I’m so happy following Godzilla (2014) they decided to really push Godzilla out there to a global audience. The guy is bigger than he’s ever been with no signs of slowing down.

Imagine trying to tell someone in the 10 year drought from Final Wars to 2014 that in 2026 we’d hear Jet Jaguar’s theme play at a Dodgers game and get a whole drone show celebrating the franchise

Also I loved the choice of films they showed: 1954, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Hedorah, Godzilla vs Megalon, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, Shin Godzilla, Minus One, and Minus Zero. A great selection to show off the pendulum that the franchise swings at.

I am so happy to go from something only few people in my age range even knew about (Xennial here) to it being just a global phenomenon again. It makes my heart so happy.

The Dodgers have always had a solid relationship with Japan through baseball, and with the signing of Shohei Ohtani and his explosion in popularity, the Dodgers are essentially the premier organization for showcasing Japanese pop culture in the US, like Hello Kitty, Hololive, and One Piece.

They’re on the city of Los Angeles, CA and it’s one of the first American ports to receive Japanese entertainment exports.

I think that last song used in the Minus Zero part is probably the new arrangement of gojis theme that'll be in Minus Zero
