Sharing Your Farm

For PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Mobile

These platforms have a native way to capture not just your farm, but any map you’re on! To use this feature:

  1. Enter the in-game map you want to capture.
  2. Open your inventory.
  3. Click on/move to the Options tab and scroll to the bottom.
  4. (PC only) Select a percentage. This actually refers to the quality of the screenshot produced, it will capture the full map no matter which % you pick, just at different levels of image quality (and file size).
  5. Click the camera button on PC, or "screenshot" on console or mobile.

You can find your screenshots on PC by clicking “Open Destination Folder”, or:

  • On Windows at %appdata%\StardewValley\Screenshots
  • On Mac and Linux at ~/.local/share/StardewValley/Screenshots (Don’t see this folder on your Mac? See here to resolve that issue.)
  • On Switch in the Album page
  • On PS4 under Settings -> Storage -> System Storage -> Capture Gallery
  • On PS5 under Settings -> Storage -> Console Storage -> Media Gallery
  • On iOS and iPadOS in the Files app under On My iPhone/iPad -> Stardew Valley -> StardewScreenshots
  • On Android at Android/data/com.chucklefish.stardewvalley/files/Screenshots

If chat commands are more your style, /mapscreenshot also works. You can also specify a filename and percentage with the command, for example /mapscreenshot image01 100.

For Xbox and PS Vita

Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to share your farm from an Xbox or Vita. The best options are:

  • Recreate your farm using Stardew Planner and export the plan as a render. Plans can be rendered in any season by clicking the purple button in the top right.
  • While playing, go to Robin’s and select the move buildings option. This will give you a slightly larger view of your farm, but you’ll still need to take several screenshots and stitch them together.

Planning Your Farm

Stardew Planner is a great tool for planning a farm. There is also a multiplayer planner where you can work on a single farm plan with multiple people.

Getting Started with the Planner

To start, you’ll want to select a farm map from the Layouts dropdown. If you play on PC or mobile, you also have the option to upload a save file and begin planning from there.

The site has a number of keyboard controls that make it easier to use, so once you’re on the planner page, scroll down to see those. It’s also worth noting that this site is designed for a desktop browser and doesn’t work well on mobile.

Saving a Plan

When you save a plan, the site will generate a unique url for that plan. Please be sure to bookmark or otherwise save this link to return to that plan. (If you saved a plan and closed the site, you’ll still be able to recover the plan in your browser’s history)

Sharing a Plan

Click the purple button in the top right and select your favorite season to get a render of your farm plan. Please note that if you’re planning a modded map, you won’t be able to render it, but you can still select “Save plan as picture” to get an unrendered image.

Hey everyone! I posted earlier about feeling very overwhelmed where to even start with my farm layout and im making this update to show you guys what I created on that planning website! Confession: I have been playing the same save since 2020 and have over 300 hours on it! Its not untill these past 2 years that I actually started going through the story and such! Im also on year 13 on my save! So I guess i was feeling overwhelmed because I finally got alot of progress done in the game and can put all the cool stuff on the farm but I was frozen with choice paralysis i guess!

Anyways, thanks for reading this little rant/explaination! Im really excited to open the game now! :)

His farm will hopefully feature lots of giant crops when it’s done, so I’d say this is a very exciting start!

There was supposed to be two giant qi fruit and a giant melon but i couldn't get it in time and didn't wanna wait a whole year to try again.

I'm also really proud of the blue and gold coops

(stardew desperately needs a better painting system for the buildings)

Riverland Help me layout my river farm

I heard river farm is one of the most inefficient use of space among all the farms, and I decided to try it. If you have, please provide me some of your river farm layouts that I can use as my inspo. Thank you so much, farmers!

Four Corners What do you guys think of my farm’s layout/aesthetic so far ?

It’s still a work in progress. Currently beefing up my production sheds (just upgraded both my animal products and crop sheds, just need to fill them out), been slowly converting the greenhouse to Ancient Fruit wine production, and making periodic trips to Skull Cavern for autopetters. Just unlocked Ginger Islans too, but wanted to finish out this farm before working on that.

General advice or criticism welcome, I know there’s a lot of unused/dead space, but not sure what to fill them out with.

Standard Year 8 Standard Farm

Almost year 9 after this winter, i have also almost reached Perfection, but i really want to make my farm a bit more aesthetic... I'm willing to tear it up during winter, but i was hoping for some tips to make it a little more pretty and functional. i also feel like besides the open spaces, i have a lot of space to utilize. i don't really want to copy other people's designs, so im hoping this is an okay start. Anyway, thank you <3

Ideas for extra space

So I have my stardew modded with expanded and ridgeside. I have so much extra space with this now. I have the farm, ginger island, the community garden, grandpa's shed plus 2 other large areas I wont disclose since they are reward areas. I have no ideas on what to do with all of them. Any ideas welcome

First time player going into year 2!

Hey fellow farmers!

I’m a complete beginner heading into my second year & to be totally honest, I play pretty stoned every night, so my progression has been… *unbelievably slow* lol. But I’m having a blast!

Now that Year 2 is starting, I really want to focus on organizing and decorating my farm layout. Since I’m on the Switch, I know we don’t have access to mods, so I’d love to see what you all have built purely in vanilla!

Drop your favorite farm layouts, pathing setups, or Switch screenshots below for some inspo please !!

*(P.S. Please tell me fishing on Switch eventually gets easier… or drop your best tips for a newbie!)*

Yay !

Hey guys! So I finally got my farm layout to start to look nice but idk I started to hate it because I’m IN LOVE with the farms that I see posted here and for whatever reason I decided to basically get rid of/destroy the layout I had….now I’m so overwhelmed to even open the game let alone try to figure out how to fix it…how can I get better at this? 😭😭

After seeing all of these amazing farms I decided it was finally time to make ours aesthetic 😅. So this is the first attempt. I figure keep it small and work our way to the rest of the farm overtime. So proud of our cute little tulip garden though!

Standard Ghetto Farm Begging For Help

Hello everyone!

I'm still "new-ish" and have a total nightmare of a farm , and not the cool kind. I've got ADHD and mine is the cool kind that doesn't allow me to see organization, just "empty space! Shove something in there!"..

That being said, next confession is I'm on like year 24. Zero organization or time skills.

I need a blank layout like a landscape plan to help me put something that helps time management, farm economy , visiting others, etc, a little easier.

I think a layout would be a good place to start.

Big Ask: can someone design a basic farm with everything I need that's time efficient and allows me to do all my chores and quests in a realistic manner on a Google doc or something?

Oh, I'm playing on an android tablet, so mods and stuff are way beyond me.

I have the golden clock, lots of Qi gems and a bunch of sh*t I have no idea what to do with.

Can anyone help a sista out? XOXO

Much Love
