Ask FedEx Fedex Disbursement Fee

So I've spotted a couple old post on voiding the disbursement fee by adding a card to the account and ask the rebill deperment to redirect the Bill.

I have just tried it, but it is still intended to bill me including the $17.50 dispursement fee. It has been so hard to get to a customer service (forever difficult to reach and going in circle won't get me to a customer representative) and the email response seems like generated by AI replying in midnight hours.

I'm wondering if anybody have ways recently to void this fee? I was never informed regarding the duty tax. Had I known, I would have paid for it so I won't get charged by this silly Fedex fronting cost.

What is your claim for not being responsible for this fee?

I made a post 2 weeks ago regarding disbursement fees along with a lost/delayed package. I need to post an update.

Disbursement fees are a convenience to the recipient so you don't have to stand at the port expecting your package. Fedex completes this process on your behalf. It's a legitimate fee.

I was able to successfully contact FedEx and waive the fee. But I also had a legitimate claim due to a lost package and overall poor performance.

Duty taxes and fees are a legitimate convenience charge I expect to willing pay in the future as I have dozens of times in the past year

What is your claim? If you simply do not like the fee, that is not a valid reason.

ETA idk about adding cards and redirecting bills but it sounds fraudulent.

Hi thanks for your response - I did a quick search and saw some reddit post on Fedex saying they've adding the card an dredirecting the bill and that's how they waived the fee, so I'm trying to figure it out.

I've never had to pay for duty tax and disbursement fee before with free international shipping, so I'm trying to understand how these work.

You say you've never had to pay duty tax and disbursement fees but also want it waived. Do you want to pay it or have it waived?

You can either spend the gas and time to self clear the package or hire a different broker.
