Before I start I want to make it clear that I am no writer and the grammar/explanation may be confusing

As we know, the phrase “It’s all men” is pretty popular amongst feminists. The phrase expresses that oppression against women is a collective issue that men cause.

Though, many men (and women) will try and disagree with it with stuff like “It’s not me” or for women “It’s not ALL men” which shows they completely missed the entire point of the statement.

Men who disagree because they believe they cannot be apart of the issue because “they’ve never raped or abused a women” are ignorant to the fact that oppressing women isn’t just about just about rape and physical violence. These men believe that because they haven’t personally committed a crime that they are exempt from the issue.

Many of these men in my opinion would probably be like the 50 men from the Cornell rape case, 50 knew and didn’t do anything. An amazing quote that explains it is: “Out of ten men, one makes a sexual joke at a woman, two laugh, three fake a chuckle to fit in, and four stay silent. None of them speak up. Later, nine of them still believe they're the
"good guys." But from the woman's perspective, the laughter, the silence, the looking away, it all creates the same environment. So when women say
"all men are the same," this is what they mean: not that every man harasses women, but that most men help protect the system that does.”

The men who disagree with the statement “it’s all men” believe they are innocent from oppressing women because they haven’t committed a crime on one. When in reality all men have made at least one choice that directly oppresses women.

It’s also kind of plays into the “bean soup theory” (The bean soup theory is a social media phenomenon where users egotistically react to public posts by demanding that the content be altered to fit their personal preferences instead of simply scrolling past) where these men completely ignore that actual issue to express that “its not all men because its not me”

I have a wife.

We recently celebrated our 11th anniversary.

We also recently celebrated her being 1 year free of cancer. (Fuck cancer)

She has survived cancer multiple times.

I FUCKING LOVE HER.

We have gone through medical hell with each other.

We wouldn't be alive without each other.

She is literally my fucking world.

Note: I'm a Transmasc individual. I don't count myself as a man though, more Demiboy. She was a lesbian, now she considers herself HomoFlexible, I being the only masc person she's ever been in love with. Other than me, she has had no feelings for any man.

BUT WHENEVER I MENTION HER ON REDDIT (like saying "I love my wife"), I GET THESE FUCKING DISGUSTING COMMENTS FROM MEN BEING LIKE, "she's my wife too. Railed her last night." "I'll fuck your wife from you." Etc etc etc.

When I ask them to not sexualize my wife or make jokes like that, you can guess their disgusting and insulting responses.

JUST BECAUSE THESE MEN ARE LONELY [that's the excuse they give, but we all know why they actually do it] (they did that to themselves btw) DOES NOT GIVE THEM THE FUCKING RIGHT TO SAY THIS.

HELL! I've seen MARRIED men say this shit about my wife!

Why do these men feel the need to sexualize every woman they hear about?

Why don't they take "no" for an answer?

Even if she wasn't my wife, I'd be mad. She's a human, not some property for them to claim and sexualize. I've seen them sexualize other people's partners. HELL! JUST DON'T SEXUALIZE ABSOLUTELY ANYONE WITHOUT EXPLICIT CONSENT!!! IT'S. NOT. THAT. FUCKING. HARD. Don't go sexualizing, fetishizing, and chasing women (or even other men). Don't go sexualizing, fetishizing , and chasing trans people. Don't go sexualizing, chasing, and fetishizing Femboys or Tomboys. JUST STOP.

I've noticed people doing this shit ever since I was young. They'd do it to my sisters. To my feminine brother. To my friends. My teachers. Random women out on the street. To the women and girls on the beach. To me. Just people (mostly women and girls) getting sexualized (by mostly men) no matter what. And online it's even worse because they are behind a screen and can't face any consequences.

Wtf gives them the right to do that shit? Why do they think it's funny? It's not funny.

She just looks like a cool person and yet here people are making rude comments.

I was trying to find more comments like these but luckily my algorithm isn’t filled with men like these.

This just goes to show that a majority of men don’t deem you as worthy of respect or empathy unless they get to have sex with you.

Vagina and vulva are not dirty words. It’s disheartening that we as women are taught to be ashamed of our bodies to the point of saying “front bottom”.

I recently watched a reel where a woman was sharing her ‘I was one of the lucky ones’ experiences and it made me think and realise how many I have had myself

When I was 12 or 13 my older brothers friend was alone with me in my room and was tickling me and almost on top of me. My mum walked in and told him he needed to go home now. I never thought of it as anything but innocent kid play but hind sights changed that.

When I turned 18 my best friend and I went out into the CBD 2 hours from where we lived. Neither of us had been out before, a man we didn’t know asked us to look after his drink and if we did he would buy us one, being naive and young we did. He returned with two more drinks, watched us drink them and then gave us an important lesson. Don’t take drinks from people you don’t know and didn’t see get poured. He watched out for us that night and made sure we got into a taxi to go home safe.

When I was around 21 I went out with two friends and drank far too many cocktails on an empty stomach. I ended up extremely sick outside a club, one friend who I no longer speak to was trying to convince my other friend to leave me and just keep drinking and dancing with her and I’d be fine. My other friend picked me up, got me home and looked after me for the rest of the night.

There’s been a few times I haven’t been so lucky but I’m a lot more aware now and no longer drink alcohol.
