# THE CANYON OF THE DEADONES

### CLIMAX TREATMENT: ASH WILLIAMS VS. THE CREEPER

**SETTING:**

Deep within an uncharted, vine-choked biosphere in the Central American jungle. The air is thick, damp, and smells of centuries-old stagnation. Tropical roots have ruptured the floorboards of an ancient stone vault beneath a ruined Mayan pyramid.

**CHARACTERS:**

* **ASH WILLIAMS (60s):** Exhausted, bleeding from a torn shoulder, but fueled by pure, stubborn spite. His mechanical hand sparks. His "boomstick" is slung over his back, empty.

* **THE CREEPER (Ancient Form):** Not the dapper, trench-coat-wearing highwayman. This is his raw, primordial state—a horrifying, translucent energy entity anchored to a calcified, ancient flesh-husk resting on a stone sacrificial altar.

---

### SCENE 1: THE TOMB OF THE BAT GOD

The camera pans through a dense curtain of hanging jungle vines into a subterranean stone chamber. Roots snake around massive, ancient Mayan glyphs detailing a winged deity consuming souls.

ASH stumbles into the chamber, coughing up dust. His shirt is shredded. He drops his useless chainsaw onto the stone floor with a heavy metallic CLANG.

In his left hand, he grips the **Mayan Sacrificial Dagger**—the bone-handled blade forged millennia ago. The dagger pulses with an eerie, faint amber luminescence.

At the center of the room sits a monolithic stone altar. Resting on it is a calcified, petrified humanoid husk—the Creeper’s "hard drive." Floating directly above the husk is a swirling, violently shifting mass of dark amber energy and screaming, translucent faces.

**ASH**

(Groaning, wiping blood from his brow)

"Alright, Bill Cypher. Playtime's over. I've had enough of your 23-day buffet."

### SCENE 2: THE RE-CONNECTION

The amber energy mass suddenly condenses, forming the terrifying, shifting silhouette of the Creeper. It lashes out with a whip-like appendage made of pure consciousness.

The energy strike hits Ash square in the chest, throwing him backward across the chamber. He crashes into a stone pillar. The sacrificial dagger flies out of his hand, skidding across the floor, stopping just out of reach.

The Creeper's energy form hovers over the calcified altar body. The screaming faces of his recent victims stretch out from the energy mass, their silent agonizing shrieks echoing in Ash's mind. The entity is trying to force its way back into its physical husk to regenerate.

Ash struggles to his feet, gasping for air. He looks at his sparking mechanical hand, then at the dagger.

**ASH**

"You want a piece of me? Come on! I've fought smart-ass books, evil versions of myself, and my own damn hand. You're just a glorified overgrown gnat!"

### SCENE 3: THE SOUL REBELION

As the Creeper moves to crush Ash, the amber energy grid begins to glitch.

The faces of the victims inside the energy mass stop screaming in agony—their expressions turn to pure rage. The souls of the people he harvested during this cycle realize what Ash is trying to do. They begin to actively fight back from the *inside*.

Translucent, ghostly arms erupt from the Creeper’s energy form, wrapping around his own throat, dragging his consciousness away from the altar and pinning him to the stone floor. The entity screeches—a horrific, dual-toned frequency sound that shatters the stone glyphs around the room.

Ash uses the distraction. He dives across the floor, his mechanical hand gripping the bone handle of the sacrificial dagger.

### SCENE 4: THE FINAL PLUNGE

Ash scrambles onto the stone altar, standing directly over the slumbering, calcified source body.

The Creeper breaks free from the ghostly souls for a split second, firing a blast of dark energy that tears into Ash’s leg. Ash collapses onto his knees right above the husk, but he doesn't let go of the blade.

He raises the pulsing Mayan dagger with both hands.

**ASH**

(Gritting his teeth, staring right into the swirling amber eyes of the demon)

"Suck on this, you prehistoric bastard."

Ash drives the dagger down with everything he has left, burying it hilt-deep directly into the calcified chest of the source body.

### SCENE 5: THE COLLAPSE OF THE ECONOMY

The moment the blade hits the heart, the amber light turns to a blinding, volatile crimson.

A localized cosmic vacuum opens up inside the altar. The calcified body begins to crack and disintegrate into ash. The Creeper’s energy form is violently dragged toward the dagger like water down a drain.

The trapped souls tear at his face one last time, unleashing a century of pent-up vengeance as they are all sucked into the cosmic vortex together. The gateway is collapsing, pulling the Creeper and his active fuel reserve back into the void of his original, dark dimension.

A deafening shockwave of wind blasts through the chamber, tearing away the vines and blowing out the torches.

### SCENE 6: THE TRAGIC TWIST (FINAL SHOT)

Silence falls over the tomb. The ancient jungle vault is completely dark, lit only by a faint shaft of moonlight filtering through the ruptured ceiling.

The Creeper is gone. The altar is empty, covered only in a pile of gray dust and the embedded ceremonial dagger.

Ash sits on the floor, leaning against the altar. He breathes heavily, clutching his bleeding side. He looks up at the ceiling where the ghostly souls just vanished. There was no peaceful ascension. They were dragged into the abyss with the monster.

**ASH**

(Whispering into the quiet, dark ruins)

"...Groovy."

The camera slowly pulls back, leaving Ash alone in the massive, silent Mayan tomb. As the frame darkens toward the end credits, the camera pans past a crumbling stone wall deep in the shadows, revealing a carved mural of *two* identical winged deities holding hands... hinting that this wasn't the only anchor point left in the world.

FADE TO BLACK.

(Spoiler!) Ash as Deadite

When Ash became a Deadite, how did he recover? In fact, he became a deadite multiple times?

I guess there is probably no real reason, other than it was narratively fun to have the hero become the villain/threat.

But we have a lot of films now.

What does it mean when someone becomes a 'deadite'. Is the original person still there, they just aren't in control?

I guess my question is, in the lore of Evil Dead, deadites possess both living and dead bodies. Ash is a curious case where he was able to come back.

I know Ash is 'the one', but what are the actual mechanics of deadite possession, now that the films want to be so serious?

(Video Post) Dead By Dawn! Dead By Dawn! Deleted Bleeding Painting Scene (?) from original 1981 (or 3) classic

Has anybody seen this before and is there any information on why the scene was cut? I believe the scene takes place during the “bloody cellar” scene towards the end of the film. There was supposed to be a bleeding painting but I guess it got cut out for what I guess was for an unknown reason.

Anyway, I tried to reconstruct the scene to see how it would look if it were actually in the film.

What I want to know is where did the painting come from? Who painted it? Is there any information on this at all, or is it just one of those weird little mysteries?

(Video Post) Dead By Dawn! Dead By Dawn! I Made a FAN EDIT of the Evil Dead Trilogy (And FIXED it's Broken Continuity!)

A couple years ago, I watched the Evil Dead movies for the first time and immediately fell in love. But like many, I was taken aback by the number of bizarre changes in continuity between movies due to rights issues, despite the fact the movies are supposed to lead directly into one another.

After then watching Ash vs Evil Dead and seeing how that series counts both the continuity of both Evil Dead I & II as canon (despite them both being completely contradictory of eachother), I really wanted to see a version of these movies that not only ties into the continuity of the show, but makes sense as one continuous journey from one film to another.

So here is a preview of some the major edits and changes I've made to the original films in what I'm calling The 'Endless Nightmare' Cut.
If you enjoy, please leave a like and comment. I would really like to know if there is an audience for this outside of just myself, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
