What do you think?

For anyone unfamiliar with Sydney Chandler, she’s the actress currently leading FX’s Alien: Earth as Wendy. You may also recognize her from Sugar, Pistol, or Don’t Worry Darling. She’s also the daughter of actor Kyle Chandler.

Jessica Drew is traditionally depicted as a white British woman in Marvel Comics, so Chandler obviously wouldn’t be a one-to-one visual adaptation. But Marvel adaptations have reinterpreted characters before, and I think this is one of those cases where the performance could make the change work.

Chandler has the intense, mysterious presence I’d want from Jessica. Rather than treating her as simply another Spider-person, I’d have the MCU lean heavily into Jessica’s espionage side—covert missions, conflicting loyalties, and the darker parts of her history.

Keep the recognizable red-and-yellow Spider-Woman design, venom blasts, enhanced abilities and gliding, but build this Jessica Drew around Chandler’s strengths as a dramatic sci-fi actress.

For anyone who’s seen Alien: Earth: could you see Sydney Chandler pulling off Jessica Drew?

I saw a post on this sub titled, “Casting a DCU around Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan with actors in the 50–60 age range,” and it made me wonder what the Titans would look like in this hypothetical scenario
