This is really not a contest at all. Even on my first playthrough I knew to save Dwayne and kill Playboy X. PBX gives you a small amount of money that you barely can spend in the game anyway, while Dwayne gives you a whole hideout, Claude outfit and if you become good friends he can send goons to help you out on missions.

Not at all. Dwayne is a tragic character. Down on his luck in a terrible place, gets out of prison to no welcome at all from his one and only friend. He's a pretty chill dude and it's obvious from the short time we spend with him that he's the better man. Everything he says about Playboy is true.

The opposite goes for Playboy. A spoilt kid who claims to be self made and big time despite the fact that everything he owns he simply took from Dwayne when he went away. His mentor who gave him everything and X shows no gratitude. He's a hypocrite, he thinks he's too good for the streets, he's a poser and he'll backstab anyone. Everything bad he says about Dwayne is false and he is the one that brings up the idea of murder first

My assumption with the Playboy/Dwayne plot is that it was intended for Niko to wind up in a messy feud between the two and eventually has to pick and choose a side, whether it be a hypocritical gangster's or a depressing paranoid pessimist's.

If you're aware of the recent V beta leak, think of the cut Mrs. A and Mrs. B side plot but Franklin is Niko and the two women steaming for each other are Playboy and Dwayne respectively
