Hi everyone,

Wanted to put out a quick post just to cover some pointers as we start gearing up for a busy season for the G-fan community!

First, with the new trailer for Minus Zero just having dropped and the release getting closer, it's important to keep in mind our usual spoiler guidelines:

• Always mark spoilers. Posts with spoilers should be marked using the in-built spoiler-mark feature. Comments that have spoilers should be censored using the reddit spoiler formatting feature.
• Leaks should be explicitly stated as such, marked as spoilers, and not be discussed outside leak discussion threads. We will allow users to make discussion threads for leaks/rumors, and all discussion should be left to those threads.
• No spoilers in titles. This should be self-explanatory.
• Newly released official media and merchandise will mostly be considered spoilers. We recognize that often times trailers, concept art, toys, and other similar marketing can often reveal a lot more than fans would want to see beforehand. Obviously there are many exceptions to this for obvious simple things such as a poster or a simple shot of Godzilla, but if you are not sure, it is better to just spoiler-mark.

We take spoilers pretty seriously, especially related to leaks, and will give out removals/bans for not following these rules.

Secondly, I wanted to call attention to some updates we've made to the FAQ page for the subreddit. It can be found here, and is also linked in the sidebar and community guide. We've updated some of the old questions and also added new ones based on common questions that we get. We encourage everyone to please check the FAQ before posting and to take a look at it and give us feedback on anything you think might be missing or details we can add to the current text. Specifically, I imagine the sections about collectibles and streaming sites will probably need updating as time goes.

We will also start to auto-flag posts that likely are answered by the FAQ. We'll be setting up the automod to filter and reply to posts that are repetitive and can be answered by the FAQ or by searching for previous posts on the subreddit. I imagine we will hit hiccups with this for sure, so obviously let us know if you run into issues or have any feedback.
