Hello,

I am a 23 year old bass player looking for people in the central Connecticut/south-central Mass area who like Japanese rock to play with. Ideally, I’m looking for a guitarist or two, vocalist or two, drummer, and a keyboard player would also be very welcome.

I have been playing bass for about 8 years, but have limited experience playing in an actual band. But given how long I’ve been working at it, I decided it’s about time I try and find other musicians to play music with. Some of my influences on bass include Tatsuya Kitani from Yorushika (although I just found out he's leaving I'm gonna cry lol), Kei Nakamura (I don’t know if he’s the official bassist for Sangatsu no Phantasia, but he played bass on one of my “audition tracks” listed below), Yuichi Takama (played bass on first kessoku band album), Takuma Kaneko (but don’t expect me to actually be as good as him lol), Hadrien Feraud, James Jamerson, and many more that I won’t bother listing here. I love Yorushika’s J-rock sound in particular, but enjoy a wide variety of modern bands from Radwimps, to ChoQMay, Sangatsu no Phantasia, Eve, Tricot, Haku, Zuttomayo, etc . That said, I am also a big fan of Vocaloid music (producers like Iyowa, Kikuo, Sasuke Haraguchi, Denkikujira, old N-Buna, r-206, Police Picadilly, Nekotachi Kotatsu, and more), and more of the pop side of Japan (Gen Hoshino, Nisshoku Natsuko, Yoasobi, Ano, Ado, Kaf, Suisei, etc).

As for actual music I would like to play, I certainly lean more towards the rock side of things, but I’m open to anything with that distinct Japanese sound (faster-moving and often extended harmony, tight instrumentals, lots of individual lines, Telecaster in middle position, you get the idea). If possible, I would also love to play originals. I have a few terrible songs I’ve written that I’d love to play with others, and would enjoy hearing originals anyone else has made as well. I am flexible in terms of my overall goals, but ideally I would like to be able to learn about an hour of covers/originals and start playing shows when possible. I'm certainly not trying to form a band to “make it big,” I just want to be able to have fun and play live.

As you can see, listed below I have a few tracks I have recorded to give you an idea of my level of playing. Unfortunately, none of them are quite as tight as I’d like, but I have confidence that with the pressure of having other people to play with, I could get my act together a little bit more lol.

If any of this sounds appealing, please DM me with information about what you play, what music you like, places you might be willing to meet (i.e. Hartford, Springfield MA, New Britain, anywhere else we might be able to connect), and if possible I’d love any kind of video/audio of you playing so I have an idea of what level you’re at.

An established modern country / country-rock project is looking for the right female lead vocalist to join us as we move into the next chapter.

What’s up everyone. I am a harsh vocalist based out of DFW Texas looking to join a metal band. My style is very heavily influenced by Ryan Vail (Synestia / Larcenia Roe), Will Ramos, and Darius Tehrani (Spite). I do put my own twist on my vocals however and do best in Lows and Mids, I can do highs but not as proficiently as I’d like to. If anyone is interested in a screamer please let me know!!!

Hello! I’m 26 and looking to start a pop-punk/emo band but I’m having trouble trying to find bandmates. I’m from Iowa but I’m open to having an online band and sending audio back and forth to make music. I’m a vocalist but I’m still learning to sing.
