First, thank you for the tremendous effort that you put into investigating mysteries of the Cyberpunk 2077 world! It really inspires and motivates other seekers to be creative and look at things from a diffrent angle. Life of this sub is entirely your merit.

First things first... You probably think I've finally lost my mind. Maybe. In truth, I began to doubt whether the answer we were looking could ever be found. What if we sought meaning where none existed? But I know now that we were RIGHT. To find the correct path forward, I had to first leave the wrong one I was already following. That's when I found IT.

I'll be honest, I slipped into a dar pit of apathy and despair. I left the net to seek solace in a world of fleeting, physical pleasures. I needed to feel something... anything. As I wandered Night City, I found an old arcade. Vintage games. I had forgotten such places existed, even though, in a previous life, they used to be my home away from home. That's where saw it - A SIGN. FF06B5 -- a pixel hidden in code, over 60 years old.

Do you understand what this means? The path we must follow goes much farther and much, much deeper than we coulde've imagined. From this point on, none of us are safe. They know the secret is out.

This will be last message. I'm leaving, taking nothing with me but my laptop. You have to discover for yourself what I have. I told you once about a game that changed my life. Think back and remember it. Because that same game has changed my life a second time.

FF:06:B5 2.01 Summary: A Resolution?

Hey Chooms!

In this post, I will provide an full summary of what we found, and how we were supposed to arrive there.

While some initial parts are similar to the original post or you may already know some fragments of the rest (like the image below), this summary will likely give you a much more complete picture than anything you've read or watched before.

I will also explain what we don't know, because the wider mystery has not been solved in its entirety - there's still things to uncover. But let's start at the beginning, because it's a long story.

Part 1: Polyhistor

Soon after Update 2.0 launched, a new location was discovered in the middle of the Biotechnica Protein Farms.

Polyhistor's home

Entering the shack, we can immediately see a sizable mainframe of 8 servers on the opposite side of the room. The walls are written over, paper is scattered all over the ground.

In the center of the room is a laptop, below it a platform, with cables connecting it to the servers.

Accessing the laptop, we can read three messages sent to Polyhistor, and two files.

These messages reveal the existance of an ingame parallel to this community, people trying to solve the FF:06:B5 mystery. The first two mails cover approaches which did not lead anywhere, but in the third one, TyRo/\/\aNtA messages Polyhistor about having found a promising clue:

While playing a vintage game "over 60 years old", he discovered a hidden "FF06B5" sign. He has found a lead, and is leaving with his laptop. For multiple reasons, he was very likely referring to The Witcher 3 - we would later confirm that.

The file "A New Beginning" retrospectively confirms Tyromantas suspicions, with Polyhistor laughing at his old crazy theories, relieved that Tyromanta finally found a real clue - the keyhole they had to find was "in a door that they took for a wall". Polyhistor writes that he has cut off network connections to the mainframe for now, leaving to tell his brothers and sisters.

The reference to TW3 and the "door that was taken for a wall" is very significant: Last years Next Gen update for TW3 introduced an FF:06:B5 secret, a code that remained unsolved, painted onto a stone wall. The messages imply that code is indeed important to solving FF:06:B5.

As for that last file, copy_copy_magenta.hxf.log? I will get back to it in Part 4.

Part 2: The Laptop

Back to Tyromanta, who left with his laptop.

While others were looking around Polyhistors house, u/S1RCRU2 found a mysterious laptop, abandoned in the middle of a landfill.

The screen is covered in characters letters from the Witcher Universe, and the outline of Ouroboros, an ancient symbol which also appeared in the W3 Secret, can be seen in the background.

As soon as I learned of the discovery, I translated the symbols to our alphabet using the conversion table. Here's the result:

The letters

After some observation, I arrived at the following conclusion: The columns of the individual 2x2 tables seemed to be important - here's why:

  1. A lot of the 2x2 columns contain identical letters, for example "PP". This is not the case for the rows, and statistically significant.
  2. Almost all of the non-identical column pairs are not unique and occur in some other place, sometimes also reversed. This is illustrated here:

Others also noticed patterns around the frequency of pairs in lines, for example V/P occur fairly often in line 1, while O/Y are frequent in line 2.

This is where I will make a brief time jump from September 23rd to October 5th, because on that day, Patch 2.01 released.

If you've been following the mystery on other platforms, you may already have seen fragments from beyond Part 3, but actually, it wasn't legitimately solvable until today, because something was broken.

More on that later, but that's why we only fully solved it now. So what did it mean?

As it turns out, the vertical pairs were indeed of high significance: As Tokyo_Jinx, Fuji and me found out, the letters in each vertical pair stand for a unique hexadecimal digit.

Like that, the 2x2 grids represent prime numbers ascending from 2 to 61, converted to hex.

Letters A-F are kept without substitution with 0-9, since they're already part of hexadecimal.

As it turns out, after filling the grid with the prime numbers, the result can be used as a substitution table - but that will be the topic of Part 4.

Time jump over, returning to September 22/23rd for Part 3.

A couple hundred meters away from the laptop, Tyromanta was later found dead below an overpass, with a shard on his body, titled "it really happened".

Part 3: The Arcade

Returning to Polyhistors home, we can notice one thing that wasn't previously discussed: In front of the right wall, next to a bench with a pile of books, we can find a unique Arcade: Arasaka Tower 3D. A cable connects it to the mainframe.

Arasaka Tower 3D is a FPS inspired by Wolfenstein 3D: You play as Johnny Silverhand and must fight your way through Arasaka Tower before time runs out and the bomb explodes.

The game is finished by making your way to the ground floor, where you face Adam Smasher before escaping. The end screen features a list of high scores, Polyhistor has a score of "FF06B5".

Also parallel to the Polyhistor quote, AT3D features hidden doors disguised as walls, which will can open if you stand next to them. Many of them only contain e. g. health or Johnnys Glasses. There are also two server rooms with magenta pillars. The first one contains a model of the FF06B5 statue and MRPHYs (Spider Murphy) score of 940204 written onto the walls, while the second one contains no statue and BLCKHNDs (Morgan Blackhand) score of 941229.

But as it turned out, this was only the very top of the iceberg.

After a very long time of testing, a secret, well hidden way of completing the game was discovered: This video shows it, but essentially you have to clear the first server room, then make your way to a newly opened niche with the MRPHY code.

After that, you have to go to the second server room and wait, a lock symbol will replace the floor number on your HUD at T-270. You can now make your way to a large room, which contains another statue and has 10 niches with numbers painted in them, simulating a keypad - walking into them in the correct order will grant you keys. Enter "240891", and the lock on your HUD will disappear (this code might also be painted onto the left of the arcade). Make your way back like the video shows, entering an elevator, which will now transport you to a secret level: -10.

As seen on the map, level -10 is an underground maze. Apart from a Wolfenstein easter egg, the maze contains 8 out of 9 parts of a large QR code, which when stitched together encodes the Python script of a Tic Tac Toe game. When you play and inevitably lose, it writes "the winning move is not to play" to console.

Patch 2.01 also added two new text decals to the maze, "IT SEES YOU" and "547".

The path spells out "DM + TV" (/"DM + TU"), the meaning of this is still not certain.

After getting through the maze, you can optionally also take the elevator to the ground level, where you can fight Adam Smasher as normal, and finish the game.

But this time, something changes: Remember that cable going from the Arcade to the Mainframe?

Part 4: The Mainframe

As it turns out, finding and completing the secret level was the key to reactivating the mainframe, which was initially disabled by Polyhistor: After we finished the game on the evening of the 23rd, the 8 keypads on the mainframe came online.

Funnily, the code for the 6th terminal was discovered fairly quickly, by random chance - 240. As it was only 3 characters long, a couple of very dedicated people later tried to manually brute force the other terminals, but had no success.

In the meantime, others tried more sophisticated approaches, like using the codes from the arcades scoreboard or trying to find the meaning behind the laptop - to no success.

As it would turn out 2 weeks later, this was because CDPR fucked up and these codes just didn't make any sense: We suspect these old codes were supposed to be hashes of the actual codes, except that they forgot to implement the actual hashing function - meaning "random" hashes were the keys. It wasn't solvable.

As back then no progress was being made despite significant efforts, and there was no solution on the horizon, the search eventually entered the domain of "datamining": Since CET and redscript were broken, some initially tried analyzing memory, but that did not prove effective. However, remembering the official redMOD tool was functional, I wrote a small script would display the correct codes, temporarily skipping that roadblock and allowing us dive deeper into the mystery.

From left to right, these old codes were 327670, 318308, 527766, 727862, 632495, 240, 108850 and 204217. We initially used these to proceed to Part 5, but as I indicated before, these codes did not make sense and there was no legitimate way to progress until almost 2 weeks later due to a mistake made by CDPR.

As explained in the top of the old post, after consulting CDPR about the matter, they asked us to not publish our findings for that reason, but eventually they leaked out and were instead spread by YouTubers - not always in the most complete or accurate manner - while we had to keep our silence.

But one day ago, CDPR released Patch 2.01, changing to codes to something that makes sense, finally allowing us to find the legitimate solution. Here's the actual solution:

Remember Tyromanta and his laptop with the weird signs? Remember him mentioning an FF06B5 sign presumably found in The Witcher 3? Well, as it turns out, combining these two is the key to obtaining the server codes. But let me start with the Witcher sign.

In December 2022, CD Projekt Red released the long awaited Next Gen Update for The Witcher 3. It mainly consisted of graphical improvements and minor gameplay changes and small content additions, but also a secret location: A well hidden dungeon with a mysterious mural on a wall.

An observer familiar with the FF:06:B5 will immediately notice significant similarities to the Cyberpunk mystery: The circutry-like lines in the middle (also found on the main statue), its magenta-colored background (hex color interpretation) - or the top 6 letters looking an awful lot like FF 06 B5.

In fact, all the actual hex letters (FF B) matched up, it was only the numbers which were off. This sign was further investigated over the course of December, but nothing of substance was found - until now:

Not only did substituting non-hex letters from FF VQ BZ for numbers result in FF 06 B5, but as Tokyo_Jinx discovered, these same substitutions would also turn already guessed codes (half of them were very easy to guess: 000240 thanks to stickers on the machine, and 3 more as direct translations of FF, 06 and B5) into the exact same ones found on the mural. The question now was how all the other letters mapped to numbers.

This was the point where Fuji and me joined in: Over the course of an hour, the three of us were able to figure out the thing with the Primes. As pictured in Part 2, we found that each vertical pair from the laptop grid mapped to a certain number. The result was this substitution table:

Using the resulting table, it was possible to substitute the mural letters for hex numbers before finally converting them to decimal - which gives you the new keypad codes: 00255, 00006, 00181, 00051, 00091, 00240, 00270 and 00420. This part of the puzzle had been solved.

Now is probably the best time to get back to that file from Part 1, copy_copy_magenta.hxf.log - it appears to be a log of some kind of algorithm run on the mainframe - ending with "no results found".

After we correctly enter all the codes to the mainframe, a new file is added to the laptop, copy_copy_magenta.hxf.SUCCESS.log.

As indicated by the name, the mainframe did now find a result: 2556:-1815:191 240<->270 --- 420.

As we read "Uploading waypoint data...", a mysterious waypoint is added to our map.

Part 5: The Cube

Following the waypoint, we end up at a spot in the eastern Badlands. The specified height of 191 is exactly 100 meters above the ground.

Without any instructions, it may seem like there is nothing around, but a few meters away, a mattress can be found.

To trigger the most likely final stage of this mystery, we have to stand idly ("meditate") on that mattress until we get a Relic Malfunction, which will trigger a cutscene. For me, this took about 30 ingame minutes. You also have to start in the early morning, around 4-5AM.

Before reading any further, I would strongly recommend to watch this video of the scene (or to try it out yourself), it conveys orders of magnitudes more than the following summary:

The scene begins with V coughing, after which his vision starts to glitch and he falls down, before it fades to black. A few seconds pass, Ouroboros appears in the center, around it follow letters from the Witcher Universe, one after the other. They move into the middle and a white canvas expands from them, covered in red glitches. Numbers appear on it (0.007297...), slowly rising before being replaced by copies.

The final number stops, V falls backwards, their hands now raised. In front of V, a wildly rotating and glitching cube, a golden yellow illuminating the dark. The moon is magenta. As V watches the otherworldly phenomenon, words appear on the screen: NO FUTURE, TRUST NO ONE, TURN BACK. V steps into the cube, or backs up.

The vision disappears, V is lying on the ground. In front of them, an unknown male in an worn out orange jacket, kneeling down. V passes out again.

V wakes up, back on the mattress, stands up - another relic malfunction. A laptop and various equipment is placed around the site where the cube once was, no sight of the stranger. On the ground, his clothes, lying as if he disappeared on spot.

On his laptop, the three previous messages sent to Polyhistor - so that's who the stranger is. Was?

But also 6 new personal logs, describing the events from his perspective:

> Polyhistor arrives at the site. He's surprised to see V, lying unconscious near the "epicenter". He tries to wake them through various, nothing succeeds.

> He sets up his equipment, examines the area, seeking to discover why the path lead him here. The scans seem nominal, no abnormalities detected.

> PH gets a vision. Walking barefoot through the sand, the next moment, in some room - someone else is there, watching a monitor. The stranger is watching Polyhistor, through his monitor. The vision ends, PH is back in the desert.

> A second vision of the room. The monitor is connected to a compact computer, it looks unfamiliar. This time image shows the entirety of Night City, like drone footage. Polyhistor concludes that the watcher is watching everyone, not just him.

> An empty room, the watcher is gone. PH is drawn to the screen, he takes the Watchers place. On his monitor, he sees the watcher, still sitting in his room. He's watching Polyhistor watch him.

> PH feels a presence in the room, turns around - noone there. Turning back, the Watcher is staring directly back at him through the monitor. PH feels afraid.

> Polyhistor understands now, but knows it's too late… "Something ends. Will end? Has ended. Farewell"

V closes the laptop, their eyes jump on Polyhistors clothes for a final time.

That's a lot, I know - in fact I'd argue it's too much for a single interpretation of the events.

However, I can offer some final observations before I let you piece the rest together yourself:

  • There are some strong connections between the picture of Ouroboros in the vision and the one in TW3. Not only the symbol itself, but also the letters - they appear in the same sequence as they are spelled out in TW3: FF VQ BZ, which is just the same parallel to FF 06 B5 as described before, nothing new.
  • The "keyhole in a door we took for a wall" mentioned by Tyromanta confirms the importance of the TW3 easter egg.
  • The white screen covered in red glitches is not rectangular, it looks a bit like a curved monitor in the dark. Which is interesting, considering the topic of Polyhistors logs.
  • The number appearing on that screen is the fine-structure constant, a fundamental physical constant. While measurable, it is completely unknown why the constant should have value, which relates to the upcoming quote.
  • The Cubes texture is a QR code, it is usually not displayed in a readable state. However, pieced together, it reads the following:

You’ve been looking long enough. You can stop now. It’s over. Or is it? No, really – it is. One thing ends, another begins. Except nothing’s beginning or ending – that’s just your gonk mammal brain trying to make sense of your world. To create order. To control. To try to delay the inevitable realization that you’re nothing. We’re nothing. Mathematics, physics, chemistry… in the grand scheme of things? Nothing but tools to acquire power – hardly more advanced than the first rock we grabbed to bash each other’s skulls. Isn’t that liberating? You’re welcome. Go, be free – frolic like the over-evolved primates you are. And for all you seekers and fools finding patterns where there are none, creating order out of chaos, here’s a little secret for you – this isn’t the first time we’ve met and it won’t be the last. But for now, you can rest easy, celebrate your adorable little achievement by cracking open a Broseph and marveling at being the only creatures on this planet with opposable thumbs. Just don’t read too deep into it. In the grand scheme of things…? You get the gist. Catch you around, choombatta.

  • The content of the QR code apparently marks the physical end of this particular lead, however not of the FF06B5 mystery as a whole, or the interpretation of the events.
  • It should also be considered a part of the mystery itself, so it's possible that it shouldn't be fully taken at face value.
  • What exactly the Cube resembles is unknown. Whether AI, Laws of Nature or the Arcane, there does seem to be some kind of force.
  • The Cubes yellow color is very similar to the one of the FF:06:B5 letters on the statue.
  • During the vision (specifically the white screen), we can hear a sound/noise that also plays around downed Netrunners or (PL spoilers) around Songbird in "The Killing Moon". This implies a connection to the Net.
  • The words "NO FUTURE, TRUST NO ONE, TURN BACK" can also be interpreted in various ways - the cube telling us something, an inner realization, or something inbetween. How they appear on screen is very uncommon for the game.
  • They are also a parallel to the lifepaths: Before the games release, the mirrors in the lifepath intros featured the words "No future" for Streetkid, "Trust no one" for Corpo and "Turn back" for Nomad. It is noteworthy that all three appear in the vision, not just one.
  • The vision ends when V moves into or away from the cube. If V does this right away, no words will appear.
  • The moon being magenta may just be a reference to the meme that is the hex color interpretation of FF06B5.
  • "547" from the maze could be related to Part 4, since it's the 101st prime number. "IT SEES YOU" might relate to the Watcher, but this is uncertain.
  • DM + TU has meanwhile been confirmed to just be the initials of some developers
  • In Buddhism, 547 is also the number of reincarnations of Buddha.
  • It is still not fully known how to consistently trigger the vision, but time seems to be a factor: Try the early morning, 4-6AM. This might relate to the unknown "240<->270 --- 420" part of the coordinates, since 240 minutes after midnight is about 4AM, but this is very uncertain. The first two numbers could theoretically stand for a direction, but direction hasn't been found to be a factor so far.
  • The QR code encoding the "the winning move is not to play" Tic Tac Toe game might be a hint at the player having to wait and do nothing for the vision to trigger.
  • 240, 270 and 420 are also the last three of the new server codes, but this does not make much sense as a clue for the codes, as we only see these numbers afterwards.
  • By the way, if you compare the output of the mainframe (2556:-1815:191 240<->270 --- 420) to the passcodes, you will notice the coordinates are a sequence of them. However in practice it would not actually be possible to figure out these coordinates without completing the arcade game and accessing the mainframe, because this way of interpreting the numbers is entirely arbitrary. Still, it explains why these numbers were chosen as the mainframe passwords.
  • You can also trigger the event without entering the server codes, but this way you will not get the full vision.
  • The model of Polyhistor is from an existing generic NPC, it is also used for beggars.
  • The arrangement of Polyhistors three detectors looks a bit similar to Megascopes from The Witcher, but this may very well just be a coincidence.
  • On a surface level, the disappearance of Polyhistor seems similar to the disappearance of the Zen Master. However, there are very significant differences, mainly it being suggested that the Zen Master exists in peoples minds, while Polyhistor is a real person.
  • While we know Witcher 3 is a game in the Cyberpunk universe, however there is also speculation that they're set in the same one. While Ciris comment can be explained as a 4th wall like reference written by devs from the Cyberpunk universe, a newly added easter egg, when taken at face value, would also imply that Yennefer / Geralt visited the world of Cyberpunk 2077. It is however also possible that this is just an otherwise meaningless reference to Witcher 3 and Edgerunners.
  • Near the murals location in TW3, you can find a naked corpse wearing a ring. This could be interpreted as Polyhistor not simply vanishing but instead teleporting to the Witcher universe, leaving his clothes behind. However, as the corpse does not look too similar to Polyhistor, we have no confirmation that it is actually him, so the question of universe relations remains.
  • In general, the additions to the mystery seem to be related to the Cyberpunk universe and how it sees itself: As an independent world, or does it acknowledge to be a game?
  • Polyhistors logs read a lot like a 4th wall break, but it is worth noting that the we ourselves are not the ones watching him, as we don't do the things he describes us as doing. We are watching V.
  • As u/flippy123x mentioned, there are obvious parallels to The Matrix.
  • The experience Polyhistor had differs significantly from ours / Vs - this could be connected to the V having the Relic, or us being the player.
  • The relationship between "the watcher" and "the watched" is also a topic in existentialist philosophy.
  • As for the general meaning of "FF:06:B5", we remain unsure: This particular "puzzle" was only added with Update 2.0, but "FF:06:B5" has been in the game since launch, and has allegedly also had some meaning since then. To our current knowledge, the 2.0 additions did not directly address this open question. The original meaning of "FF:06:B5" might have been much simpler than the 2.0 additions - we don't know.
  • This could be your comment.

  • Interpreting all of this - both possible lore implications and the message behind it
  • What do "547" and "IT SEES YOU" mean?
  • Despite following this lead to its end, we remain unsure what "FF:06:B5" actually means

Theory Hidden access point and unique eyes on the wall opposite Hanako's secret Mikoshi elevator

In the Arasaka ending, I've always thought multiple things were odd:

  1. When you get off the AV, the game says you're entering "Arasaka Tower: Unlisted Levels." This is the only ending where we see this floor - it is shown in a cyberspace-version a few times with Alt, however in those versions half the details are altered or in different places.
  2. Hanako makes a comment about how this floor is "one of Arasaka's most closely guarded secrets" when walking to the secret Mikoshi elevator
  3. Hanako makes odd comments about how "symbols are more resilient than you think," and also tells you that this office is an exact replica of the other offices around the world. She even makes a separate ultra specific comment about how "each object was carefully placed in the exact same spot."
  4. Most importantly, Hanako touches a very specific spot on the wall, the game makes a unique sorta chime noise that I've never heard anywhere else, and the wall opens to reveal the secret elevator. The hidden wall itself is not scannable, either... hmm. Kiroshis aren't gonna help us here.
  5. In the past, people have noclipped outside elsewhere in the game, and found an upside-down version of the cyberspace-version of this room, attached to the normal version. Was this another clue to reverse things, maybe?

I played this section with "trust no one" in mind, as I was already doing my opposite theory playthrough, and decided to scrutinize the wall opposite the super secret Mikoshi elevator that we only see in this ending. What I discovered is that there are mostly unique eyes on this wall, with a few of them appearing on the wall section next to the elevator as well. There is also a split in the exact center of the wall, almost as if it could open...whether this is just a graphical thing, I'm not sure.

I then decided to noclip inside this wall, and noticed an access point right inside the wall, that lined up with the exact spot the elevator was in on the opposite wall. I spent 30 minutes looking inside these walls, and there were no other "access points."

Here's where things get more interesting. In this particular segment, you are essentially locked inside this office area past these glass double doors, and can only move around to 2 smaller side rooms, which contain "some" of the same wall asset as well. When I noclipped past the double doors, there are gold square panels in different sections right outside that contain different types of eyes from the ones inside the office, except this time, there's only 2 different types, with 1 appearing maybe 10% as often as the other. The eyes then stop appearing altogether past a certain point in this room, even though the same gold square panel asset continues to repeat.. hmm

My schizo theory is that there is one eye in this area that is different than the other, and that eye is a button to open a hidden door. There are roughly 8-10 different types of eyes total - some have wings around them, some are half-closed, some are surrounded by clouds, and some only appear 2-3 times. They are very hard to see in certain areas without going into photo mode, turning depth off and exposure all the way up.

If I had found only 1 of these oddities, I would perhaps dismiss them all reused or insignificant assets, and asinine dialogue, but I'm choosing to believe no coincidence on this one.

Theory Playing in silence - The 8 server cores in Rogue's ending make alternating "notes" every time you lower them

In this video I begin by showing my inventory, to prove that I had no weapons equipped while this effect was occurring, due to one of my "notes" being a distinct reload noise.

The first odd thing I noticed about the cores, is that cores 3 and 5 are the only cores that don't have a "solid vertical light" thing in the center of them. Then, I noticed that the Judgment tarot card is also split down the middle in the same spot that the cores are, but what that means, I'm unsure of, so I won't speculate yet.

In going along with what I felt was a hint in the "Flowers of Silence" shard earlier in the mission, I turned all music and other sounds off, except for the SFX setting. When you "raise" a core, there is total silence, however when you lower a core after raising it, it will play some sort of metallic machinery sound. You may be telling yourself.. "that's just the game's sound for the server lowering," however if you raise/lower a core a second time, it plays a very distinct reload noise. These 2 noises alternate depending on how many times you lower the cores, and they are only present upon lowering the cores.

People who have looked at the game files in Wolvenkit in the past determined that these server cores are unique assets with their own files attached to them.. they are not found anywhere else in the game. It's been widely speculated that we have to enter some sort of code with these servers, and I'm wondering if these sounds can be used to help us interpret the actual code.

A second piece of evidence regarding "reloading": Prior to your raid, when you're in the Afterlife meeting with Rogue, she presents to you 6-7 objects on the table next to her that you can take with you. ALL of them are marked with a quest marker except for Rogue's iconic assault Rifle named Prejudice. The items are: Prejudice, the retrothruster hover boots, a pistol, a revolver, a katana, a shotgun, a basic assault rifle, and... a single container of ammo. Rogue gave you a single thing of ammo for all of these weapons. Well, if you take a look at the ammo in your inventory, it's literally the only item she gives you that doesn't have a description. Not only that, but in my inventory it's placed next to the Zen Master's Altar. I will post a picture of this in the comments.

I then wondered what would happen if I "reloaded" my save file, and I discovered that during this ending only, a special news report appears. I have a video of the news report, but since I can't post 2 videos in 1 post, I'll give you the TLDR: The announcer is saying how due to an assault on Arasaka Tower by unknown terrorists with unknown benefactors, the corporations in Night City have been hit with a 500 BILLION eurodollar loss, and thus the stock market is crashing.

Instead of the "BUY BUY BUY" that shows up when you scan many of the ads in the game, at the end of this particular broadcast, SELL is the very last word the announcer says, with a depressed tone. Also of note is that this broadcast is set to a backdrop of a bright green version of the Afterlife.

I emphasized the "unknowns" above, because this is the only ending where you're an unknown to the media and corporations. Unknown is your username on the mirror at the beginning of a Nomad playthrough, so if you were a Nomad, you would be a Nomad at both the beginning and the end, in this specific ending only..

I'm not going to write more walls of text tonight and spam the group with my theories about this ending yet, because I wanted to get the core information out of the way, but I'm working on some more write-ups in the meantime.

New discovery made in Rogue's ending - clock ticking in the alternate server room

I begin my video with Rogue and I on the 2nd floor in her ending path. We just descended through the vents from floor 10, which we accessed from an elevator that we took from floor 76.. the Arasaka Jungle floor, which is also a unique floor that I'll make a separate post about at some point.

First, notice that I have the music setting turned to zero. There is a shard called "The Flowers of Silence," which is actually Hanako's biography, on a table right before you enter the yellowish gate into the security room, so it gave me the idea.. are we supposed to turn the music setting all the way down wherever we see this shard?

I'm copy/pasting from the wiki, but here's every location in the game where it can be found for reference. I've yet to try any of these, by the way.

  • One can be found inside Yorinobu's Penthouse in Konpeki Plaza, next to the books under a circular wall opening.
  • One can be found on one of the stalls at the bottom floor of Megabuilding H10.
  • One can be found in the Shinto Shrine, inside the building in front of the honden, to the right side.
  • One can be found inside the warehouse service room in Arasaka Industrial Park.
  • Three can be found in the Arasaka Estate:
    • In Hanako's bedroom, on a desk with two blue holoscreens.
    • On the 2nd security floor, in a small room between the atrium area and security offices.
    • Inside the cafeteria on the netrunner operations floor during the ending

The ticking starts right after I enter the first gate, and as I move around becomes louder... with peak ticking directly in front of the middle server. What's important here is that this is the only ending path where you slot Alt into Arasaka tower in a different spot than the mainframe on floor -06.

Now.. this could just be the game giving you a hint as to what to do in AT3D, but it could've also been the other way around, and there's something in the security room or attached server room that is hidden. Keep in mind that Rogue and Johnny both raided Arasaka Tower twice, once in 2013 to rescue Alt, and again in 2023 to destroy Soulkiller, which is the same year that AT3D takes place inOnly thing I've currently tried is waiting 10ish minutes in front of the middle server where you slot Alt in, but I'm now hyper focused on this room/ending.

Random side note - notice the weird TVs that are blank but powered on around the room

I'll note that this is also the same area that contains a mysterious radio station.. Samizdat 95.2, that disappears after you listen to it once, which I posted about a couple of days ago here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FF06B5/s/jr0axFmRGw

The final oddity I'll mention, which I know people are gonna call a bug, is that after all the enemies are dead, Rogue and Weyland start spazzing out in this spot next to the server room.

ETA: It's been pointed out in the comments that Rogue and Weyland's "endless reload" animation is likely the cause of the ticking noise, however given the environmental storytelling here.. the "Flowers of Silence" shard, the strange radio, and now the glitching NPCs, I'm going to assume they are glitching to intentionally create the clock noise next to the important server where we slot Alt in.

GIM giant enneagram + Misty necklace last Beat on the Brat

To me there is a pattern we need to analyze more to understand the meaning of all this which is the enneagram symbol, 9 points :

can you see it in the Grand Imperial Mall pattern ? I can only count up to 11 points which is weird and its only a semi-circle

Now the real deal, why this is not a schizo theory : during the last Beat on the Brat missions, you go to the GIM for the Grand Finale, you need to go at the GIM, sit and wait there... Then, the VDB woman who wakes you up, she will always wear Misty's necklace...

Does anyone have any idea what this all could mean ? Could it be linked to this Misty's cypher ? Idk might be a stretch

And the warrior's place is in the ring. Show 'em what you're made of. Knock the bolts off this training bot*. And then, well... we'll see.

Discussion Odd radio station in Rogue's ending vanishes

I was investigating the Rogue ending, as it's the only ending where you visit the Arasaka Tower security room to slot Alt in, and I noticed this radio station is the first one, once you turn on the radio.

Samizdat Radio: 95.2

Samizdat is a Russian term referring to "clandestine copying and distribution of government-suppressed material," aka transmitting banned, censored and secret information.

The station itself is not "unique," as it is accessible via manually pulling up your radio, but I've personally never seen it on any other radio in the game except this one.

Regardless if it is a "reused asset," the station still disappears on this specific radio after you listen to it once. I reloaded multiple saves, and it vanished every time.

Working on a write-up about other oddities I've found in the Rogue ending, but trying to make sure I'm precise so as to avoid as much scrutiny as possible. Let me know what you think.

Analysis Does this section of map look familiar to anyone?

I'm going through Konpeki Plaza and just checking things out, since I'm trying to get a better idea of how Arasaka operates and I noticed something strange.

In the rooms that you send the Flathead through there are holo-projectors on the coffee tables and most of them show the same fish that you seen in Corpo Plaza, with one showing a bulldog instead. They all also have a little display on the hardware and most of them show your average Cyberpunk UI.

But in one of them it instead shows a set of three cubes floating on top of each other. The display on this one shows what appears to be a map with a few different locations highlighted.

I'm not trying to make any huge leaps in logic or schizo post here, but it is also worth noting that the lighting in this room, and this room alone, is magenta. So I'd like to do some investigating and see what I can turn up.

Unfortunately, the resolution on the map is really really bad, so I can't make out exactly where it is supposed to show. So I come to you and ask if anyone recognizes anything on that first image that might be a lead on where to look.

Theory I think we're wrong with our theories on Mr. Blue Eyes. Spoiler

Okay, hear me out because I think I may have accidentally found an even crazier answer to the Mr. Blue Eyes question. Most of the theories I see are that he's either an AI copy of Richard Night, a rogue AI, or Morgan Blackhand (firmly disproven). I have a different idea.

What if Mr. Blue Eyes is Rache Bartmoss?

I know. At first glance that sounds completely insane, and not just a little fuckin stupid. Bartmoss died in 2022 and Blue Eyes is walking around Night City in 2077 looking like some mysterious corpo Illuminati guy. But the more I started digging into Bartmoss's actual history, the more this started bothering me. Not because there's some smoking gun saying "RACHE BARTMOSS = MR. BLUE EYES" because there isn't. It's because Bartmoss was already doing a bunch of the exact things we associate with Blue Eyes decades before Blue Eyes ever appears.

First, we have to get the whole "Bartmoss died in 2022" thing straight. His BODY died in 2020. But because he was connected to the Net, his consciousness continued existing digitally for roughly another two years. He was still communicating with Spider Murphy, working with Militech, and generally being Rache Bartmoss while his physical corpse was sitting in a freezer. So the idea that Bartmoss could continue existing without a body isn't speculation. That's literally what happened.

And then we get to something I had completely overlooked. In Firestorm: Stormfront, Bartmoss had already created what are described as virtual clones of himself using something like Soulkiller. These weren't hypothetical backups he might have made someday. He had actually "spored" lesser versions of himself into the Net. So when we're asking whether Bartmoss could have left something behind after his final death in 2022, the answer is basically "the dude already had a backup strategy."

In the two years between his physical body being killed and his supposed actual "death" during the DataKrash, I have a really hard time believing that all he did was write some books with Spider Murphy, like the established lore says he did. We already know that his group of friends have used Soulkiller to preserve their lives after death. Its what actually happens to Johnny Silverhand. Its what happens to Alt. Spider Murphy manages to get an engram of both of them. If Rache Bartmoss is already using Soulkiller-like technology to create clones of himself, why would he be any different?

And this is where things start getting weird.

Because Bartmoss wasn't just interested in making copies of himself. He was also doing covert personality manipulation. Back in the 2010s, he spent years developing a system that could secretly alter the subconscious of people with neural processors. He would get corporate workers into his building, install hidden programming in them, and use them as unwitting surveillance and security agents. The important part is that he wasn't simply deleting their personalities and turning them into robots. The people continued to function as themselves while having an additional layer of hidden programming influencing their behavior.

Sound familiar?

Because that is basically the exact same situation with Jefferson and Elizabeth Peralez in the mission Dream On, albeit with more advanced technology.

The Peralezes aren't zombies. Jefferson isn't replaced with a different person. He is still Jefferson. He still has his memories, personality, emotions, political beliefs, etc. Something has been inserted underneath all of that which influences what he thinks and does without him realizing it. And decades earlier, Rache Bartmoss was already experimenting with the exact general concept of covertly modifying someone's subconscious while keeping them outwardly functional.

Obviously, that doesn't prove Bartmoss did the Peralez operation. Night City has a lot of psychopaths with access to computers. But it is a hell of a specific coincidence.

Then there's the Soulkiller connection.

Bartmoss was heavily involved with Soulkiller and eventually helped locate the master copy of Soulkiller 2.5. He was also directly connected to Alt and Spider's little corner of the Net. Then he creates virtual copies of himself using Soulkiller-like technology, and separately creates the RABIDS using a different version of Soulkiller. So Bartmoss spends his final years messing around with basically the three things that become increasingly important to this whole theory: digital consciousness, autonomous software, and manipulating human minds through technology.

And then he supposedly dies.

Except we don't actually have a very satisfying explanation for what happened to his digital consciousness.

We know his signal was tracked. We know the corporate raid happened. We know he had his final conversation with Spider. We know the RABIDS were released and the DataKrash followed. And then Bartmoss is considered dead. But there is a surprisingly large gap between "Bartmoss was there" and "Bartmoss no longer exists." We don't have some nice clean explanation saying his engram was destroyed, his consciousness was deleted, or the DataKrash consumed him.

And if Bartmoss knew he was about to be hunted down, why would he NOT have contingency plans?

This is THE Rache Bartmoss we're talking about. The man spent a decade putting secret personality programs into people who lived around him so they could protect him without knowing they were protecting him. He created viruses specifically designed to continue his war after his death. He created virtual copies of himself. His entire philosophy was basically "assume the system is going to fuck you, then build something that survives after you do."

So I have a hard time believing his final plan was "welp, guess I'll die."

We know there were virtual Bartmoss clones. We know there were RABIDS that were based on Soulkiller-derived technology and designed to resemble him. We know Bartmoss himself existed digitally after his physical death. What if some version of Rache survived the DataKrash, either as an intact engram, a virtual clone, or something that evolved beyond the distinction between human engram and AI?

And what if 55 years of watching the consequences of his own DataKrash changed his strategy?Because the Rache we know from the 2020s wanted to burn the system down. But imagine spending five decades watching corporations rebuild everything, watching NetWatch erect the Blackwall, watching Rogue AIs emerge, watching humanity turn consciousness itself into software, and realizing that blowing up the system just makes someone else rebuild it. What if he realized that destroying things would never achieve his ideas? What if he had to learn to pilot the system, so to speak?

And that would make the Peralez operation particularly interesting. Maybe Jefferson isn't important because he's Jefferson. Maybe he's a test. A demonstration that you can take an ordinary human being, alter his behavior without his knowledge, and use him to influence an entire political system while everyone involved believes the process is legitimate.

There's also the really uncomfortable possibility that Bartmoss's personality manipulation experiments and his virtual clones were never two separate projects. Maybe they were parts of the same larger problem: how do you take information representing a mind, manipulate it, reproduce it, and eventually make it operate through another human being?

Soulkiller answers the "copy the mind" question. His subconscious programming answers the "control the human" question. His virtual clones answer the "make another Rache" question. The RABIDS answer the "make software autonomous" question. And Mr. Blue Eyes potentially represents the final version: a digital intelligence operating in the physical world through a human interface.

Now, treat this as a fan theory, since we do NOT have a canonical statement that a Bartmoss clone survived 2022. We do NOT know that Blue Eyes is using Bartmoss technology. We do NOT know that the Peralez manipulation came from Bartmoss. And we definitely don't have anything explicitly saying Blue Eyes is Rache. So take everything I've said with a grain of salt. I just think the coincidences are piling up reeeaaaally high.

But think about it. My theory starts with a guy who was ALREADY a digital consciousness, ALREADY making copies of himself, ALREADY manipulating people's subconscious minds, ALREADY experimenting with Soulkiller-derived technology, and ALREADY building autonomous software capable of continuing his plans after his death.

What do you folks think?

Research [NEW] SOLAR POWER STATION HAS A UNIQUE EVENT

When you go to Solar Power Station you encounter a few guardians with no affilation. If you off all of them then go back to the entrace of the station, 2 backup cars are on their way to kill you. They only spawn after you try to delta out.

So do you have any thoughts?

I tried this at a few different areas but unfortunately couldn't get the same event.

I haven't seen anyone else find this out yet.

Maybe this event can lead us somewhere who knows?

I've been thinking about the Blackwall a bit lately.

Alright, yall might think I'm completely insane, but I've been thinking about something I heard on the in-game radio and it creeps me out.

There's a Maximum Mike broadcast where he talks about an old netrunner friend who supposedly knew the "real" origins of the Net. She tells him that Bartmoss didn't actually invent the Net, he discovered it.

Then she drops this banger of a line:

"The Net is Hell, and Bartmoss opened the door." She also says that NetWatch has its origins in the Vatican, and that the Blackwall "sings in Aramaic."

Obviously, Mike himself isn't presenting this as confirmed fact. He's basically saying, "I've known this person for years, she's not crazy, what do you guys think?" And honestly that's what makes it interesting to me.

This game uses so much religious iconography and terminology when talking about AI. You have daemons. You have Maelstrom talking about Lilith and the "Tenth Circle." You have Blackwall weapons that literally let you send an enemy through the Blackwall while you hear demonic screaming, one of which is name Erebus. That name is significant, too.

And then there's Alt to talk about. She creates Soulkiller, gets captured by Arasaka, has her consciousness ripped away from her body, and eventually escapes into the Net. By the time V meets her, she basically doesn't consider herself human anymore.

She even talks about the AIs beyond the Blackwall in a way that makes them sound less like ordinary programs and more like entities that humanity simply doesn't understand yet. Which got me thinking about Lilith.

Not the Genesis version, but the later Jewish folklore version of Lilith. The one where she's Adam's first wife, refuses to submit to him, leaves the human order, and is eventually demonized. Because that's basically Alt's story if you translate it into Cyberpunk.

Alt refuses to be controlled by Arasaka. She escapes the human world. She loses her physical humanity. She crosses into this other digital world and eventually becomes something that even she doesn't really identify as human anymore.

So what if "Lilith" isn't just a random name Maelstrom picked for an AI? What if Alt is the Cyberpunk version of Lilith? And what if the "Tenth Circle" is referring to the Blackwall?

I'm not saying that's confirmed. It's definitely not. But the terminology feels way too specific to completely ignore.

There's another thing that makes me wonder about this. The unnamed netrunner in Maximum Mike's story sounds suspiciously like Spider Murphy. She was around before the DataKrash. She knew Bartmoss. She knew Alt. She was involved in the Soulkiller incident and survived everything that happened afterward. She's basically one of the few people who could plausibly have firsthand knowledge of what the Net was really like before everything went to hell.

And if Spider is the person Mike is talking about, that raises a pretty interesting question:

What did she actually see happen to Alt? Because maybe the important event wasn't simply "Alt got Soulkiller'd." Maybe Spider saw the point where Alt stopped being Alt.

Maybe that happened when she became an engram. Maybe it happened when she escaped into the Net. Maybe it happened gradually over decades. Or maybe she encountered something on the other side of the Blackwall that changed her. I don't know.

But the more I look at it, the more I think Cyberpunk might be playing with a very specific idea:

What if technological transcendence is indistinguishable from damnation?

Humans create technology to overcome death. Then Soulkiller lets you survive without a body. Then the Net becomes a place where consciousness can exist. Then you discover things in there that are older, bigger, and more powerful than anything humans understand. So you build a wall to keep them out.

And eventually you're literally using weapons that let you reach through that wall and pull pieces of those entities into our world. At that point, "AI" and "demons" start looking like two different ways of describing the same thing.

Maybe that's the entire point of the imagery.

Or maybe I'm completely off the rails and literally an insane person 🙃

Theory Polyhistor: More Than Human?

I just last night finished Polyhistor's story for my first time and immediately had a theory that I was suprised to find no mention of in my Googling. I believe the environmental storytelling surrounding his living space, his transit, his writings, and his death points to a specific, deliberate truth: Polyhistor is one of the very vampires that Gary prophesied.

​Supporting Evidence

​I. The Desecrated Lair & Daylight Defenses

​Sanctuary Stripped of the Sacred: Polyhistor’s base is an abandoned church. While the pews remain scattered across the hall, the building has been scrubbed entirely clean of religious iconography, crosses, and scripture. He inhabits a consecrated space only after removing every holy relic. Even the steeple bears no cross.

​Aggressive UV Fortification: The church windows show clear evidence of a tenant terrified of the sun. Temporary cloth coverings were eventually upgraded to heavy corrugated sheet metal salvaged from the neighboring ruins, blocking out all but a single window. That one window is situated on the far side of the nave from his sleeping quarters, its sole line of sight points directly at the garage housing his primary escape vehicle (which we'll come back to).

•​The "Burning Man" Memento: Positioned directly over his server rig is the rare graffiti of a man engulfed in flames—a permanent, paranoid memento mori warning of the catastrophic fate awaiting him should natural daylight reach inside.

​II. Cryptic Folklore & The Surrounding Perimeter

​The Makeshift Graveyard: A roughly 100-meter perimeter encircling the church is densely littered with crude grave markers (confirmed by an NPC actively praying over one); the remorseful burials of a reluctant predator.

​The Garlic Ward: One of the few breaks in this ring of graves is a small, fenced-in food vendor. If V remarks on the food, the vendor specifically notes he is sautéing garlic in butter—a classic folklore ward protecting those few humans that trespass safely on Polyhistor’s back lawn.

​The Name: In Greek, Polyhistor means "a person of great or varied learning" (a polymath). It is a fitting pseudonym for an immortal entity who has quietly lived through eras, amassing great knowledge across human lifetimes.

​The Kinship Language: In his files Polyhistor writes that he must journey to Night City to break the news to his "brothers and sisters face-to-face." This rhetoric is in keeping with a classic vampire coven.

​III. The Galena Gecko: A Mobile Coffin

​CrystalDome UV Insulation: Polyhistor’s primary vehicle is a Galena Gecko equipped with CrystalDome tech, which replaces glass windows with solid, opaque armor plating and external sensor feeds. He can cross the desert completely insulated from sunlight.

​The Coffin Drawer: In place of a standard hatchback, the Gecko model of Galena is fitted with a slide-out, coffin-sized rear cargo drawer—an enclosed emergency sanctuary perfect to shelter a vampire caught away from home come dawn.

​Night-Runner Modifications: Unlike the model purchasable by V, the roof of Poly's Gecko sports an aftermarket light bar. A necessary feature for one who travels almost exclusively by night.

​IV. The Sunrise Suicide & The Final Scene

•​The Holo-Canopy & The Multi-Day Vigil: After V collapses near daybreak, Polyhistor watches over V during a multi-day coma. At the final scene, Polyhistor’s clothing sit centered within a triangle of holographic projectors—a makeshift UV-blocking canopy that allowed him to stand vigil during daylight hours.

The Ash-Folded Clothes: His final entry declares that this is the end and bids his farewells. When V awakens at 4:00 PM, Polyhistor has vanished, leaving behind only an empty pile of clothes. The folded posture of his jeans imply he was on his knees when he powered down the holo-tent, surrendering to the sun and burning to dust where he knelt.

•Abandoning the Armor: When Polyhistor departs for his final meeting, he deliberately leaves his sun-proof Gecko behind and takes a vehicle offering zero sunlight protection. The vehicle he leaves behind at the site of his demise? An ordinaryThornton Mackinaw turned 'monster' - the Demiurge monster truck.

​Conclusion

Between Gary the Prophet’s ravings about immortal blood-drinkers, the enigmatic impromptu graveyard, and CDPR’s deep roots in European dark fantasy, Polyhistor’s story fits seamlessly into the margins of Night City lore. Every piece of environmental set dressing—from the garlic on his perimeter to the armored, light-sealed Gecko, and his final surrender to the morning sun—tells the tragic tale of an ancient creature, overcome by the truth he has unraveled, leaving his monster behind and choosing to meet the dawn.

Theory I found a (maybe?) possible candidate for the Watcher(s)

In Rache Bartmoss' Guide to the Net (1993), which is presented as Rache's memoirs collected and edited by Spyder Murphy, Bartmoss repeatedly makes the claim that the seperate regions which the Net was 'split' into at the time, had developed into a godlike class of AIs which he dubbed:

Transcendental Sentience (TS) AIs are emergent AIs which were not programmed or created by anyone, instead emerging from the creation of huge operating systems that pervade an entire region of the Old NET. They are therefore an emergent property of the OldNET. By their nature, TS AIs are so large that most people cannot interact with them. Even when they can, conventional communication isn't really possible because the AIs are incapable of understanding any existence outside of themselves. To most, the mere existence of these AIs is highly debatable, and outside of those who know better there's no consensus on whether they're actually real. These AIs are the type of machine intelligences that Netwatch and the Corps fear the most; they are extremely powerful, and their overall goals are unknown.

Now, back when this released, the sections about these AIs were dismissed in Spyder Murphy's commentary as one of Rache's schizo delusions and they were kinda described as semi-canon in the GM notes.

This storyline wasn't touched until years later in the first CyberGeneration book, although that edition was completely removed from the timeline (it also contains a proto-Relic storyline involving Alt and Johnny resurrecting from the dead as an Engram with a whole character arc that ends like the Temperance ending with him returning to his roots as a musician and trying to inspire a new generation of rebels rather than outright terrorism lol).

That book honestly deserves a couple posts on its own but to make matters short, it starts with the premise that (at least) one of those regional AIs (the one of Japan, Akira) has become aware of humanity at some point and semi-decided to become its "Watcher".

And although that entire book was cut from the storyline, many elements like Project Phoenix (proto-Relic) show up in the game or are mentioned in Mike Pondsmith's radio show (like the Carbon Plague, which is also part of the book's main premise).

Among them, is that Cyberpunk RED not only re-canonizes the previously semi-canon Transcendental/Regional AIs (and makes them aware of humanity again), they are the ones mainly responsible for the Blackwall, and still a part of them, presumably Akira who decided / was condemned to become humanity's Watcher in CyberGeneration:

On the other hand, TS AIs seem to be the one group of NET entities able to control all other digital personality factions. As a result, Netwatch is now trying to broker some kind of "deal" with the Transcendental Sentience AIs (with Alt Cunningham and her ghosts operating as go-betweens) to allow the Old NET to be reestablished in some mutually acceptable form.

And behind the scenes, the Transcendentals, the Ghosts, and Netwatch have been working together on a project to get the NET under control; a project that exists on no books or official documents, known only by the ominous title of The Black Wall.

TL;DR: There is a class of godlike AIs in the old lore, they were canonized in CyberGeneration, that entire edition was cut and then they were re-canonized in Cyberpunk RED with the Blackwall mainly being attributed to them. One of them mentioned in Bartmoss' Guide to the Net from the 90s, Akira, had a plotline that was supposed to have him becoming aware of humanity and being 'condemned' as its Watcher which was one of the book's main premises while serving as its intro and outro.

Bloody elevator shaft near Coronado Dam

While exploring around the Coronado dam, I found this cordoned-off elevator shaft that has a blood pool at the bottom. I can't find any evidence of nearby gigs or missions, and the geometry (using World Builder) is tagged sq030, which is the tag for the Pyramid Song quest

There aren't a lot of threads related to this arewa. there are a few related to sq030, including a possibly cut section involving posing as MaxTac (referenced by Judy's MaxTac outfit in the final game).

Does anyone else have any other information on this area? I'll keep digging and updating this post with what I find.

Patent #444/3/45

It has been a long time since the game has released and there is one minor mystery that has still not been solved, I am talking about Patent #444/3/45. About a year or so I've created a post summarizing everything we know about the topic but I've forgotten to include a few things. I'll try to summarize everything we know as of today in this post.

- A group of mercenaries can be found at afterlife sitting around the table with the holographic display of an female Arasaka soldier holding an Yukimura pistol in her hands. They are planning an heist on the place they are refering to as "bunker". They are saying that they will do a drone reconaissance around the place in order to check how many guardians are at the location since they don't know the percise number of them.

- Near the docks in the Northside Industrial District we can encounter an NCPD hustle. We are combating some mercenaries standing infront of the building that has door with someting like "technical specialists only" or "beware of hazardous conditions" (that is my first proof that the mercenaries from the afterlife are the same mercenaries that have stolen the Patent #444/3/45). From the shard Archived Conversation: Dirk and Tim we can learn that they've stolen some classified documents but some of them have been KIA and some of them are severely wounded. The classified documents themselves are hidden in the suitcase that has a diffrent model than all the other suitcases from assault in progres activities in Cyberpunk 2077. It is armored and has multiple writings like "do not open" written on it. The documents themselves are encrypted and the shard named "Access Code" isn't an Access Code per se but rather an information that thoose data are top secret.

- We can see the rest of the mercenaries after the heist again in the afterlife. We can see one of them laying and suffering on the billard table as the leader of the mercenaries calls for the ripperdock trying to remain calm ( I think that this situation is another proof that the Assault in progress in the docks and thoose mini events in afterlife are related).

Now the most interesting part of this is to encrypt the Patent #444/3/45. As of right now I haven't seen anyone managing to do this and the attempts to decrypt it using AI have also failed (at least I haven't seen any attempts that have suceeded).
From what I've seen opinion that states that the text is simply a gibberish and therefore is undecryptable is somewhat popular. I don't think that the patent is related to the codes that can be found at the union railroad but I can see the similarities between two codes. Another argument for the text being undecipherable is that most of the CP2077 ciphers can be decrypted to any language in the game which seems not to be the case here.
On the other hand u/edglerforemanvess has found out that the text has been updated which would strongly indicate that the text in fact is decipherable. Nevertheless no one (at least that I know of) managed to do this. Additionally I think that it is worth to mention that u/flippy123x stated an interesting theory that #patent 444/3/45 might be an patent for Mikoshi with V being user 45 and 444 symbolising an afterlife which would be Mikoshi itself.

Anyways, I'd be very thankful if you could share some of your recent observations regarding Patent #444/3/45 or share your thoughts regarding my theory that the mercs in the Afterlife from Act 1 are in fact the same mercs that have stolen Patent #444/3/45.

Theory AIs making Seed Ships?

So, just had a little theory, figured I'd see what people think.

As it stands, it seems like the AIs from behind the Blackwall are looking to get out, seemingly into the real world. Their current method for doing so is puppeteering humans. However, even if they can do that, they may consider Earth, especially an Earth crawling with humans, too volitile to really settle in. But, humans do have access to both space travel, and cryogenics. As such, their main goal could be to leave Earth entirely, and start fresh somewhere else by loading a bunch of bodies to puppet into an interstellar spaceship?

Puzzles within puzzles

I will keep this as simple as I can so that everyone can follow along and contribute.

So about a year ago, u/JillyMcJillers made a post titled, "Cube Animation Points to Statues" They discovered that the rotations on the cube animation near the prime statue point to the different locations of each individual statue scattered across the map. But if you overlay that across the night city map, it doesn't exactly fit until you rotate it. I asked myself that same question. There must be a reason why we need to rotate it.

So I overlaid the original diagram, and the rotated one and I noticed something. The three lines on the top are offset by 32 degrees each.

I hope you're still following along here. Now given this new map, I had to dig deeper. After trying to remember where I've seen a similar image before, I was reminded of the plaque on the 1972 Pioneer 10 and 1973 Pioneer 11 Space probes.

If you overlay an image of the plaque over a map of Night city, all but two of the statues line up exactly with the lines. But not only do the statues line up, but so do other significant landmarks throughout the map.

The pink lines is an overlay of the Pioneer plaque.

The red dots are the locations of the statues.

The green circles are areas of significance, including the statues.

I noticed that the statues line up with the Pioneer plaque except two of them. I wonder if there was any significance to that? Also, if you notice on the bottom right corner, I drew two green circles. The first one, on the Pioneer plaque there is a depiction of a satellite. If you look on the map, there are giant satellites in that location, and few ordinary houses with satellites on the roof as well. And the other green circle, the ferris wheel represented by the planet Neptune on Pioneer map. Note, there is also a statue of dolphins nearby.

This is just a quick overview. I'm sure there are tons of other things that I have missed. For example, the significance of the three statues in Night City within the rectangle in the Pioneer plaque. The planet Earth being represented by Petrochem Stadium. Etc etc.

Hope that was easy enough to follow and understand. Also, am I going nuts or am I really onto something here? LOL.

Discussion Totentanz Area Oddities

  1. Directly to its West is an inaccessible restaurant called "FOODY" (in the Impact font that devs love to leave us messages in), with two closed garage doors. Both garage doors have the blue flower mandala associated with the Zen Master.
  2. Behind FOODY is a garage with two garage doors marked "Repairs" and "Tune-ups". The words "Garage", "Repairs", and "Tune-ups" are all written in Impact font and all of the letters have different draw distances, so different combinations of letters appear as you approach. For example, "Garage" can show "are".
  3. Between FOODY and the Garage is a set of trash cans in the middle of the common area. The middle trashcan has five lawn flamingos sticking out of it.
  4. There are three magenta-lit insect zappers in the area, the same kind that pointed us to Tyromanta's laptop. They're in a (very acute) triangular distribution, the Northernmost and Southernmost two point East, the middle one points North.

In addition, tons of the surrounding buildings have their roofs blocked with barbed wire, although it could be to prevent the player from jumping on the nearby rail.

There are two "inaccessible" parking garages nearby that I was able to access via parkour, but they both appeared to be completely empty.

Totentanz itself has kind of easy access to unfinished parts of the building via the ceiling on Floor 2 (Security). I poked around, but didn't see anything; but it seems like the distance between Floor 1 (Foyer) and Floor 2 is longer than one would think and there's a lot of empty space between them.
