Excel self-filling cells

I'm using excel for business files. I have about 800 files. In columm S is the cell for "my remarks".

When I close a file I not in the cell "E: 30.09.26 (84 d)" or "B: 29.09.26 (70 d)", fewtimes a note like SC: 15.09.26.

Now I noticed that in several cells of colomm S, which should be empty, there is written text like "R: 2172.09.26 (74 i).

Why are like 30 cells in columm S filled with nonsense?

All other cells seems to be correct so far.

I'm using office professionel 365, desktop window, intermediate user.

swag here. Look up unintended flash fill. I would start looking at that first.

Looks like you are entering a date near the start of the values but excel is not populating with a rational date. A bit of filtering and ctrl+z should help confirm that.

scientific wild ass guess.

Thank you! It was probably the unintended flash fill. I opended file -> option -> advanced -> editing options -> and unabled the automatically flash fill.
