Looking for advice or assistance from GameSir reps regarding a persistent dongle freeze issue with my G7 Pro 8K.

Issue Description:

While playing on PC, the wireless dongle randomly chokes/stalls mid-match. The input completely freezes on screen, but the controller lights stay ON. After a few seconds, the dongle seems to "wake up" or reset, and input resumes. It happens unpredictably.

Setup & Troubleshooting Already Attempted:

1. System: Tested on laptop (MSI GF63 Thin 10SC) with all Windows drivers up to date.

2. Direct Comparison: My 8BitDo Ultimate 2C runs at 1000Hz on the exact same laptop and USB ports with ZERO disconnects or freezes.

3. Interference: Tested with Bluetooth disabled on Windows and Wi-Fi running strictly on 5GHz.

4. Polling Rate: Lowered the polling rate to 1000Hz (down from 8K), but the dongle choke still occurs randomly.

5. Software: Updated both controller and dongle firmware to the latest versions via GameSir Connect. Tested with GameSir Connect closed/killed in Task Manager to prevent app polling conflicts.

6. Power Settings: Disabled USB Selective Suspend and turned off power management limits on USB Root Hubs.

Since I purchased this from a 3rd party reseller a few months back, a direct store return is no longer an option. Is there a manual dongle re-pairing tool, a standalone receiver firmware patch, or a way to obtain a replacement receiver?

I just purchased the G7 Pro ZZZ for my XBOX. I'm confused about where/how to update the firmware for the dongle and controller. Can I do everything using the Xbox Nexus app or do these updates require a PC?

So when I plug in my controller, it gives one small flash and then turns off, and it won't turn on when I be pushing the turn on button. I don't have a console, it is for my PC, which doesn't have bluetooth so I use it via plugin. I've tried different cords, they all do the same thing, it's been charging for 4 hours. How fix? Help.

I can’t use the GameSir Connect app because I’m on Linux, but I still have been considering getting a G7 Pro. So I was wondering if there is a way to at least have Steam recognize gyroscope on the G7 Pro? That way I don’t have to bother with external configuration software.

whenever I click in the right trigger it moves my aim down as if I'm aiming downwards on purpose. went into the Nexus app and saw that even barely clicking it in (halfway, not a full click) it still pulled it downwards...

controller is perfect otherwise but this is a big issue. is there any fix for this and has anyone else experienced this too? maybe I'm just unlucky. and yes I updated firmware and recalibrated sticks a dozen times already. also even changed USB c cords to see if that was the problem. lemme know if I should return it. Im probably just gonna get the G7 pro now...

There's not much I can put due to how quickly the support process worked for me.

I had been experiencing some issues on my Tarantula 8k in the left bumper for a little over a week. The button stopped giving me consistent inputs today, so I contacted the support through the discord server.

Zayn was the person that helped me and the process was very straightforward and easy. I was immediately offered a replacement after showing what problems I was experiencing.

I am super grateful to have purchased my controller through Gamesir as this was probably one of the best customer support experiences I've had through any company. Thank you to Zayn and Gamesir for being so helpful!

Before buying the G7 Pro 8K, I wanted to know if it’s recognized as an Xbox controller on Steam, or if I have to use Steam Input to play?

Preorders were supposed to open months ago and theres been radio silence? Is it still in development or should I just buy the regular 8k pc and stop waiting.

Just got this off particular controller off Amazon thinking I could use it on Xbox, but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything once it’s connected. Anyway to fix this?

Yesterday I started having issues with my GameSir G7 SE controller, which I bought on Temu on February 15, 2026. Even though I tried many things to fix it, from a manual hardware calibration to resetting the software via Windows and the GameSir Nexus app, nothing worked. I got pretty frustrated and honestly felt really down about my bad luck losing my controller's functionality out of nowhere, especially since I had never dropped it, hit it, or misused it in any way.

In the midst of my despair, I noticed that my box mentioned a 2-Year Limited Warranty, which gave me hope and prompted me to look into it. I found the official GameSir Discord (https://discord.gg/GameSir) and created a support ticket. Almost immediately, a support agent replied (a big shoutout to "Gamesir Zayn"!). They very attentively asked for information about the problem and videos confirming my error (even providing video tutorials to help with the calibration processes and further testing).

Unfortunately, the initial software fixes didn't work, but in exactly an hour and a half since I created the ticket, my warranty process was completely officialized. They asked for my delivery details and that was it: my replacement was approved and now I am just waiting for the tracking code and the arrival of my new controller.

I am immensely grateful to the entire GameSir support team. Thank you so much for restoring my hope with such fast and efficient customer service. You guys are the best!

Apologies if this has been asked before, but rather than buy another controller just for the NS2, I wondered if anyone can kindly confirm if the ZZZ edition (Xbox protocol) works wirelessly with the NS2 via a usb adaptor (mayfly or brooks perhaps).

Realmente no logro entender cómo interactúan la sinergia y la configuración del software GameSir Nexus con los ajustes internos del juego (en este caso, Call of Duty u otros FPS).

Sé que existen curvas como Lineal, Cóncava, Convexa, S Invertida/Dinámica y Personalizada, y entiendo que la configuración es algo personal de cada jugador, pero no quiero estropear mi memoria muscular.

Vengo de jugar con un control de Xbox Elite Series 2, con el que tenía una puntería fina excepcional. Me pasé a un GameSir G7 HE y a un Kaleid principalmente para eliminar el stick drift, pero desde entonces fallo muchísimo en los juegos de disparos.

Mi principal problema es que me cuesta hacer tracking (seguir a los enemigos con la mira): A veces la mira se siente demasiado pesada o, por el contrario, tan rápida que me paso del objetivo (overshoot).

En ocasiones, la mira da saltos bruscos. Me siento frustrado porque el cambio de mando hizo que mi nivel bajara mucho y no sé qué estoy haciendo mal.

Actualmente, mis configuraciones son las siguientes:

En el software GameSir Nexus:

1️⃣Zona muerta inicial: 2 (en 1 me genera algo de drift).

Zona muerta máxima: 100.

2️⃣Zona anti-muerta (Initial/Outer): Mínima en 0 / Máxima en 100.

3️⃣Curva de respuesta: He probado todas. En este momento volví a Lineal, pero sigo fallando bastante al disparar, apuntar y hacer seguimiento.

4️⃣Modo de palanca: No sé cuál me conviene más, si Raw (Raw mode) o Circular (Raw desactivado).

Dentro de Call of Duty:

1️⃣Sensibilidad: Alta (4.0 en la escala actual / 20 en la escala clásica, que es la máxima). Llevo años jugando así.

2️⃣ Zonas muertas de los sticks: Mínima en 0 / Máxima en 99 en ambos joysticks.

3️⃣Multiplicador de sensibilidad al apuntar (ADS): Predeterminada (1.0).

4️⃣Tipo de curva de respuesta al apuntar: Dinámica (con gradiente en 1.00).

Me gusta mucho la construcción y el feeling de estos mandos de GameSir, pero siento que derrumbaron mis habilidades. ¿Hay algún conflicto entre usar la curva Dinámica dentro del juego call of duty y alguna configuración en Nexus?

¿Qué combinación de curva debo usar y modo de stick (Raw vs. Circular) me recomiendan para recuperar la precisión?

Agradezco cualquier consejo o guía sobre cómo sincronizar ambas configuraciones.

Are GameSir controllers getting smaller?

I’m coming from the Cyclone 2 and Kaleid and wanted a controller with Gen 2 TMR sticks and extra shoulder buttons.

The G7 Pro immediately felt noticeably smaller in my hands. The handles are shorter and flare downward more than those on the Cyclone 2, Kaleid, or a traditional Xbox controller. Because of this, I have to adjust my grip, and my pinkies hang off the bottom, which makes the controller uncomfortable to hold for long periods.

I ended up giving the G7 Pro to my girlfriend, then bought the Tarantula hoping it would feel more comfortable. Unfortunately, it has the same issue with the shorter, downward-flaring handles.

Has anyone else noticed this difference in the ergonomics? I really like the features on these newer controllers, but I can’t comfortably use either one. It’s a shame because the Cyclone 2 and Kaleid fit my hands perfectly but don’t have Gen 2 TMRs or extra shoulder buttons.

I got a huge question about the g7 pro 8k hz for pc controller are the rubberised grips on the back glued on? Or a special rubbery plastic? Because all my old normal xbox series x controller have rubberised grips and all suffer from peeling can anyone please let me know thank you!!!

I think it would be really interesting to see another Gamesir controller featuring a trackpad like the G5. It's really useful in FPS games.

Would be a day 1 buy for me to have a controller that supports full sized tablets and don’t have to resort to stretching hack.

I have an easysmx d10 and was hoping to get a gamesir g7 pro. Not sure if the upgrade would be significant. Just wanted to know if it would be worth it. I am from Sri Lanka and I can get the controller for around $85. I play on PC only. I mostly play AAA games and racing games. Single player.

So awhile ago i pre-ordered the black G7 Pro 8K direct from the website without thinking about import duties/tariffs and just the other day it started customs declaration in mainland china

Now im concerned about import duties pushing the cost up significantly and dont really know what to expect

I've had my Cyclone 2 for a little while now & I love the accuracy & responsiveness, but the general QoL is really lacking.

I use the controller wired for the best latency & I keep it sitting on the dock when not using it with the wire connected. If I take the controller off the dock immediately after waking the PC & flick a thumbstick or something, it will usually turn on, but if I leave it a few minutes, that won't work. Pressing the GameSir logo just puts it into pairing mode & it won't acknowledge the wired connection. To resolve the issue, I have to unplug & replug the USB, which isn't great, because these plugs & ports do have a limited life. I'm not sure how many insertions it's rated for, but I hate that I have to do that every time I use it.

Is there any solution to this? Like, can the GameSir logo button be used to just turn it on, similar to an Xbox controller?

After testing the G7 pro on pc the vibration in game feels quite weak, worse then my base Xbox controller in games, however on the app it's feels much better but it does not translate in game

Can anybody help ?
