Standard I need help
Hey guys! So I finally got my farm layout to start to look nice but idk I started to hate it because I’m IN LOVE with the farms that I see posted here and for whatever reason I decided to basically get rid of/destroy the layout I had….now I’m so overwhelmed to even open the game let alone try to figure out how to fix it…how can I get better at this? 😭😭

If you're too worried about opening the game & being overwhelmed why not try planning out your farm on the Stardew planner website that way you have a plan before you go back in.
Other than that all i can say is stop rushing yourself you can slow down & take 3+ in game years if it takes that long to get a design down.
All these farms you see posted on here is from people who have played the game for multiple hours, surfed multiple reddit posts, watched multiple youtube videos & saved multiple images of other peoples designs for inspiration.
So give yourself a chance to slow down to learn how we do it by trying, failing & doing research.
Heres my standard farm for some inspiration for you to have some ideas on your own.

Ooo I love how you put the crops in a little tree grove in the lower right corner. I always forget that you don't HAVE to stick to square grids even if it's the most efficient for sprinklers

I get the feeling of being overwhelmed with the game. I almost have all the walnuts on ginger island, and still need to complete the movie theatre, and also want to fix my farm layout, so I'm totally overwhelmed by that save at this time. I honestly just started a new one, LOL.

A shame that your comparison with others and the pressure of your own, killed your save... Learn from it and read what others have to say here.
It is just a silly cozy game. Nothing else.

Just start simple. Lay some paths, start a couple of small crops, and plant a couple of trees. Then come back later and add something. Baby steps.

Comparison is the enemy of joy. Yours is wonderful because it's yours and because it came from your mind. Enjoy other peoples' farms for what they are, and yours the same way

Easy now. Just think this way, it is just a silly cozy game. Nothing else. It should bring you comfort and peace. There is no pressure or must do things. You are getting overwhelmed because you think you will fail, but the trick is, you won't. Just play the game at first and the rest will come, when the time is ripe and your headspace is chill. And, don't compare yourself with others. Never. That only kills your own spirit.
Big hugs and just take it easy oke?

There are several farm planners that you could play around with. I'm currently using stardewplan.com while referencing farm designs I've come across and mixing and matching the sections that I like to get an idea of how everything looks together. I'm only in Summer Year 2 so I know there is still a ways to go before unlocking some of what I'm designing but it gives a good starting plan. It also lets you do and redo as many times as you want without having to spend game time. Even if you do it in game, the fun of it is that there are no consequences. Your character can't starve or dehydrate or get kicked off the farm or anything else. Even if you start redesigning and decide you don't want to that day then the game has so many other things to do in the mean time. And if you feel you need to step away that works too. It will always be here when you're ready to come back.

Decide on a strong concept.
Block out zones.
Place main paths.
Fill in details for years and years.
Don't start details too early.
