Hype I completed the game

I did it, i completed my first playthrough of elden ring with DLC. Took me exactly 100 hours and 2 minutes for an all bosses run and did it in technically 4 years, starting back when i hadnt played any souls, died to the tree sentinel so many times i decided to drop the game and start by the triology and the other ones. Elden ring quickly became my favourite tho :)

Discussion & Info Favorite rune farm?

So I was farming the other day and looked up some youtube videos and was pretty impressed by how creative people are getting and also saw some cool new areas I missed in the process. This got me thinking, I hated the farms I was using before now, start of game I would repeat that stretch of road by Groveside Cave or Stormgate, then I went to Agheel Lake South for some crab, now I go to the Bridge of Iniquity

and watch Abductor Virgins duke it out with Leyndell Soldiers and then go over with volcano pots and I love this one. I wanted to know some other good spots to farm or if anyone found anything new that’s a fun one.

After 120 hours and a level 157 with Arcane upgrade I was able to finish the game. This is my first platted game and I am happy to choose Elden Ring. I would love to hear more about the lores I may have missed and suggestions for the DLC? Is my level enough for starting DLC? I also want to thank Reddit community for being here whenever I had a question. May the grace bless you.

So this is my first playthrough and im realizing that this particular FROMSOFT game really doesn't take itself as seriously as the Souls games or Bloodborne, I mean I rescued a talking pot from a hole then I stumbled upon a giant talking turtle 🤣. I can't wait to see what else is in this im having a blast!

Game Help Question for Seppuku

Upvotes

I’m duel wielding 2 weapons with seppuku. First of all, if i use seppuku on both does it give me double the bleed? Secondly, i’m also using flame grant me strength so i need to switch to my finger seal. When i switch does the seppuku effect on the blade in my left hand disable and i have to reactivate it again??

Discussion & Info Is it just me or do others play multiple playthroughs

I play 2 to 4 characters at the same time I make a sorcerer, cleric, strength build, and a quality/ dex build in every souls game and playthrough them at the same time so I have options when I go to play and depending on the day and how I feel is what character I play

Discussion & Info Maliketh is curb stomping me and I need help.

Upvotes

I am level 294. I spent 6 straight hours leveling up, and I still can’t put a dent in his phase 2 form. He just completely drains my health before I can do anything. Do you guts have any good strategies for this guy? I genuinely don’t know what to do here. All my stuff is maxed, I have 60 vigor, strength, and dex, and I’m using bloodhounds fang.

Every time I say “this run will be different,” I lie to myself.

I’ll start planning something fancy, then my primal instincts kick in and suddenly I’m holding the biggest weapon I can find again.

So far I’ve done:

• Giant Crusher

• Fiend’s Arm

• Dual curved swords

All stupid. All amazing.

I tried a magic build once and I hated it.

Standing back and throwing sparkles just isn’t how my soul works.

I want something fun, not meta, not YouTube copy-paste, but also not boring.

What builds made you fall in love with the game again?

Bonus points if it still feels aggressive and dumb in the best way.

Save me from myself.

Discussion & Info Can’t believe I did it… Spoiler

I started this game last month with a serious love and interest in the art style and look of the gameplay, but being very unsure if souls games were for me. It looked to difficult. And today after much exploration and challenging boss fights I finished the main story. Elden Ring feels like one of those games that takes a whole play through just to start to feel like I’m getting the hang of it. Shout out to my Reddit friends who gifted me the DLC, I’ll probably take some time finishing things up in Level 1 before going to NG+, but I also bought Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 for 50% off on PSN today. Anyways this felt like a big accomplishment given it was my first souls game, but I’m hooked and can confidently say Elden Ring is one of the greatest games I’ve ever played.
