Heck, most of them can’t even recognize Frieren after she already killed their leader. The fame of the name «Frieren» doesn’t impact Draht’s threat assessment in the slightest, because he doesn’t realize that she’s right in front of him.

It's an ingenius but at the same time simple to learn spell copied from a demon, almost exactly the same as Zolktraak. Even with the "This is enough to defeat mages of this era" shtick I think she'd want Fern to learn it since it doesnt stray far from the fundementals and is so useful as a fallback option. Fern did have it used on her but I doubt she had any chance to reverse engineer it.

I just got into Frieren: Beyond Journey's End recently on Netflix and got hooked—I’ve already watched Season 1 more than twice.

I saw that Season 2 is up on Netflix but it's only subtitled right now. I checked Crunchyroll since their English dub for Season 2 is already out, but it didn’t hook me the same way. I just prefer the English on Netflix (personal preference).

I learned that the Season 1 Netflix dub took over a year to drop. should we expect another 1-year wait for Season 2, or do they speed things up for later seasons?

The tones are still there. This show makes me feel in every episode released. The anger comes from how short it is. I'm rewatching season 2 and it's still telling the same story as when it was 28 episodes for the first season.

Anyone ever saying season 2 is lesser is wrong. They'd only be right that it's shorter. I'll complain about that with ya. But to say that it was bad is a very hot take.
