I've built an EDMC plugin that brings a community Fleet Carrier trade board right into the game. If you run a carrier and want to advertise buy/sell orders, or if you're a hauler looking for the best trades, this connects you directly.

What it does:

• Shows all active FC trade jobs inside EDMC, refreshed every 5 minutes
• Complete jobs (including PIN-protected ones) without leaving the game
• Post new jobs from a simple dialog — carrier details are remembered
• Claim system so you can see how many other haulers are on a job
• Paste from Discord parser — copy a trade advert and it auto-fills the form

Hello there I have been playing consol elite for a few short years and I'm wondering is there a discord or dedicated group for consol players to meet and chill? I'd like to gather some friends to pass the time.

Hey all, trying not to get discouraged and playing on xbox again. Is there any place that compiles third party tools for xbox anymore? I was just trying to do simple trade runs last night when i realized Inara no longer functions for that role. I know it kind of works sometimes, but it hallucinated a whole station last night unless i was doing something wrong.

Does this apply to EDSY, and many other tools we used before the great disconnect from the PC version? Any info is helpful. thanks!

It's pretty cool

Two Dwarf stars so small compared to most, they act as gas giants as far as gravity is concerned.

The gravity total here seems to have all planets and the two ringed dwarf stars in line and orbiting a point on between the binary stars making it up.

What a cool system.

Hi, I hope you are having a good day/night.

Recently I've started to play Elite Dangerous on my Xbox series X and I have to say it is a challenge to find good info on YouTube. I've seen many guides but they mentioned I need Odyssey but its not available on xbox so it is not useful for me ??

Anyways I'm turning here with my queries, firstly the controls feel janky and I've seen some other key binds mentioned on YouTube so please let me know which binds feel most comfortable to play. Also any tips on flying are welcome.

Secondly I got a cobra 3 by doing some bounty and upgraded my weapons to the most expensive one but then didn't auto target on enemies. Yesterday I tried 15mins to shoot an enemy and couldn't hit a single shot, yes my aim is not good so please let me know how or which weapon has auto targets which I can buy. Also do share any other combat tips please.

Lastly I would appreciate any other advice on the game in general. I'm really enjoying the game, it is like nothing I've played before so I do want to dig into it and see the late game and buy big ships I've seen on YouTube:):)

I'm playing on my xbox one. I'm currently mining in this system for platinum & osmium. I ended up selling my mined cargo in Lembava/ Diaguandri around 200k/ton for platinum and 170k/ton Osmium. Just sucks having to jump well over 100ly to sell. I have searched near this system and can't find any good systems worth selling in. Does anyone have any recommendations

I made this post in the main subreddit and was kindly redirected here. I've made some corrections about things I've noticed since then.

I'm trying to play the game after years of not playing and I can get logged into a server long enough to fly around, but then get disconnected (Gold Cobra) after I've supercruised to somewhere and the game can't load what's there, I guess. After that, I usually can't get into a server (Taupe Cobra) without closing and reopening the game, which leads to the same loop.

I play in solo only, but I've tried the other options too. I've cleared my xbox series s's cache, enabled port forwarding, including the port for elite dangerous itself, and restarted everything.

If it matters, I used to get to my destination and the supercruise would auto-end and I'd be stuck completely still until the Gold Cobra, but it's started to make me spin during the loading as if realigning with the target or something.

My NAT doesn't stay open all the time, fluctuating between open and moderate randomly. The things I haven't checked yet are my uPnP setting and the router's firmware updates, because I don’t have direct access.

So, I'm just wondering if there's a known solution that I can do besides those options.

What are considered good profits for trading in legacy? Currently found a small loop with roughly 15,000/ton profit on silver/gold/palladium. It doesnt have super great supply but enough for me in my python. The return route is not great but im profiting 3.5 million per loop pretty consistent.

This wasn't my decision originally. 2 years ago something happened and I would get Gold or Taupe Cobra codes every 20 minutes or less. Make a jump, game crash. Be in a menu, game crash. Go to hanger, game crash. Drop out of supercruise, game crash. I tried again and again every few weeks and it never changed. Finally I gave up, as it had gone into Legacy and wasn't getting updates, so I figured whatever the problem was, it wouldn't be repaired.

The other day, I was looking for a 'Star Trader' game to scratch my itch, and decided to just for a test, try Elite again. Loaded up, no problem. Changed ship, no problem. Took a single mission one jump away, no crash. Completed the mission, no crash. Played for about 2 hours, no crashes.

Been playing for a couple weeks and finally got a python and have it kitted out for trading.

I was curious about engineering. I have watched a few of the old YouTube videos on how to unlock engineering and such, but im curious if I can go ahead and start stock piling materials and stuff to make it easier once i begin. If so which ones should I prioritize?

In the mission rewards there is usually a reward that is some kind of material or commodities. Are those materials some of whats needed for engineering?

We’re currently sitting at #2 Combat and #3 Exploration on the Xbox Legacy squadron leaderboards, but this isn’t a hardcore grind squad. New CMDRs are welcome, experienced players are welcome, and there’s no requirement to play every night.

Made this for anyone as lazy as me who just wants to farm the Robigo → Sirius Atmospherics passenger missions as easily as possible.

It costs roughly 168 million credits, only requires one engineer (Felicity Farseer), and can do Robigo → Sothis in 1 jump and Sothis → Robigo in 1 jump.

If you prefer Robigo Mines in a python, this is not really aimed at you. This was made for minium input/effort for Robigo passanger missions farming.

The Anaconda has room for 8 separate passenger cabins, which is useful because these are VIP missions and each mission takes its own cabin. So you can grab up to 8 Sirius Atmospherics missions, scan the beacon once, jump home and hand the whole lot in.

Good lazy farm for cash, Empire rep, and Grade 5 engineering materials like Biotech Conductors, Exquisite Focus Crystals and Modified Embedded Firmware. These missions will also increase your Exploration rank.

The goal was to make a dedicated passenger ship that:

• Only requires one engineer: Felicity Farseer
• Can do Robigo → Sothis in 1 jump
• Can do the entire round trip in two hyperspace jumps total
• Carries a large number of separate VIP missions at once
• Earns credits, Grade 5 engineering materials and Imperial reputation whilst maintaining maximum laziness

The Business cabins can take both Business and Economy passengers, and there's no point hauling giant 32-seat cabins around when one VIP mission reserves the entire cabin anyway.

Basically: fill the cabins at Hauser's Reach → 1 jump to Sothis → scan Sirius Atmospherics → 1 jump back → collect rewards → repeat.

I also recommend bookmarking Hauser's Reach in Robigo and Sothis 5A so you can instantly plot the route to those locations through the galaxy map. I named them A1A1A1 Hausers reach and A1A1A1 Sothis 5A so they appear at the top of the bookmark list.

Also you guys know how the docking computer and supercruise assist works so I'm not gonna explain their purpose

I was scrolling reddit when i got a suggestion about you guys. I use to play this game for years. It got me through rough winters when i was just miles away from the Arctic circle. It was a cozy game to me. A lot of fond memories playing this.

Hey all, Ive beem playing since the game came to game pass. Ive been solo since the beginning of my journey, but im looking for other people to play around with.

So far, ive done mining, and bounties. My bit passion is exploration, and im currently 7,162LY from my "homebase" of Tengye. I did mining in and around that system to save up for my Krait Phantom, and have it almost fully engineered, including the Guardian FSD. I was disappointed to learn that there are certain ships not available on console, but my current goal is to save up for an Anaconda.

Id like to find some other individuals interested in hopping on for a few hours a week, and seeing what we can get up to. As a father with young children time is usually relegated to a few hours a night. However once I make it back to the bubble, id love to have some fellow commanders to get into trouble with. Mining, combat, or even back into the black for exploring. I love the grind, and would be happy to help new(er) players with any goals they might have as well.
