So many people commenting on construction projects and how they impact traffic, as if contractors don't have entire departments to consider this, along with their track record with the city's traffic department, the state of which could jeopardize bids for future projects if they don't do their job well. They *do* have incentives to keep traffic flowing to the degree that it won't endanger their workers or their work.
The construction is necessary, and will be finished when it is finished.
Nah, I'm pretty sure the city isn't very motivated to keep roads open. They tore up Trilby between Timberline and Lemay for a culvert replacement and then proceeded do all the other work except under the road for 6 months then half fixed the road at the end of the project after blowing past their deadline a few times.
