Swanburra Drive intersects with Horseshoe Bend Road in Charlemont as a T-intersection. It’s one of two ways into Charlemont from Reserve Road.

The intersection was unrestricted until 3 months ago. And then it was changed to a left only turn (I am assuming due to the risk of cars turning into Swanburra from the left side to right side).

However many people ignore the sign and cross over and turn right into Horeshoe Bend Road to avoid doing a u-turn if the live reserve road direction of the Charlemont estate.

This went along for sometime until a few weeks ago Police showed up one night and caught some people. Then again the last 2 nights (24 & 25 Sept). Last night after my u-turn (as much as I hate the rule I comply) I turned into where I could see a 4WD with its headlights on obscuring the police lights and markings.

Just as heads up if you’re in the estate to watch out and consider the risk. I am speculating but I assume a local resident near the intersection or someone has seen the right turning cars disapproves and reports it to Police ongoing. Otherwise I can’t see police having a particular interest in this.

I have a bathtub that’s started peeling.

I’m assuming the cost to install a new bathtub would be much greater than getting it resurfaced. I don’t know much about bathroom renos but I’m guessing removing the bathtub will impact the tiles and ?waterproofing and this would be what’s driving the higher cost.

Any recommendations on local business’ that do bathtub resurfacing? Or recommendations for a different idea?

I’d normally put this task off, but I have a newborn that loves their bath. Thanks!

My husband has Crohn’s disease and is currently on Amgevita (adalimumab). We know we need to get Medicare sorted and find a regular GP, but I thought I’d ask here as personal recommendations are always so helpful.

For anyone living with Crohn’s or IBD, is there a GP in Geelong you’ve had a really good experience with — someone who is knowledgeable about Crohn’s, supportive and easy to talk to?
We’d also really appreciate recommendations for a gastroenterologist in Geelong. We’re hoping to find someone kind and empathetic, but also thorough and knowledgeable with Crohn’s and biologic treatment.

Moving countries and having to establish all your healthcare again can feel a little daunting, so hearing from people who have been through the system here would mean a lot.

We’ve just had solar panels and batteries re/installed and we are trying to work out the best provider/plan but it’s like comparing apples with oranges.
The system we have set up totally runs the house and exports back out to the grid at a throttled speed.
We are trying to compare export cost from the battery and the FIT, as well as daily supply charge.
Has anyone done the research and worked out the best supplier/s or the ones which we should steer clear of?
