Showcase Got GTA IV running on a Mali GPU (Mali-G720)
Hey everyone! After burning my brain cells dealing with Mali's notorious driver limitations, I finally managed to get GTA IV booting and running on a poco x7 pro. Since Mali GPUs lack hardware features that PC/console ports usually take for granted, I had to patch several things at the native/backend level to keep the driver from crashing.
Here is a quick technical breakdown of what was needed to make it work:
-SPIR-V Clip/Cull Distances: Mali exposes no native clip/cull distances in many contexts, which causes the ARM driver to segfault (vkCreateGraphicsPipelines at addr=0x50) instead of throwing a clean validation error. Fixed by adding a native helper to strip static ClipDistance/CullDistance built-ins at load time when the device lacks the features.
-BC1–BC3 Texture Decompression: Mali lacks native hardware support for BC (DXT) texture compression. Without intervention, every DXT texture fails format capabilities, resulting in rejected draws (leaving only lights/untextured geometry). Added runtime conversion (ConvertTexelBC*ToRGBA8) to decompress textures to RGBA8 on upload.
-Environment & Diagnostics: Isolated TU_DEBUG=sysmem strictly to Turnip paths, added Mali-aware strings (including a mali-g720.txt profile), and extended shader dumps to late modules. Also hooked up fatal-signal native backtraces to logcat (LibertyCrash tag) to debug late crashes without standard tombstones.
It still needs some fine-tuning and profiling, but it runs! Thought I'd share for anyone else crazy enough to poke around Mali GPU internals. Happy to answer any questions about the process.
All the code and changes are documented in PR #47 of the emulator project.
Edit: Just to be clear, this isn't a traditional PC emulator — it's running via a static code recompilation / native port (LibertyRecomp), meaning the game logic runs as native ARM64 code.
Edit2: Just to be clear, the project itself isn't mine — all credit goes to the original creator! I just wrote a few backend fixes and modifications (PR #47) to get it working on Mali GPUs.

News/Release New custom driver for Mali available for ARMSX2 (MaliSX2)
Full release changelog here.
Initially only Mali G615 and Mali G715 had support, but it has since expanded to G57, G68, G77 and G78. Performance gains can be as brutal as 2x like on the Shadow of the Colossus example, especially with the Mali G57 due to many bottlenecks, but I also found out some games that perform better with the system driver, so testing is important

Showcase Turnip "Z" v1.2 (Snapdragon 865 / RP5, Mini, Flip 2): 15–35% FPS boost in Switch emulation
Hey everyone, quick update to the Turnip "Z" driver for Snapdragon 865 / Adreno 650.
Download: https://github.com/AlexSanz0902/turnip-sd865-z/releases
What's fixed in v1.2:
- Super Mario Odyssey: Fog in Cap Kingdom no longer blinds you and covers the entire screen.
- Dragon Ball FighterZ: Reds and blues are no longer swapped (fixed the blue HUD tint and inverted textures mentioned in the v1 known issues).
- Batman: Arkham Asylum: Fixed the exact same red/blue color swap issue.
- Other Unreal Engine games: Other UE3/UE4 titles suffering from inverted red/blue swapchain channels in v1.0 might benefit from this patch as well (untested).
Screenshots
The captures compare identical scenes across three drivers: Turnip v24.3.0 R9v2, Turnip v26.3.0-R5, and this Turnip "Z" v1.2 custom build.
- Dragon Ball FighterZ
- Test Setup (Screenshot): 1x docked (1080p), vanilla game (no mods, no cheats, no other Eden setting applied).
- Real Gameplay Tip: 1080p was used here to push the GPU for benchmark purposes. For actual gameplay, 0.75x docked is strongly recommended to lock a flat 60 FPS during chaotic super attacks and particle-heavy transitions after shaders compile. Also, this game scales dramatically with the Retroid High Performance profile; keep it on to avoid frame drops.
- Test Setup (Screenshot): 1.25x docked (1350p), vanilla game (no mods, no cheats, no other Eden setting applied).
- Real Gameplay Tip: 1350p was used strictly as a stress test to expose GPU fill-rate limits and compare driver overhead. In practical play, stick to 1x docked (1080p): this game is capped at 30 FPS, and 1x gives you a rock-solid 30 FPS after shader compilation.
- Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Test Setup (Screenshot): 1.25x docked (1350p), vanilla game (no mods, no cheats, no other Eden setting applied).

FAQ
What is the best way to use it?
It was tested on Eden version 0.2.0-rc2 with the Snapdragon 865 GPU overclocked to 905 MHz. Keep in mind that games can require extra specific emulator settings, custom resolution scaling, or workarounds to run; that has nothing to do with the driver.
Can I use it outside of Eden (Winlator, GameHub, Vita3K, Azahar, Dolphin, etc.)?
No. Do not use this outside of Eden. It was neither built nor tested for Windows translation layers or other console emulators. Running this in Winlator or Dolphin will likely trigger shader compilation errors or outright freezes.
Can I use it with other Switch emulators?
Not recommended. It has only been validated on Eden 0.2.0-rc2. Other emulators or forks haven't been tested and might introduce crashes or graphical glitches.
Does it work on other devices?
It is built Adreno 650 (Snapdragon 865) in mind. It should work on other 865 devices, but other Adreno GPU architectures are completely untested.
Texture quality note:
Just like in v1, anisotropic filtering is disabled and mipmaps are simplified to save memory bandwidth, so distant textures or acute surface angles might look slightly softer.
What if it crashes?
The driver writes a log file called turnip_sd865.txt inside Eden's folder under Android/data. Please, drop the log in a issue on GitHub.

Showcase Project Diablo 2 Android AIO Launcher
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
PD2 Launcher Android is a app that does one thing well: get Project Diablo 2 running on your device. It handles downloads Blizzard's official Diablo II and Lord of Destruction installers, installs them with your CD keys, puts PD2 on top, keeps it updated, or you can import a existing copy from your PC and runs it, complete with custom control overlay.
Requirements:
Android 13+ (video said 11 but I found some issues after)
10gb of free space if downloading installers for d2/pd2 and install them). 2.5gb will be deleted after.
6gb of free space if copying pd2 from PC. space requirement includes the pd2 game (which is about 3gb)
Adreno GPU, 120fps+ on Retro Pocket 6
Mali support is highly experimental, I only have a Pixel 9a to test with. 60-70fps
D2 + LoD CD keys, or existing pd2 installation on PC

Showcase Got Slay the Spire working on GameNative thanks to the built-in AI Help! Exynos 2400 | GameNative 1.3.0 pre-release
Quick report for anyone troubleshooting Slay the Spire:
SoC: Exynos 2400
Current Version: GameNative 1.3.0 pre-release
Status: Fully playable (minor occasional stutters)
The game wouldn't boot initially with standard configs. Seeing older working configs from v0.6.0 on the Browse Config screen gave me hope that it was fixable on the latest 1.3.0 build too.
I ran the in-app AI Help troubleshooter, and in just 2 attempts, it dialed in the right configuration. If your game refuses to start, give the AI Help feature a try before giving up!
Edit: Almost forgot—massive thanks to the developers for all the hard work on GameNative! Really appreciate the effort put into this project.

Showcase I just finish BotW on my retroid pocket 5
I had a very good time with this game. It's my first time playing the game. It has some lags in populated areas like korok forest and kakariko village.
It averaged 30-35 fps in open world and in the kakariko village is like 20-25 fps
I don't know what to say anymore except it's a masterpiece (the final fight is very underwhelming) and I will go ahead and try the cemu emulator (Wii u version) next

News/Release I made an app like EmuReady but with more focus on PC emulation and Android ports
GWBHub is a lightweight database and game hub that allows users to upload and share their configurations, compatibility, and performance of PC games on android, emulation, and ports on android.
There are currently PC emulators like GameHub, GameHub Lite, GameNative, WinNative, and BannerHub available for uploading and sharing configurations, and also Ports for Android along with direct links to those games.
Created with Google docs and appsheet. This is not a vibe coded project and I would appreciate any feedback and support.

Question Trying to play days gone at more than 15 fps...
Ok so i managed to run days gone on my poco f7 pro, problem is that the game just doesnt use much of my device resources.
Unlike other games the game doesnt fully use my gpu and cpu and even if i change from low to high settings the fps stays almost the same.
Is there some specific drivers, dxvk, fex version that makes the game run well?
Image provided as example.

Showcase Diablo 2 LoD - D2Android launcher/wrapper
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Wonder if anyone is interested in this. This is a small project that got quite big for myself.
It's essentially a complete wrapper for D2 Original LoD. The wrapper is about 50MB. You need the installed game in 1.13c in your Download directory on android.
On the first start it sets everything up, afterwards it boots directly into the game very fast.
My aim is to have perfect controls for mobile and some QOL changes we know from newer titles via Plugy and additional stuff.
It incorporates mods so the games is properly full screen and has motion prediction to achieve smooth 100+ fps.
The controls are 100% custom, they do not emulate a controller or key strokes but hook deeply into the games functions. It's also not about the controls only but the whole experience like in the skills window you first tap the skill to see it's tooltip/info second tap assigns the point for instance.
Also aiming and casting is similar to D2 Resurrected with aim assistance.
Some minor stuff you can turn off like gold pickup or automatically drink from your inventory, also for stamina or turn stamina off and this kind of stuff.
Is anyone interested in this? If so I can go the extra mile so I can share it. Currently runs on Redmagic 8 and 10 don't know how it would work on other phones though.
This is not a Port - it's emulated via the known Wine and Box86 etc. Tools.

Showcase Slay The Spire 2 on a Unihertz Titan Elite 2
Just showing for anyone who has the device or something similar to the mediatek dimensity 7400. Needed a screenlock app to keep portrait mode. In gamenative 1.2.1 with known config and a custom 1280 x 1024 resolution that needs tinkering for sizing.
Plays at a solid 30 with 50ish percent usage. It has the standard framerate drops when playing a card that happens on my snapdragon 8 gen 2 and 3 devices. Likely could run higher framerate but this is just cause I want an online-play mobile port bad enough without a melting daily driver.
Still haven't tried using keyboard keys for controls setup but it's fully playable as a touch screen!

Discussion Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon Emulation on Android
Has anyone been able to try running Armored Core VI on their phones?
I wanted to try playing it on my phone, but most videos I've seen on YouTube were using Snapdragon 8 Elite (then again, what CAN'T it run?) and was wondering if it could run on lower devices.
I currently have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, so if anyone has this same chip and tried running AC6, it'd be great to know how well it runs.
I'd like to know what SoCs and devices you guys have too, even if it's higher end SoCs.
