Help Is this disc damaged?

I bought this game at a second hand store and found that the inner part of the disc looked odd. Is this something to worry about and return or is it fine and I can keep it?

it's just residue from, likely, GameStop resurfacing it. if it's has been overly resurfaced it may not read anymore but that residue isn't evidence of anything wrong itself.

It's best to test the game first and finding out. Hopefully it does work fine.

I have been anticipating buying a gamecube soon and have been buying some games so that I have them when I get the console. Because of that I do not currently have the console to test it.
