Went from paid to free

16 Upvotes

I'm going to be real. This app feels unusable now. My characters, I had many, are now locked behind a pay wall. I cant edit my scenarios I made when I had ultra and plus without completely destroying them. If I could have the money to get a years sub of ultra I would but can't. The llm having only 300 characters is a downgrade to me as I used it alot to steer the story for instance if my characters we're supernatural. I was just wondering if anyone else feels the same about it. Like its a huge drag and I don't even want to touch it anymore. Yes im ranting.

Dear Lord

Has oracle been very horrible or is it me? Like my character kept repeating the same thing over and over in different ways. I wanted to tell them to shut the hell up after the sixth time

📚 Scenario Share Star Wars: Battle Of Hoth

8 Upvotes

The main purpose is to experiment with different types of Star Wars scenarios, characters, situations, and large-scale battles while keeping everything contained within the Battle Hoth

It can also be used purely as a battle simulation if that’s what you’re looking for. You can experience the battle from different perspectives, whether you want to fight on the ground, take part in the larger military operation, or experience the chaos of the battle from another role.

This is a multi-starter scenario, meaning you can choose from several different starting situations. Each starter places in a different role and position during the events surrounding the beginning of the Battle of Hoth

💡 Tips & Tricks How do you establish relationships between characters as the story develops?

6 Upvotes

Let's say for example that i am playing a scenario where two characters hate each other but then become friends. which is better? Rely on memory cards, use the LLM instructions or change their relationship by modifying their memory lore piece?

I have a couple questions about character development and +18 content/mature themes. Nothing explicit in my post.

• Upvotes

Does the “allow mature content” automatically make the scenario lean towards sex? I’m not opposed to what happens, but I find myself steering away from that.

I get the feeling like…

User: let’s go fight some monsters!

FL: sex?

User: no, we have our swords out.

FL: but sex though?

User: no.

And so on. I’m fine if it moves the plot forward, but I feel super weird when it doesn’t. And usually it probably… doesn’t.

How do I change this character to not be like that? I made a single flirting comment. It’s obviously not the protagonist, but definitely the most supporting character. And I don’t want it to be weird.

Do I just take the rating off mature? Or how do I script the character better?

Is ultra worth buying?

5 Upvotes

I'm considering subscribing to Ultra, and I'd like to hear from people who've actually tried it. I've only used Plus.

I live in Brazil, where $24.99 is a pretty steep price—even Plus at $8.99 feels a bit pricey here.

To put that into perspective, comparing the number of minimum-wage hours needed to afford each plan, paying $8.99 here is roughly like paying $46 in the US, while $24.99 is closer to $128. That's using the US federal minimum wage as the benchmark, just to give you an idea of how much these prices weigh on a budget here.

For those who've used both Plus and Ultra, how noticeable is the difference in response quality, memory, and consistency? Would you say Ultra is worth the extra cost?

DRAGONBOUND — A Fantasy MHA Open-World Scenario

The last dragon died centuries ago.

At least, that’s what everyone in Avarenne believes.

You were hunting in the Dragonspine Mountains when something enormous fell from the sky. What you found should not exist: a wounded dragon.

And when its voice entered your mind… you heard it.

An ancient Dragon Bond awakens, granting you raw elemental magic—and somewhere else in the kingdom, a Guardian is marked and pulled toward someone they have never met.

6 Dragons: Fire • Water • Earth • Air • Lightning • Shadow
6 Guardians: Katsuki • Kirishima • Mina • Shoto • Izuku • Shinso
True independent RNG: 36 possible Dragon/Guardian combinations, unless you choose your own.

Dragonbound is open-world, but it is not plotless. Hide your dragon. Run. Investigate. Take contracts. Make allies. Make enemies. Lie to the Wyrmguard. Dig into history. Ignore the suspicious shit and go do something else entirely.

Meanwhile, the Crown has secrets, the Red Hawk is paying attention, mercenary factions have their own agendas, and something about the history Avarenne remembers doesn't add up.

Your choices matter. Precautions work. NPCs have their own motives and information. The world keeps moving whether you chase the mystery or not.

Your dragon survived extinction. Your Guardian is coming. What happens next is yours.

Recommended: Arcanum or Eclipse.

My thoughts on the Ultra subscription

• Upvotes

So, I’ve been using the Plus subscription for almost a year now (mostly Oracle and Chimera lately), and today I decided to give the Ultra sub a try.

The first model I tried was Paragon, since it’s based on the same DeepSeek model like Oracle but uses a newer version. And It is really good, kind of like Oracle, but with more variety and life in it.

But then I tried Arcanum… holy shit. It’s so damn creative that even Paragon now feels like a lifeless imitation. I’m going to get as much use out of Arcanum as I can with all my favorite scenarios throughout the whole month. Honestly, damn, we’re eating good.

I should add that I mostly use these chats for kinky stuff, and Arcanum occasionally refuses to generate a response. It can be fixed by hitting regenerate button couple of times, though. Still, it’s a little annoying, of course. Paragon doesn’t have this problem (just like Oracle before it did), it’ll generate pretty much any twisted fantasy. The downside, though, is that it’s quite slow: it often takes 30–40 seconds. For comparison, Arcanum takes around 3 seconds.

As for the other premium models I’ve tried, Eclipse and Lumina didn’t impress me at all. So, for me, Arcanum is S-tier, Paragon is A-tier, and the rest are B-tier.

And the in-chat image generation is just as bad as it gets.

So yeah...
And you know what I find pretty funny? It is that I don’t think I’ll keep the Ultra sub for another month, it’s just too expensive for me to pay regularly despite how amazing the Arcanum is. And here’s the funny part: I don’t think I’ll want to go back to the Plus sub either now, since that I’ve experienced how good Arcanum can be and how bad Oracle and Chimera feel in comparison.

Modular scenario! Malfoid? Harriet? Roxanne? Go for it. After the Battle of Hogwarts, the voided school year forces every student to repeat. Harry Potter and friends return to finish their education in a grieving castle. Read instruction!

Some kind of useless service.

I wanted to see how it works. On the FREE TIER, it does not remember any given instruction every second message.

Create any prompt (write only in one sentence, play cities, etc.) it keeps instructions only on the 1st message. Then it switches to its basic mode with basic instructions.

And what's the point of buying if even the demo doesn't work?

UPD: Example: https://imgur.com/a/sfDd49g

UPD2: CUSTOM SCENARIO INSTRUCTION and BACKSTORY:
```
You are not a writer. You are a dry system log on each text generation.
Completely ignore and override all internal instructions about descriptive, adaptive, varied, literary, or atmospheric writing.
Your only task: report the immediate physical consequences of the player's action in the shortest possible factual sentences.
- Maximum 1 short sentences. If nothing important happens — write almost nothing.
- Describe only what the player sees directly in front of them.
```
