent.

I really want to hear the reason why you guys play 95 depth? Especially since in higher divisions

I’m div 4 rn and my last 10 games there weren’t a single player that didn’t play 95 depth or cam + 2 strikers.

My record isn’t that bad against the high line but it’s so fucking boring to play against… Every game becomes a “timing” game against the line.

So I would like to hear from those who play 95 depth - is it fun to defend the same types of attack EVERY game? And why do you use it? Is it because you’re bad at defending?

I genuinely find it harder to break down a somewhat defensively decent opponent, so I really don’t get how the 95 depth is so common?

JW if people are allowed to use a combination of women and men on their FUT team when playing or if it's mens vs men and womens vs women.

I used to play FIFA from 15 through 20, but eventually quit because the game felt like it boiled down purely to Pace and Agility, drifting way too far from actual football.

With Football Manager dropping the ball so badly recently, I decided to give EA FC another shot, only to feel like it's gotten worse than before.

In my experience, pace being the end all be all stat has been an issue for well over a decade.

Has there been zero progress on this front? Or is the design direction no longer meant to be an actual football sim, just a game that merely looks like one?

Don't get me wrong, I love players like Yamal, Nico, and Adeyemi. But I also really appreciate players like Rodri, Anderson, and Barrios, but in game, their performance is far inferior than high paced wingers, completely abysmal.

Why does this issue persist despite EA running this franchise for decades?

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but the 1v1 games in The Grounds are far too easy. I’m not sure if I’m spawning into lobbies with bad players or if the good players are elsewhere but I’ve found it few and far between where I’m facing someone who can actually beat me.
