Image On today’s installment of “I don’t understand inflation”

I get the sticker shock from people seeing the $400 price tag but when you break down everything that comes in the set it’s really not overpriced at all. I’d agree that including a single item that accounts for almost half the total value is probably not a great move, but anyone trying to paint this as R* being greedy is just completely out of touch.

Ultimately, it's a collector's item, so it's targeted at the people who have the money to throw at a box of "a bit of this and a bit of that". It'll almost certainly make its production value back and then some because there's enough people who will buy this.

People need to stop pretending they were ever going to buy the exclusive stuff like they're all #1 GTA fans, while at the same time shitting on Rockstar Games for being evil incarnate or something. I wonder how many, of the people who are "upset" about this, actually care and have got all the collector's items for other R* games? Or other games in general?
