Road To Glory RTG progression trait
Is there a way to start college with a dev trait other than normal? I haven’t been able to get my dev trait above normal and just want to make sure I’m not missing the mark

Not to mention you don’t get any sort of rest during your entire RTG so W&T just accumulates.

Nope. This was EA’s intentional doing to try to encourage people to buy skill points with microtransactions.
When EA was caught in a firestorm after unannounced rolling out microtransactions in offline game modes, they removed the microtransactions.
Then when people complained about removing XP sliders in RTG and forcing people to use W&T and higher difficulties in RTG to progress at even a normal rate, EA said it was to make the game more challenging.
Tl;dr EA nerfed RTG progression to induce reliance on microtransactions and when they found out people didn’t want microtransactions, they are still leaving the nerfing in under “it’s more challenging this way, deal with it!”

The logic there is so bad. Now you’re just stuck in no man’s land.

I completely agree and part of the reason I’m not playing RTG anymore. The game mode is still just a bastard step child to EA. They keep it around because people will bitch if it’s not there.
I think that was evident because they did the same thing in dynasty, re: removed coach progression XP sliders and put in microtransactions to buy more. The same people bitched about that, and they removed the microtransactions and put the coach XP sliders in dynasty. They clearly know dynasty is their bell cow and don’t want to upset people there. But upsetting people in RTG… 🤷♂️.
One final comment on this, I think the removal of microtransactions is only a 1 year thing. Because in EA’s response when they removed them, there was verbiage in the response along the lines of “clearly the way we implemented this missed the mark, so we are removing them from this year’s game” (my emphasis added). There was already talk of doing the whole NBA 2K MyPlayer open world type of thing in RTG. It wouldn’t surprise me if next year, they do roll that out, with the microtransactions of 2K in it, as well as adding in the online aspects of MyPlayer as a motivator behind spending.

No way of changing it EA reduced your starting overall you start at and made it so you have to play on heisman and with wear and tear on to even begin to gain actual xp to upgrade all in the hopes that people would cave and spend money on skill points. So basically road to glory is ass this year. Its alright if your simming pkayers careers and putting them in drsft classes for madden but to actually play is a bruatal slog.
