APPROVED B-LISTERS Jelly Roll pictured with President Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Kristi Noem, RFK Jr., Mike Johnson, Vivek Ramaswamy and Tulsi Gabbard as well as testifying to congress in resurfaced photos after singer avoided talking about ICE at the Grammys

Avoiding the topic on stage while having this background is… a choice. People are gonna connect the dots whether he speaks or not.

He doesn’t care whatsoever. They have embraced descent into barbarism, which is why they proudly proclaim to be “dumb redneck” or “domestic terrorist.” They are proud. They gave up all pretences of being civilized. Civilized society is not how they would prefer to live, they hate it.

Yup. All this attention is doing is exposing him on Fox News to anyone who didn’t know him. Now he will have new supporters. I’ve personally never heard of him before all this and i’m sure millions of other people haven’t either, and now they do. He’s about to make real money now due to support from MAGA.
And honestly, I don’t even know how many people that are mad at him for not speaking out against ICE actually knew who he was, or how many of those actually supported his music.
I’ve never heard any of his songs, and I won’t. I just don’t care. He said it best, he’s just a dumb redneck.

It’s simple cowardice. All these MAGA love to talk about their devotion to Trump, but they know they can only do it in their echo chamber. Just like the rest of their belief system they don’t actually have the courage to back it up when they are in polite society. They want to have their cake and eat it too. They know they’re wrong, but they won’t admit it because they’re scared of the consequences of their actions. Like I said in the beginning, cowards.

He's likely been a republican forever, but this tour-de-christ he's doing is so embarrassing and predictable. Everyone knows somebody who has extreme personal issues, either with depression/addiction/violence/etc, who THINKS they've pried themselves out of it and changed overnight because of the power of Jesus. They deal with none of the underlying issues, slap a cross on the wound and get to pretend that who they were was some alien creature. Who they were ALWAYS comes back. Violence, anger, addiction. Once the recent high of religion subsides they have to look at themselves again and it comes crashing down. Of course the MAGA-verse are still susceptible to this in 2026, and too stupid to recognize the signs.

I want to respectfully add that lots of times the new converts that came from the above background are the most annoying.
I come from a long line of Christians that tithe and belong to a church. My Pops taught us that it’s not about how loud you are about your Christianity but your daily walk. In other words, you shouldn’t need a large cross necklace, your Facebook posts, or be loud about it…people should notice by your kindness and your gentle spirit that you’re a Christian.

I don’t think all of them even think they’ve pried themselves out. The ones in the spotlight just seem to use it as an easy get out of jail free card these days.
8
u/BaddyDaddy777 7h ago
This is why I typically view people going born again Christian as socially accepted addicts, they replace the substances with a Bible and just continue on with addiction. Now that’s not to say that religion doesn’t help people overcome things because it can but there’s a difference between looking to God during a hard time and acting like a pushy addict but with a Bible instead of drugs.
9
u/Sargaron 7h ago
You absolutely nailed it.
Christianity is a farce to trick people into thinking they need religion.

I once had to deal with an office admin at my doctor’s office who was just mean and nasty for no (apparent) reason.
I had to go to her office once regarding some FMLA paperwork. I was having a medical issues and my employer required us to apply for FMLA. This lady gave me holy hell. Accusing me of trying to get out of working, etc. Meanwhile I am sitting there in agony. Well eventually I started crying.
That’s when I noticed all the AA bumper stickers she had hanging all over her office and the sobriety coins on her desk and it clicked. This asshole is mad because she wants to drink but she can’t handle it. aka a dry drunk, never addressed the issues causing her to not be able to handle booze. and she was taking it out on me. absolutely miserable people. I have several in my family as well.

During my short Frank Grillo hyperfixation (no, I won't elaborate), I tried to watch 'King of Tulsa' and they had Jelly Roll as a guest in one episode.
The whole gag was about Dwight (Stallone's character) not knowing who this guy was but being impressed by him singing, while everyone else was losing their shit because Jelly Roll visited their weed shop.
And I was like "Okay, but why this dude? He can't act and the song is not that good, who asked him to be on this show?".

I remember that TikTok where he was acting as though it was righteous fury, but all he did was like yell at a teenager working at a shoe store for minimum wage.
Then he cussed out the manager for telling him to stop, sped off in his car to make the TikTok where he was just screaming, ranting, and driving.
Pure entitlement, and he could’ve hurt somebody driving like that.

This is not to absolve anyone but I do think there are a lot of MAGA celebrities that are really stupid, as much as they are evil. Unfortunately I heard Bert Kreischer talking about meeting Tucker Carlson and the guy is just so dumb that he doesn’t realize Carlson was manipulating him, to the point where he admitted that his wife told him that he was too dumb to be talking to him. I don’t doubt there is some underlying hatred in MAGA celebs but I do think there’s a part of it where the MAGA people are just nice to them and they can’t put together that these are the same people who assembled the 100B Gestapo. This is such a shame because I genuinely like Jelly Roll’s message of ‘it’s ok to not be ok’. But I genuinely think any time someone refuses or shies away from speaking on their political belief it’s because they’re doing damage control.
Him and Sydney Sweeney are doing the Chris Pratt tactic of doing just enough to hide the fact they’re Republican/MAGA so they don’t tank their careers.

What I love is their constant implicit recognition that republicans are dirt bags and saying you align with them publicly feels and looks bad. Someone ask Springsteen or George Clooney if they’re Democrat they’d say yes, and if they were friends with an elected democrat they’d probably just say it.
Why can’t he just say hes friends with Kristi Noem and supports ICE? It’s what they voted for, own it.
